I'm Samoan with a Mexican back ground. I grew up in Cali in the heart of the Barrio and I'm telling you every morning I wait for Tio Carlos to come down the block pushing a pot full of tamales. My kids are half Samoan and half Mexicano.
I think in Cali, people of many ethnicities mix with Mexicans. I even worked with a Samoan chick who got with one of ours. Short Mexicans dudes can pull sometimes! lol
@@PhantomNites Mexicans love Coca-Cola. Horchata and other agua frescas are typically reserved for special occasions. It's easier and cheaper to drink coke
@@crescentcrab Yes, my Mexican friends also love Coca-Cola, but in reality everybody loves Coca-Cola. I like Jarritos Mexican drinks when eating Authentic Mexican food✌🏻
Mexican food is my favorite food, of all cultures and ethnicity. Just something about it, is irreplaceable. The Birria tacos look so good… same with the guacamole and salsa.
As someone who lives in Hawaii, with access to all kinds of foods, Mexican food is a world food. The flavors and love in it is real. So glad you got a chance to experience it in Aotearoa. We are lucky to have just a taste of the magic over here. Too bad it doesn't look like there's a lot of real Hawaiian food over there. Could be a fun vid.
Growing up in San Fran my best friend was Samoan. I was tall for a Mexican and people thought we were related, but weren't sure if he was a big ass Mexican or I was a small ass Samoan. And yeah he loved my mom's cooking.
I guess it depends on the State. California and Texas have the highest number of Mexicans so they also have the best and most authentic Mexican food. Everywhere else they're limited to Taco Bell or similar fake Mexican food restaurants lol
We eat it in Texas all the time, food trucks are often very good. I dated a Latino woman and used to love her cooking but eating at her mom’s place was my favorite and she just loved that I liked her food so much.😂 Great people!
Not just America but the entire world. The potato saved europe from starvation and what would Italian food be without the tomato from the Atecs. That's just to name afew.
Respect to the Mexican brother💯 ive eaten your food twice, it's far from taco bell, Tacobell got nothing on you💯 Like you said ese support Mexicans making Mexican food, doesn't get anymore authentic than that💯💯💯 I respect that💯
I just love how food can bring all backgrounds together and put a smile on all faces. This is part of the reason why I’ve worked in this industry for so long. Food brings joy no matter what color you are or what you believe. Good food is good food
We're so lucky where we live in St. Louis that we have a fairly large Mexican community. There's a Mexican grocer near us who does freshly cooked meats and sides on the weekends, plus there's quite a few restaurants near us where they're making authentic Mexican, not Tex-Mex or anything like that. So fresh and delicious, it's amazing food.
these 2 can possibly be one of the greatest duos worldwide if they really wanted. i’m talking Chunkz n Filly type big if they stick to making videos and making people laugh
First time watcher. Got a 👍🏼 from me. I looooved the explanation for every dish. Mexican authentic dishes trend all the time and I never understood it either. This is what we grew up eating.
As a Latino from Southern California who has made a lot of friends of Pacific Islander descent (Samoan, Tongan, Guamanian, Hawaiian, and Filipino) in my lifetime. I have an appreciation for a lot of Pacific Rim and Asian cuisine. One Samoan pastry that I enjoy so much that I had to learn to make it myself. It was through trial and error, but I finally did find success properly making it. I think if you made it or got some and shared this pastry with your three buddies there. They would flip out with pure pleasure. The pastry I'm talking about is Pani-Popo, and the only way I can accurately describe it. Is to say that it's a coconut flavored Samoan Krispy Kreme and it is so good it's addicting. If you are trying to stay away and eat healthy but have a sweet tooth and a weakness for cookies, cakes, and other desserts and you taste this. You're in serious trouble because this pastry is like crack and if there is some anywhere in my vicinity then call me a f#cking base head because I'm going to be seriously grubbing and making that Pani-Popo disappear quicker than a magician.
Taco Bell is not Mexican food! It's trash tacos that simple. You want real Mexican food you need to find the truck with the uncle or abuela working it that's where it's at!
Mexican food is the most fire in the world. But Texas Mexican food is killing anything in Mexico or anywhere else....whether it's Tex Mex or just Mexican food in Texas, it's the best hands down....if you ever hear somebody arguing, they always think we're talking about Tex Mex. We got authentic Mexican food on every corner, wayyyy more than we have Tex Mex spots...I can't even think of a Tex Mex restaurant to be honest, but both are fire....and I'm someone who goes to Mexico a few times a year. Anybody that says different is somebody who doesn't know or is a hater...straight up.
I’m happy to see our food being shared with other cultures and your message to continue educating others but since I’m not from your area, I hope I misunderstood because our border town Mexicali BC does have the best foods that I have found in Southern Cali
I am salivating... Also, you guys should try some traditional Greek food. Actually, just work your way around the world, there's just so many delicious cuisines on every continent (maybe not Antarctica, but you get my point). Auckland is a great melting pot of cultures as well, so you can find a local from almost every corner of the world! Food brings people together so makes great positive content :D
That is some of the finest eating you can treat your self to. Bar none. And it looks like you sure know what you are doing, the pork belly cooked to perfection as well as the biria and got to have the gwak. killed it. I am salivatin like a rabid dog. Props fellas.
Mexico food is one of the best food uso birria is originally made in with goat and cooked underneath the ground like the umu but you can use beef birria is base on meat cooking its juices all ways use onions and cilantro its very good the pork belly the best to Magaia le mea ai uso great contents keep them coming mexican uso is on point I bet is mom and grandma cook the best tho authentic the best
That's a lot of steps Uce. spicy is good for the metabolism, the barria is good for nutrient uptake, and the fresh greens good for fiber. Run faster and jump higher!
I love mexican food. I literally have it every night from my mother in law. Husband is from Guadalajara, Mexico. Im Samoan from Kalihi hawaii. You know my kid's are half mexican they want limon on everything lol.
New Zealand sets a great example of Diversity without Dividing. in america everything is about race color and etc. You have asians, Hispanics, Africans all enjoying eachother cultures
I don’t know the exact year and mistake me if I’m wrong. When Spain came over and conquered California which was still apart of Mexico at the time. Spain has a term for their cowboys which is Vaqueros now I believe those vaqueros stayed in California and eventually sailed to the islands which is now named Hawaii. When they came to shore they realized that the islands had their own indigenous people. The islanders at the time didn’t know how to cattle so the vaqueros stayed and taught them. They both eventually learned each other’s culture and traditions which is why some of the food is similar. Which is also why islanders and Mexicans look alike or have some of the same features.
Actually yes you are correct to a degree but it was Mexican Vaqueros from Texas and California that brought the Cattle to Hawaii, the Hawaiians were taught the cattleman skills and one things they could not pronounce the Españoles so they adapted the “ Paniolo” name , they are very good cattlemen and very skilled with horses . I’m Texan of Mexican decent and every time I’m in Hawaii I treated so well by the Brudahs
