Samoens is the only French ski resort that has the Monument Historique designation and is easily accessed from Geneva airport in just 1 hour and 8 minutes on this trip, making this village hugely popular with International travellers for weekend visits as well as extended periods.
With no slopes arriving into the village, access to the ski area is via the efficient Grand Massif Express 8 person Cable car built in 2003 that goes to 1600m. From here head to Tete des Saix at 2118m via the Charliande Express chairlift, providing access into the ski domain.
With pedestrianised streets, the resort is as popular in the summer and can almost be called an all year round destination.
