Thank you!!! Just purchased this yesterday at Sam's Club in Wisconsin! Had to take the batteries out and put them in again according to your instructions and everything connected perfectly!!
I got one a few months ago for around $35. Works great. I just found the smaller weather station/ atomic clock from Lacrosse for $20 at a grocery clearance store. Bought 7 for Christmas presents.
I bought mine some 15 years age when they were selling it under Skyscan brand. The external temperature sensor died after a few years. But the major issue is the calendar is limited to year 2049.
Looks like a great addition to an office environment or clean room. Your explanation of the 'burst' radio signal to save energy RE MINDS me of how a good bug works as WELL> The RE CORD DING device stores the data UN till a programmed period of data dispatch or RE LEASE that CAN condense hours of listening into a microsecond of broadcasting to a RE CEIVER. It might bee longer if there are video or other more complex data SETS. EYE came up with a 'rock' or other outside object that could have an embedded data storage UN IT in it. This was called ''DATA MINZ"" and would bee able to save data for a RE SIP EYE ANT WHO comes by to trigger the 'rock' into sending out its data packet. The minz might also bee collecting local environmental data like a bug and could also act like a sensor for footfall detection by land surface dislocation as found in defense industry applications used in prior military border security engagements.
Greg, that small red light when does it come on? The reason I ask because I have lost my outside sensor some where in the garden. If I go out at night will I see a red LED light ? It is working, active , because the clock outside temperature updates itself .
