I’ve watched a huge amount of alpine/high mountain adventure content and feel compelled to congratulate you on the footage, narration, soundtrack. Most of all the artfully well crafted personal insight. No need to wish you an enjoyable life, you’ve captured the essence and eloquently shared for us all.
It's funny you had that revelation about this being your last solo in this route. I also soloed it this last spring and I also thought I had crossed the limits of the risks I'm willing to take. In my case, what hit me in the face was the untracked descend skiing via the seracs. How cool that descend flying is ! Good video by the way! It's pleasant to watch with a nice narrative and beautiful footage. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing your experience. Yeah I was very impressed and at the same time very fan of that route. But sometimes it’s also nice to realise why you do stuff like this and that you can look for those feelings elsewhere without risking to never come back
I ignored many of my body’s warnings. Overstimulation of my wrist with subsequent SL rupture and osteoarthritis in the big toe joint at the age of 32 raised the same questions for me. Before, I was constantly switching between the next ski, mountain and climbing tour. So I decided to slow down and enjoy what I had experienced more than constantly looking for something new and prefer to prepare specifically for projects. And start a family. This will slow me down a bit from now on, but I'm looking forward to it 😊 Your contribution really supports me a lot in this process! Thanks!
After we have walked so close to the line and many times, it is easier to realize the same beauty and satisfaction can be found without being so close to the edge. Great job! One thing I will say, getting truly breathtaking footage is so much easier when you feel safe. . . My best videos are not the ones when I have fear.
Goosebumps when you took off from top. Stunning piece of film. It has made me reflect on my own death defiance solo adventures. I would adventure with you any time brother. Be safe 🫶🏼
Fantastic video!! The climbing was great but your words really resonate regarding risk. I love pushing myself in the mountains especially soloing but find myself having the same internal dialogue that you portray in this video. Thanks
Great video, thanks for sharing. I also like that you came to a sensible conclusion that you can enjoy the mountains without the unnecessary risk by soloing risky rockfaces and find fulfillment in life in other ways. Too many did die in their constant pursuit of ultimate challenges.
Thank you for this video. It is amazing to be able to share, in a small way, the climb and the flying. I definitely can understand your realization. We all get to a last solo, hopefully alive after it. Loved the surprise at the end. I was thinking, how is he going to get down with it getting dark. The parapent was a nice touch. Thanks for a great video. Was very quiet for Chamonix, october?
J'espère bien que c'est le dernier ! T'es un malade j'avais le vertige rien qu'en regardant la vidéo ! Tu n'aurais jamais du quitter le monde du reggae c'etait moins dangereux 😘
