Okay this is not the samba I was looking for BUT I’m so happy I found it because I didn’t know what ballroom samba looked like and now I do! Loved it 😊
@@DanceDoctor Samba is brazilian! Is not correct to say brazilian samba, if is not brazlIian, IS NOT SAMBA!!! Samba is a brazilian word and just belong to BRASIL.
This was very well explained. Every dance has it's own hip and feet movement and also a difference where you apply your weight. Most don't know to explain this. Well done, masha Allah.❤
I love the fact that you break down everything into component parts. But here is the one thing I fnd confusing by the presentation. When you first present the bounce at around 1:49, on the "and" (i.e. eighth note) before the beat, you emphasize heels up and hips forward--but you also have knees bent. The net effect of bending knees with heels up is that your head and torso are not really bouncing up and down. Later on, the knees are bent on the beat and straigtened on the "ands", so of course here above the waist you do bounce down on the beat and up on the "ands". That seems correct, but my concern is that if I practice the excercise at the beginning, my muscle memory will have knees bent with hips forward (and heels up) which is the opposite of how you are doing it in the dance. What am I missing?
