Much to my delight, this was a very physical and high-intensity game. You had the mixture of 7s and 15s element in it. I think it's a great way to develop both the 7s and 15s game at the literally the same time, especially if you have limited funds and time and a small selection pool like Samoa does. It's particularly a good experience for Samoan players to be exposed to high-level rugby so they can hone their skills. We need more of this.
Lowkey 10s should've been the main code of union.. more running rugby = more entertainment. Not too short of players like 7s but also not too much of players like 15s.. 10s is just right In 7s, tries can be scored just like that due to the lack of numbers not to mention the very short gametime.. 15s on the other hand can tend to be like ur watching golf with the amount of stoppages thru injury, knock ons, scrum resets etc
I’d say have Rugby 12s with either 30 minute halves or 15 minute quarters. Hard to have these smaller varieties like 7s and 10s with games that are longer than 14-20 minutes total. 12s could be the sweet spot between 10s and 15s honestly as much as 10s is for 7s and 15s already
