I’m here sobbing because of how much positive energy and traction Sam is getting here, I’ve loved him for the longest time (I’ve even met him and he is the sweetest man alive) and I’m so SO proud to have an entry that we can really get behind and seems to be turning a corner for us! Definitely one of the greatest takes of you guys. There are several things I noticed here: 1) The fact that BOTH of you, yes even Deban, REALLY feeling this one showing there's enthusiasm on both sides of the coin 2) The fact you acknowledged the negative comments but still gave CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. 3) The fact you could see tears almost about to fall from William's eyes at one point near the start of the video, showing that after many battles lost here in the UK it's still possible to send a good entry! I'm so hopeful for us this year. I believe with the right staging we can get a top 15 or even top 10 finish. I really do. This guy can sing live, i've seen it from him. We should be proud this year!

I'm so excited for Eurovision 2022. It will be the first time since 2011 that I'll be watching hoping for a great result. We all know juries go for vocals above anything else and Sam's vocals are amazing. I think we have potential to come Top 5 with the juries if not win the jury vote and I've not said that for years. Was anyone expecting North Mecedonia to win the jury vote in 2019? No way. Listen, I'm excited. We definitely will not get bottom 5 this year.

My take on it was that he's saying that when you go looking for answers, often you find nothing. A lot of us go through depression and emptiness and we long to find a way out of it, assuming that escapism is a way of dealing with it, but when we get there, we often find nothing but emptiness. We all long to go 'home' because home is an important place where we feel cosy, safe, secure and we can be ourselves. We all long for these things. I love this song. His incredible vocal doesn't make this a sad song, even if there is a tone of melancholy to the lyrics, he sings in such an uplifting manner, giving so much raw power which gives the whole package energy. So much so that you don't even realise that its over before it starts! It's so enjoyable. Good luck to Sam....I appreciate that he's put himself in the firing line and believing in himself enough to take on the mantle for the UK.

Strongest UK entry in years period!!! Real Elton John, Ziggy Stardust & a bit of Marc Bolan vibe IMO & very endearing British feel to this song with a very heartwarming video which had the Brit humour but also moving at the same time, quality entry UK!

I was waiting for you, guys. William I feel exactly like you. This is excellent beyond UK. This is excellent music. It's a little Elton, a little Bowie, EXTREMELY British and it has some weird grunge vibes, but more emotional than frustrated (even the video reminds me a little of Blackhole Sun by Soundgarden). Sam is just perfect. I didn't know him and I'm literally about to enter TikTok just for him. In love with the UK this year. 🙏🏻♥️ Together with France, The Netherlands, and Serbia are my favorite entries this year.

After a few listens I love it. It has a great hook and the BBC performance Sam did this week was wonderful. His vocals were on point and he moved around with ease and confidence. I feel like the message of the song is that we aim for higher things and once we get there we realise there isn’t actually much there and it’s not as great as we thought it was and how the things we want we already had and how it’s time to go back to that.

She I here the song I get the same feeling as when I here "love shine a light" it my favourite song on the contest this yean and I've never even chosen my own country's song over Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Sweden over the past decade.
