Yes! He is amazing! Not only does he still sing great, but his last album of original music was incredible. He is still hungry to be good. That’s amazing considering how old he is and all the success he said. Red rocker rules!🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
He was coming to Sao Paulo - Brazil last year, it was going to be in march, a week before the concert he had to cancel because of Covid-19... :( I hope I can watch his concert as soon as possible.
We once got out of a speeding ticket, because we had drawn the circle with a 55 and a slash through it in the dust on our vehicle. The cop laughed and told us to have a goodnight❤🤗
I freaking love Sammy❣️. He puts everything he’s got into everything he does! He’s one person I’d love to meet, but would probably be in awe & not be able to talk 😂
Honestly, I think he would be sooomuch fun to hang with. And, he is good friends with guy fieri from food network. Guy did a show in Cabo and Sammy was there.
I was unable to watch the race but my husband recorded it. Yesterday morning as I was starting work at 6 a.m. My husband went and turned on the race. I thought it was kind of odd as he knew I had to start work but then he sat there and said you want to watch this. He took it right to the part of Sammy starting to play. This was a perfect way to start the day. I am a die-hard Red Rocker fan to the hilt and nothing like your husband helping to support it :-)
I Can't Drive 55 .... followed by Get On Your Bad Motor Scooter & Ride, ending with Planet's On Fire!! (I wish) I ♥️Sammy since the Filmore days. Still have all my cassette tapes! Got mad as a wet whenever I heard Rick Springfield's version of I've Done Everything For You on the radio!! LOL One of the Bay Area's BEST!!
Somebody had a dang good idea ... welcome back to Texas, Sammy ... this isn't just an anthem for NASCAR ... it's for all us speed demons that think 55 is, was and will always be ridiculous!! Great job ... know it was a hot one up there in Denton ... but I'm sure cold ones were standing by ... cheers!
Sammy Hagar has written some of the most radio-friendly music a radio has ever heard LOL 70 + years old so what he has to play a half step down most can't even keep up with that he is a true rocker Class Act what a fabulous career he's had it'll be a sad day in music when he leaves us I hope he keeps doing it till he's 100 years old Red Rocker forever
"2120 IS HERE!!!" Sammy doesn't just play in the present day. No, he's playing like it's the future! That's because we'll be moving to SPACE STATION #5!!
In my opinion that was one of the coolest thing I think I've ever seen! Always love Sammy Hagar and definitely always loved rock and roll and NASCAR, perfect combination perfect timing awesome awesome awesome
Trivia: Sammy recorded a version of this song titled "I Can't Drive the 55" in a 2007 NAPA commercial, referring to Michael Waltrip's car number at the time. It starred Waltrip and Dale Jarrett, asking Sammy to keep the music down during a recording session, in which he responds to Michael with "Can you drive a little faster?"
Just incredible....Rock On Sammy, nothing like going back to your youth, when this song was popular as well. WE are all becoming classics together! lol Time to bring out the guitar and play with the boys in the band!
I read that they had space constraints (if you can see well enough, they were literally in a back row) so, Mike and Jason pre-recorded their parts prior to the gig.
This is actually the ONLY reason I tuned in to this race!! Some of the old Texans in the crowd had shocked looks on their faces - I don't think they've heard rock like this before! lol Keep rockin', Sammy!! Great job!
I did the stage sound on 2 great tours in the UK with Sammy...... a loooong time ago. (Remember the Flying mock slide guitar Sammy??) Great guy great tours and just crazy fun. Best wishes from London👍🇬🇧
I watched you at Texas Motor Speedway! Perfect song too, I don't think the drivers know what slow is, you guys sounded great! Thanks for the cool surprise!
He does; They’re playing to backing tracks and i think MA vocals are in there with the bass and drums as well. Vic sounds pretty good harmonizing with the playback.
Where's Micheal Anthony ? is it really that's 2021 ? I just can't wait to see our normal lives back again on the track it used to be. Greetings from Jundiaí, Brazil
