Well, I am a little confused. Normally, it is the Dawn Goddess who is abducted and taken to the Otherworld. And you say here that Lugh’s wife is abducted at this time. But you claim elsewhere that Brigid is the Dawn Goddess and that she is Lugh’s daughter. It seems more likely to me that she is the daughter of Lugh than the Daughter of Dagda. Does this wife abduction business affect the theory of the Dawn Goddess’s identification as Brigid? In other stories, it is instead that Lugh’s wife is unfaithful, and that I would consider more likely, but I had not heard of the abduction.
