This man is an underrated legend. He clawed and earned his flowers, in spite of everything stacked against him, and he was immensely talented while doing it.

I agree Sammy was totally amazing. But I don't think he was underrated, he was a legend all over the world Wherever he went he was always booked out. EVERYWHERE. He was absolutely adored.❤

@@trishlangford5773 when he dated a white woman, there were hits put on his life. When he married a white woman, JFK denounced his marriage publicly. Sammy suffered immense financial lost because of his interracial marriage. He eventually got told to divorce this woman. She was told as well, because she was a famous actress. They divorced and Sammy was forced to marry a black woman. He fell into alcoholism. He lived a life that was not his own, because of peoples prejudices

Yes, Elvis did all of those things. I forgot to mention Prince, who did all of those things well, except for impressions. Sammy wasn't the greatest at that.

The original interviewer was late to the taping of this interview so they used a body double and overdubbed his voice after the interview was done. That's why you notice they only show the body double from behind and never show the interviewers face

Everybody loved Sammy. There was great mutual admiration and friendship between Elvis Presley and Sammy. The two men genuinely loved each other.
