Hi Tolo, great to see you still working to improve the quality of taro in Samoa, still remember those old days at Avele and USP Alafua around 1980- 1987 at Alafua. Awesome contributions to the Samoa Taro production’ keep up the great work mate’ May be one day we can catch up in Samoa or Australia God bless you bro, regards Masina Leaana from Aussie 😀🙏
Thank you for the job well done even though it's taking a while but at least our country is now able to get back to our feet in planting a variety of tarps. Thank you ma ia manuia
The one place where the real Samoan taro was not affected by the Blight disease was Aunuu, the island off the coast of Tutuila. If they go there they can get the original taro...which strangely enough is called Taro Niue...so maybe they should also go back to Niue to find the real Samoan taro.
Good to see my Mentor Tolo Iosepha. Keep the good work for Samoa. I hope to utilize and do the same in the Cook Islands if time permitted. Kia manuia rawa.
I have to get some of those breeds from Samoa. I plant Tausala here in Fiji but I never knew its full name was tausala ni samoa. Great work guys. Some real nice specimens there.
That taro from Samoa (the pink one) became available in Fiji 1990/1991 when I was at USP. Before, you had your white taro which us Samoan students did not like but was available for us at the USP dining room. Then the pink Samoan taro was available after you had planted it, and then the taro plight happened in Samoa which wiped out most of the pink taro that was our main export earner. Fiji is now lucky with the tausala and it's now exported to New Zealand and other countries where the islanders live.
your program does not stop taro plight brother, you ask for help ...Niue sent you different varieties of taro shoots that survives the plight and pink taro is called Taro Niue, well known across the pacific. You forgot to mentioned that your bros in Niue helped Samoa Taro growers.

Turn Back to the old ways of Samoa? The ways of Muamua leatua. God first in Samoa was the ways. With this God has blessed Samoa and flourished the land. But just like the Israelite, the Samoan people turned away. Used to be on Sunday in Samoa, nobody worked or did anything but go to church. God rested so did they. But now they party and all kinds of other crap. Turn back to the Lord Samoa? And he will heal the land and people
DEEPOFF.... if you are sure God the father will bless you brother Samoa, and not do as Israel by back sliding by idol worship and fornication if they want the Eternal's blessing keep the commandment's, all of them in including the sabbath, be like ancient king David when he ruled over israel , dont go after other gods and worship another jesus on sunday the first day of the week, but rather seek the one true God ,do his will.....then you will be a light to the people's of the pacific.
