To everyone wondering why the camera operator missed out on some solos in this video, it is easy to explain. See the keyboard player wearing earphones? That's because he is plugged into a DI, not an amp. Therefore, no one in the room except for our audio engineer and any band members also wearing headphones are hearing him play. Anything not plugged into an amp is silent inside this studio, however all the instruments are heard by the engineer, by band members wearing headphones, and by our audience. Unless you are listening to the mix going out over the air, you hear mostly just the loudest instruments in Studio B -- drums, guitar, etc. Following the action of a big band on an unfamiliar song in such conditions is difficult to begin with, and we only have the one camera currently. That said, if anyone is inclined to buy in-ear monitors for our camera operator, then they could hear everything in the room just like our audience does, and zoom in on all the solos just fine.
Some people expect 'official video' footage out of a radio show.. the song played, and from his vantage point, your video recorder guy gave a good overview of the different instruments, and players used in the song. Im sure Samantas not complaining, Props to your guy!!
I don't care how many people are in the room or what they are up to, when Samantha Fish is doing her thing, focus the camera on her and leave it there.
It makes no sense , I get the idea that people are looking at this clip as if this is rock video made for MTV or something so they are reviewing this by what they see, doesn't Sam have a real video for the song faster where she's driving a car I guess the people who want to watch a movie should check that out because obviously they are not capable of listening. You know when she breaks down that sweet guitar as solo,it is practically orgasmic!
Finally, someone with technical expertise in audio recording got a chance to record Samantha Fishes new masterpiece. This song require subtlety her soulful, gorgeous voice and the subtlety that she delivers the song in, requires this.
Wow! Wow! & Double Wow! Samantha looks Gorgeous, sounds Gorgeous n plays Gorgeous! Hope to see her over the pond here in the UK someday soon! Keep Rockin Sam n stay safe! Absolutley Awesome, just what everyone needs to hear & see! Thanks for the vid : )
Blows any Lainey Underwood Swift posers AWAY. This is talent Nashville. This takes time and effort, not purdy hair and connections. Kick that ass Samantha
As much as I dig Samantha's playing, I don't want to forget to credit the other musicians in this track, they are all in the zone (the violin in particular brings in a lot of excitement).
Samantha Fish is Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!! I'm buying all her albums..... She plays a mean guitar Has an excellent singing voice And I enjoy her videos and concerts videos I haven't been this excited about a guitar player since Stevie Ray vaughan
Samantha is the complete package she's the greatest woman ever to pick a guitar, great songwriter and singer a fabulous live performer she becomes alive on stage she is immense!!
I saw her just as the COVID situation was easing, here in Los Angeles at the Troubador. She's the real deal with that guitar in hand and up on a stage with an audience in front of it.
Bonnie is indeed a next-level artist, owing much to the time thru which she emerged.. But i think when it comes to Guitar chops (esp Blues), Bonnie would confirm that Samantha has the chops like no one else. She's in league with Jimmy Page himself, if you take gender into account ~
Love it, especially the bridge (2:40 - about 3:30 ); nice camera shot down the fretboard showing her picking style. Also like how she's playing it soft(?) with the slide, then gets rid of it with a 'fuck this thing, lets rock it out' attitude.
The keyboard work a little more than 2 minutes in reminds me of the late Ray Manzarek. VERY rich and trippy. LIKE! (LOVE the dynamics/light and shade here.)
Samantha Fish'd make you take back shit you didn't steal!!! Gorgeous!!! Genius!!! Fiddle player was finer'n frog hair too! Great band,I think camera man had a head injury.
WNCW is one of the best radios on Earth. Only a couple hours from South Of Mont here at High Rock Lake, yes, that is the real name, and it lives up to it. Thank you Samatha, and thank you Spindale for a really clean recording.
No doubt Samantha is an incredible force with amazing talent there's just a smokin' aura around her and you just can't miss it, she blows me away with every vid I see.
Love how restrained this is for such a big band. Awesome voice and she can really make that SG sing. I'm not keen on a lot of modern blues, but this was beautiful..
Damn it, the ONE time I get on youtube the past however many months or year...I see a bunch of hating on the camera work. Shut up...musicians are working here...and when it's good, shut up. Let them do their thing...the camera is irrelevant .
Well said. Although cameras are never irrelevant when Samantha is available - she’s a goddess. That said, while this song is incredible, I miss when it was just Go-Go Ray and Chris Alexander and barefoot Samantha with a cigar box guitar.
Nice to see a real musician who really gets into playing every note instead of just cranking out something for the 1000th time on automatic... Looks like someone I would want to see play live.
Great lady, great tunes! Thank you WNCW for her being there! This lady is a great singer, instrumentalist, rhythmist, and she’s good looking too. She deserves all the acoladies she gets. Been hearing her for over 5 years now, this is a great vlog, thanks to all who made it happen!
Dam girl... You are epitome of a Siren. You could sing to me and I would follow as if in a trance. And I loved that "Kill Nashville Pop" sign in the studio. Awesome!
Very Tastefully Done , Enjoyed it ,love the sound everyone playing to the song like it should be done. No Athletics , No Overplaying. Thanks Great Job.
The late great Leon Russell would have been all over this and letting her work her magic, he had that kind of guidance as a musician and producer. Samantha is a real treat, heart and soul.
Every video of Samantha i see i am more amazed at her use of dynamics and her passionate singing and guitar playing. She is so great it is mesmerizing. Wonderful talent.....this gal is here to stay. Best get on board the train now!
