For many years i completely disregarded the "Grach", both the "A" versioon and the "T", considering them cheap and arcadeish, then i started flying them and i must say that those modules are massively undersold. They are two very nice modules and i actually made two tutorial series on them, i like them that much. If we ever get a full-fidelity version of them i would buy them in a heartbeat, and if Virpil ever makes "Grach" HOTAS i would buy them instantly!
@@bmbpdk I keep meaning to take another look at the T variant, had an amazing 20+ kill run with it once on the Sinai map, including a dogfight with a Harrier but the replay system broke and it demoralised me so much I never used the footage. Gutted about it now, especially since the trackfiles have been broken for months… Don’t have the footage anymore :( Which server do you fly the T model on?
@@Bullet4MyEnemy I have flown no more than a single sortie or two in multiplayer, and that is across a decade of DCS´ing. I exclusively fly singleplayer and flew the campaigns back when they worked and wasn broken beyond recognition. I do like the DCS Liberation mod campaign, that is a very nice mod that i enjoy a lot. Perhaps i should try multiplayer again when ED have released the infamous patch, subject of much discussion, and fixed the servers.
The Thrustmaster AVA is a gamechanger, I love the thing especially mounted on a cockpit. Really enjoyed this video, I've just started with the Su-25T a week or so ago and I'm learning it as much as I can. I love this aircraft, would love to try the A variation as it seems like it could add a bit more of a challenge without the Shkval
I honestly prefer the A model, flight performance is so much better and the lack of Shkval makes weapons employment a bit more hands on and rewarding. The T model lends itself more to a more modern environment due to having better weapons, but the flight performance just leaves me feeling more vulnerable.
Are you using the HSI as your primary way of navigating or the F10 on these FC3 planes? I love the Frog but wish there was a way of changing a heading cursor or some kind of visual aid on the controls that lets you set a specific heading. I really struggle seeing the numbers with my old eyes.
@@rutrose2000 I mainly use the HSI for BRAA calls to find aircraft, but the map for ground stuff - if you change the markers to the Russian type under special settings then it shows your heading on the map, makes it a lot easier.
Taftanaz will always stick in my mind because I had to divert to it once after having my F-5 shot to pieces and basically ended up losing the jet just because the runway is so piss takingly tiny lol. Basically pretend it’s a carrier, with the chute acting as the trap wire.
You'll have to wait till flares and chaff are models properly along with seekerheads, but when that happens, low fast pop ups are good OR _"eye and shooter*_ /wild weasel tactics if the AI wants to play nice or you have buddies to go with
I really wish I could get into DCS. I have like 4 modules but I can't stand sitting there for hours on end just trying to remember how to start up the plane and bind all the keys.
Just use auto-start, most people do. Then the more familiar you get the easier it’ll be to understand what the switches do and you can learn the start up later. Win + Home
Tbf it’s bloody terrible lol, it’s meant to be a mix of “Uncle Sam” because we’re fighting America, but also IR SAM because quite a few crop up. So IRncle SAM - possible it doesn’t remotely work with certain accents 🤷🏼♂️
