Sam is real, not a TAKE 45 kinda guy in this fake ass world of make believe perfection. I love his content and family spirit having his sons and at times his wife chiming in in the background. Sam got me cooking again, my family is happy when they see me cause Auntie / Roxy (that's me) gonna throw down 😏. And on a serious note helped me through my depression. and how not to take things too seriously... Thank you

His humor is low brow disguised as high brow, it's a cheap gimmick pulled off by rarely laughing and throwing in some curse words and pretending to be distracted. It's a well thought out idea that suckers in a lot of people. He makes good food, though.

Lemme tell you why some ppl don't like him... 1. His type of sense of humor is very specific, a little on the "dark" side as I call it, and for ppl who have that same type of humor, (me), we think he's hilarious. HOWEVER,,, for those who have a sense of humor that is not in alignment with his, or is the opposite, (nice, sweet, thoughtful of others, etc., like my wife's), Sam rubs them the wrong way. 2. I think ppl who are think THEY are the best at everything and THEIR humor is the best - they feel threatened by ppl like Sam who is smart and accomplished in his own right. Those are 2 reasons I can think of on the spur of the moment...

This is Granny Mermy here from Calgary Canada. I’m a very young 71 year old who has raised 4 kids to mid 40s. All of them, especially the 3 boys loovve cooking. I’m loving watching you cook and kibbutz with your sons. I especially get a warm glow watching you enjoy everything you’ve made. It takes more of an old school kind of attitude to understand the humor Sammy. People these days don't understand inflections. Everything is taken literally with no context. I love the humor and the little side comments. You can tell your son loves you by his interactions with you. I don't have to worry about tell you not to change because you have that old school mindset. You do you and whoever likes it likes it and whoever doesn't, doesn't. Important thing is getting people to start thinking about food and you've nailed it. Love your content. Keep up the amazing work. Shout out from NZ.

Truthfully, the first time I saw one of your RU-vid videos I asked myself "is this guy for real?" Then after watching a few more episodes including the 10 best foods to eat in England (which I thought was brilliant) I am now hooked on your show. I love your enthusiasm. I love the dynamic that you have with Max. I love that you can make a whole episode on the humble hot dog. I am now a recent subscriber and I'm working hard to catch up on your past 500 episodes. I'm with Rod on this one and as a Brit living in Poland I've mastered scotch eggs, pork pies and egg 'n' bacon butty and a full house (baked bean puree, bacon, suated mushrooms, sausage and fried egg) it'd make a great breakfast burrito so I bought a contact grill. Keep up the good work we get it.
