Just a few of the funniest Scanlan and/or Sam moments from the first 59 episodes of Critical Role. Please tag spoilers in your comments! All clips belong to Critical Role: / @criticalrole
Pretty good, but you missed Scanlan on the flaming house during the revolt in Whitestone screaming "I'm gonna kill everyone in this motherfucking house!"
@@ethanvives1868 Grog lost a bareknuckle pit fight and was bummed out. He ordered some food on the tavern and Travis mimicked Grog's pity-eating with an IRL piece of fried chicken Sam hilariously hijacked the scene by saying that he wasn't eating regular food: instead, that Grog had just grabbed a random piece of wood and started munching it as if it were food
I love Liam's reactions...it's like...I can't believe my wife said that. And Travis still hasn't learned it's a bad idea to take a drink when Sam is talking.
You should make a part two! I suggest: “This is just how Schindler did it.” _Cue general facepalms, disbelief and laughter_ Laura saying “SAMUEL!” with absolute disapproval will never not be funny to me.
"Spring snakes" is the best thing that Sam ever did. Just the timing, the hand movement and how casually he says it just gets me everytime for some reason :D
What I took from this video on my third or fourth re-watch... Force Unleashed was released almost 10 years ago, it's now an old reference, god help me.
I can't wait for all the Scanlan stuff in the animated series :3 On a side note: Seeing how beautiful Felicia Day is I once again get a bit sad how annoying and unappealing her character in DA2 was :(
From what I’ve heard, he was on drugs and often cheated at the table. He also made a comment to Laura about somethin that was super disgusting and made the energy of the entire table super uncomfortable. The final straw was near the beginning of the Briarwood Arc. I’d suggest checking out the comments around there
@@sethcragan6649 Never heard about that one. Well he was known to be the spotlight taker quite a bit which annoyed others. He was like a combination of Metagamer, Powergamer and Cheater player types. Maybe it was only because of the drug abuse, mental health problems and such. Who knows? Maybe he would be a perfect player and loved by the community if it wasn't for all the shit he was going through. Just to clarify... I am not defending him but it seems like he was getting way better with his problems as far as I know when Draconia Knights were a thing on his channel.
There were problems on the show of him wanting to constantly be in the spotlight. Wanting it to be the Tiberius and friends show. And he got pissed and unruly when that didn't work. He tried to take on all the popular attributes of other characters for example. Metagaming and cheating on die rolls. You can see looking back that later Sam and Marisha were delegated to policing his dice rolls as he tended to lie about them, and then quickly grab the dice before they started watching him like a hawk. It seems likely there was some more stuff behind the scenes that we never got to see, and they won't discuss. It's good to note that After the left the show And after he was healthy and supposedly off the drugs, he started a go fund me for one of the ex-mods from Draconian Knights when her father was killed. He never informed her about this, as she was no longer a mod at the time. She heard about it and asked him about the money he raised for her, and he said that he had some bills to pay, some new equipment and games to buy for his streaming, and after he paid that stuff he would pay her the money he had gotten from people donating to her. He made an "apology" video about his actions on CR, which turned out rather than an "I'm sorry for what I did" turned out more "It wasn't my fault I was on drugs" rather than "I made mistakes by getting on drugs". His girlfriend at the time, who was in the video later accused him of abuse and released a voicemail he left screaming at her like a lunatic. Other girlfriends also accused him of abuse. There were also fake accounts that people linked to him that he used to insult and harass the members of CR and CR fans on social media. Again this was all After CR, After the drugs and health problems, and during Draconian Knights.
