Elvis on stage was like a Peacock in a barn full of pigeons. I think Elvis lives on because he was such a soulful being. It kind of proves that life may die but the love lives on and on through the music.
The interview was fresh after Elvis' death so feels more real. Narratives got a little crazy later on. Its touching how he remembers Elvis the teenager and human being. Sam was a great man.
Sam didn't want to give Marion Keisker full credit for discovering Elvis. He was not there,he did not discover Elvis, and he did not record ELVIS first.
Wrong. Marion stated that Sam, Judd, and Jim Bulleit were in the building when Elvis came in to make his first personal record, but went next door to the cafe for a meeting while Marion recorded Elvis for the first time. Marion heard quality if Elvis' voice that caused her to make a tape copy of the recording that she later played for Sam.
@@atomicflash1753 Here's a RU-vid link to the documentary in which Marion tells the whole story. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--I7KSQeNt5c.html
I’m sick of the race accusations. We have 15 million white boys pretending to be black in this country. No one owns Jack Shiott when it comes to music etc. In fact Elvis opened the DOOR for many black artists. We are done discussing the truth. Later Lucy!!
Small minded people have no sense of perspective of the past nor creativity and evolution of art. They're in effect calling for music to be re-segregated. Elvis, Jerry-Lee etc were pioneers of rock 'n roll but some refuse to accept it.
