I saw her sat in gatwick airport once reading a book on her own when she had only just started out...why didnt I go and say hello!!!! I'll have to live with that till the grave.lol.
I just discovered that she did Eurovision. It was the year I was born. This video bring up only the one question. Why hasn't she aged since then!? 20 years ago and she looks near as damn it the same as she does now! Wow ....
when i was a kid in the 80s samantha Janus came to our Halloween party, she'd made a witches costume out of bin bags, a smaller boy asked her for one of her sweets, when she said no he yanked her costume of in one go, i'll never forget her running up the road naked screaming, poor kid, but I'm still laughing 35 years later
Omg, my dad used 2 fancie her :P he still does actually :P:P lol, shes such a fackin beautiful person lmaoo & singerr (Y) i was born 3 yrs after this lol my mom has this on tape n idk y lool she is a very good actress singer & model :D i love samantha janus (Y) lol xx
This sounded so much better than that dreadful orchestration in Rome! And I think I preferred these clothes instead of those petticoats in Eurovision, suited the serious message of the song better. Can't believe it's already twenty years ago... TWENTY YEARS! Am I old??
Who'd have thought she'd end of baby snatching, & losing her daughter Danielle to a tragic road acident in EastrEnders playing Ronnie Mitchell. Amazing how well Samantha has aged...considering this was 20 years ago.
@GoldenOldiesOn45RPM As I remember it, it was regarded as controversial as well and that can't be dismissed either! As for singing out of tune, there aren't many Eurovision performers who've actually sung IN tune!!
Is this the only song she sang cus if it isn't i would like to listen to her sing another song. I never heard of this song till last week and i didn't know Sam Janus was a singer. I have the hots for her id love to meet her in real life
She woz better now..thann wht she woz inn tha EuroVision..lmfaoo she is good..didnt think she woz that gud in the E.V but on TOTP2 she izzz...defo wow!! luv her [Ronnie Mitchell]
Stephen O'Donnell The music that was played was played in a different key than the one they learned it in, so they kept having to correct it. There were many technical problems during Eurovision 1991, too.
I didn't say that Eric made the comment about her, I was paraphrasing him as the comment was so apt. !9 or 90, you know whether you can sing or not & she cannot!!! Sorry if that upsets you but thats life.
I can see why people fancy her, and the other famous foxy Samantha. I can't understand why so many guys fell for Kylie, 30 years ago, though. Maybe the late Michael Hutchence could have explained that; it certainly mystified me!
@gummygobbler1 - Your comment is total fiction I`m afraid. This song is a sole composition by songwriter Paul Curtis and absolutely nothing to do with Hazell Dean. I think Hazell Dean did sing backing vocals behind the scenes but the least said about that the better given the out of tune performance on the night
You wouldn't say that if you heard her at the Eurovision. It was truly appalling - As Eric Morecambe once said "It was the right notes, nor necessarily in the correct order!!"
Nice song-failed possibly because it was too serious for Eurovision. Sam has aged very well, she is still very attractive! I admire her for her stance against the story line in EastEnders-they did go too far in search of ratings.
@prisonervi The majority of people from the other voting countries dont speak English and if they do its only pigeon english and they certainly wouldnt have understood the irony of some second rate iffy lyrics ( personally i think theyre about as controversial as a wet lettuce ) set to a pop song melody . Their ears would however have recognised a seriously out of tune performance
@Gyphia Yes, his past is well behind him now. She on the other hand is a very ong is hitesuccessful actress ie EastEnders ps the song is absolute shite lol
I think she looks pretty hideous nowaways. When her face goes from normal to smile (or vice-versa) there's something odd about it. Check it out next time you've the misfortune to watch East Enders.
