I loved the US version of Being Human, mainly because of you Sam! It was a great cast and truly funny, spooky at times, and pulled at my heart strings! You truly did a fantastic job at playing all of the layers of the emotionally wounded vampire - the eternal angst!
Yeah. It was WB during about the first half of Smallville's run. The UPN merger was the main reason for the name change since Warner Bros Studios then didn't own the network exclusively anymore. They renamed it The CW 'cause the network was now co-owned by CBS and Warner Bros (the C standing for CBS & the W for Warner Bros).
ditto. I loved the show and all of the main characters, Sam was obviously excellent. I found out later that he was also involved with Star Wars. SyFy was stupid for not putting more effort into the show.
Such a great show. I'm currently rewatching all the seasons currently on season 3 and I visited some film locations in Montreal where it is filmed another American show is filmed in Canada 🇨🇦
As a fan of everything monsters, I thought Being Human was the shit!!! I honestly can't think of another type of show in its genre that enjoyed as much. Was truly sad when it ended so suddenly.
My mom and I loved this show. I joined the party a little late but was hooked from the start. Sam's character probably got the most beat up it was hilarious.
Sam is incredibly talented and has some legendary voiceover roles with Darth Maul, Starkiller and Deacon from Days Gone. Seeing him in a leading role in Being Human blew my mind cause he’s usually a villain like in supergirl or once upon a time. I really wish he’d get more leading roles in live action cause he’s terrific.
Sadly, this seems to happen in every business these days. Product A is doing very well, but Product B isn't. Wisdom would dictate that Product A be propped up more while Product B gets dumped, but executives seems to have it backwards. And that's why we don't get great TV shows anymore.
Then Syfy made a werewolf show starring Laura Vandervoort wtfff 😂. They already had a show with Werewolves in them!!! 🤦♂️ Both Sams and Meaghan had amazing chemistry! I’ll truly miss this show.
wtf 😬 so cool hearing about the behind the scenes money stuff involving Being Human. Such poor management of their money. If a show is bombing, more publicity never really seems to help. Just prolongs the inevitable cancellation 🤦🏻♂️ The only publicity I could see working is the actors directly interacting with fans or the general pop thru social media or conventions like comic con. Supernatural is a good example of this. I never gave a shit about tv advertising but loved watching that cast be themselves & crack jokes with fans at the Fan Conventions. That made me stick with the show for almost 10 years 🫡
Pretty sure they could use some sort of plot armor for a continuation of this series into a season 5 or sequel. Would love to see a continuation of this series =]
Yeah Supernatural, Smallville, The Buffay universe and Charmed is what kept WB/CW alive Everything else the hair just died immediately for the longest time
So thats what happened... and because of the bean-counting, benjamin-greedy Bureaucrats i can't find seasons after 3... that wwas what that cashier meant at barnes and noble... good grief
Being human UK came first and it wasn't going to be a supernatural show at first it was going to be a one off drama so they would have never been a being human usa if that had happened
Why the hell would u put the money of an already successful show to another one that is clearly not doing well ? Oh stupid executives so many good shows have gotten cancelled while shitty ones stay 😩
