Sorry for your loss. I have been an amateur radio operator (ham radio operator) since 1996, and just got my GMRS license this past January. Before then I was into CB radio, got into that back when I was 13 yrs old just after my dad passed away. Again, sorry about your uncle. Juddie

Newman, you need a radio for sure, especially for you and your son. Of course, at deer camp. You know that we have been using radios for years and years. I can't remember if I started the idea or Jerod. I just know that I became an amateur radio operator in 1996, and I carried a radio. I guess it may have started back then. If you had these and was hunting, let’s say 1/2 mile to a mile maybe, from the house you could talk to your wife if you need help ir she did. Of course, maybe your cellphone works where you’re at. Up at camp when hunting, if someone got a deer they had to yell and yell if they needed help. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

Nice samcom juddie are you doing take it in woods hunting season this year got some like them but mine different my come from welmart you can pickup on my neighbor on cellphone we are to close but i like mine if your cell phone goes out you can still talk is them 1 mile radius

Thanks, they are nice radios and have about a mile or more range, depending solely on the terrain you are in. These are very simple to use and operate, they are a lot like what you would buy from Walmart or Dunhams. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Jr. The link to the radios is in the description. The price varies on radios due to the features they offer. These particular radios are about $80 for the pair. You can find some cheaper and some even more expensive. The one thing about these radios, if you can read the manual, you can operate these radios. Some of the other radios I have we have reviewed; you have to know how to program them either manually or using software. They require some radio knowledge for sure. Juddie want to trade Walk talks my new mine got flashlight but i don't like flashlight on mine my is Green but your Black STILL like them all good have fishing kayaking walking at trail camping hunting anything really

Sorry, I haven't done trading in about 25 years or more. I use to trade a lot back in the day, but after realizing that sometimes I got burnt, I decided I will keep what I have. If I see something I want, I will just go out and buy it. Makes my wife mad at times because she doesn't know what to get me for my birthday or Christmas because if I see something I want, I buy it myself. LOL Juddie

There is a link to Amazon for this set of radios. You get the set for about $80. Comes with ear phone/mic for each radio, a dual USB-C charging cable and a wall charger for the USB-C. What is nice about these is you can charge them in your truck, at home, or if you have a power bank/brick you can charge them on the go. Juddie

Vinnie, I have been since I was a kid. Started out in CB radio, then got my amateur radio license in 1996 and moved up the ranks to Extra class.
