I've seen some black bears around these parts in washington, and they're smaller than you'd think. few hundred pounds. and usually the lil black bears are more scared of you than you are of them unless you're bein weird or they're overconfident from hunger/cubs. Cougars though, never turn your back on a cougar.

When you live in places like Redmond, Sammamish and Issaquah, you are most likely to see wild animals since these places are a lot closer to the wilderness.

No news to me. I go to the bars every weekend and see cougars all night long.

Oh that’s just an everyday occurrence, in my neighborhood the bears have even started systematically targeting our trash bins, so we’ve started hiding them in our garages lol- thus benefiting greatly from human development. Just like how the South has alligators, Texas has rattlesnakes and Arizona is the Australia of America (venomous reptiles and plants that maim), the PNW’s got black bears.
