Actually our prophet did say music is haram, only a drum like instrument is allowed. But what scholars are arguing about is, for eg a revert comes back to islam, he loves his music, hard for him to ggive it up.. use these kinds of music to listen to and then when his iman increases he moves away from this. But then again it states in the quran, oh you who believe, follow the messenger of god...
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The interpretation of the Sahaabah and Taabi’in, that ‘idle talk’ refers to singing, is sufficient. This was reported with saheeh isnaads from Ibn ‘Abbaas and Ibn Mas’ood. Abu’l-Sahbaa’ said: I asked Ibn Mas’ood about the aayah (interpretation of the meaning), ‘“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks’ [Luqmaan 31:6].
Allaah says in Soorat Luqmaan (interpretation of the meaning): “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allaah…” [Luqmaan 31:6] The scholar of the ummah, Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: this means singing. Mujaahid (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: this means playing the drum (tabl). (Tafseer al-Tabari, 21/40).

Some people say it is haram to listen to music, but it isn't at all. Even in the time of Mohammed (saw) they made musiq ( Tala al bedru is a proof ). In the Koran is nothing in about it.
does anyone know where to download the version where you also hear womens voices in the group; I once heard it when I was a kid and can't seem to find it... maybe it was my imagination, thx in advance
this is the nasheed that they sang from our prophet's time..nobody even knew the words and by Allah's miracle everyone just started saying the lyrics with the same melody.. it dont have to be Allahs words bro
yes, you failed to understand the Hadith, because it doesn't mean that it is harram. go check the book "Music and Singing in the balance of Islam" by Dr. Abdullah Al-Jedai'(Secretary-General of the European Council of Fatwa) there is another by Dr.Yusuf Al-Qaradawi but don't know it's title
This is not haram this was sung to the prophet by little children as the holy prophet entered the streets of madinah there is nothing about adding instruments which makes it haram tell me were it says in the holy quran that violins are haram look at the message of the track why are you bothered about the instruments it is a masterpiece tell me when you make something like this ok genius
And they dont perform infront of drunk ppl... and still they are pray to Allah.. so that no problem....dont only read al-quran guys... read the hadis too... SO THEY ARE COOL!!!!
one more thing u can play music but dont forget to pray to ALLAH... get it.. what did u mean by that we can play music?? brother and sister music is sin , that what i know ... DONT EVER SAY SOMTHING THAT U DONT KNOW,,, ((ASTA'3FER ALLAH)) I LISSEN TO MUSIC BUT IN MY HEART I BELIEVE ITS NOT HALAL , BUT I PRAY TO ALLAH TO PROTECT ME FROM LESSING TO IT AGAIN....
In al-quran say it's haram to play music... but then read the hadis too... hadis is the explaination of al-quran...music haram means that... if u play music at the place that have alot of sin, like beer all that and people are drunk it's counted as haram... one more thing u can play music but dont forget to pray to ALLAH... get it...

I think using instruments if its for God, its not haram.... It's ok since its for the Lord... Anyway its between you and God so why should anyone care?
the only reason they want to take down the prophets house is beacuse, there are people that kiss his house, make dua to it and start grovelling over it!! even from a distance... its all shirk and biddah, haram. Our prophet also said for the people not to stay around his house, and tried to keep its location silent.
Think before u talk bro, without the scholars the ummah will be damned! who else will break the quran and sunnah down to us and make it easy. Also it is said that you should show respect to scholars, not just your scholar all scholars.
there was No violin at the profits age..let me tell you what is haram.. watching Video clips for these singers along with there dancing team.. music will be haram if it makes you forget to pray , if it makes you ignore your relation with god. if it includes stuff like dancing woman etc. in this video clip , this guy is playing something nice , so please people don't come and start destroying something beautiful.
AOA brothers, NO!! we are not allowed to use musical instruments, for the sake of Allah at least don't use it with this, Hadhrat Abu Maalik Ash'ari (radhiyallahu anhu) says that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) say: "Most certainly, there will be in my Ummah people who will make lawful fornication, silk, liquor and musical instruments." (Bukhaari)
intolerant?...u are the intolerant one why cant u muslims out there follow simple rules of allah which strictly prohibit the use of musical instruments...if you listen to this then why not listen to eminem n 50 cent...plz brother i am warning you be afraid of the wrath of allah may allah grant you the will power to giv up listening to these haraam traks
