What separates your videos from other tutorials is you share your process flow and provides context comments. So when you do and say a piece, often I say hey I do the same thing or I say hmm never tried it that way etc. So it's a lot of validation for me which I need as I am self taught etc. Most excellent teacher here.
Just joined the community, looking forward to the workflow videos in the near future. It's been a struggle with motivation to make beats on my One after a day of work. Just so much to learn its overwhelming, the videos help a lot - it's a nice change from reading the MPC Bible and seeing things in action. Thanks!
Hey Justin, man I highly appreciate your support it really means a lot and I got a lot of new material coming up very soon for you guys so be looking forward. Since the community is still fairly small it allows me to get a little more direct with you guys and focus more on anything I can help with your workflow. I’ll be touching more on this within the community tab very soon so be on the lookout. Blessings to you brother and thank you.
I felt the same many different times I’ve picked up making beats. Don’t grind yourself too hard brother, remember you’re creating something that didn’t exist 30 seconds before you start, so if it isnt good fine you’ll get better, but if it slaps aye theres a banger! Keep motivated, but keep creating for the love of the genre
Yo.. can I relate to this... Confusing getting started exactly after working 40hrs. I have been doing my homework with these walks through. Much respect for these videos. I see this was posted 11mnths ago. Hope your making so fly beats bye now. 🎶⚓
Hi, since this video is now 5 months old, I'm not sure if you have worked this out by now or someone else has suggested it but, your program mix output can be routed to a submix where you can apply further effects and still retain the effects chain you have applied on your prog mix. Essentially, each pad in a program can have four effects applied, then further effects can be added on the program mix, which can then be outputted to a submix channel where a further four effects can be applied. Great vid btw. 👍
Hey brother thank you so much for this input, at the time I was not aware of this till after which I’m so glad I found out as that really gives me much more flexibility. I’m still playing with some of those settings. Thank you so much brother
@@malobeats No problem at all, my man. I've had mine around a year now and absolutely love it; even more so since the 2.10 update. Really enjoying your vids, bro; great content.🙏
this has to be my favorite mpc video i’ve watched yet -- i love it when i just get to step in your world and soak in everything you’re doing and this was perfect for that, while you even went into detail with why you made some decisions . i learned a lot from this and will be referring to it in the future. thanks man, awesome video
Watching your videos and created my own workflow with my mpc live 2.keep them beats coming. 👍🏻My inspirations always are Havoc, RZA, Stoupe and Kanye. 🙏🏻
I appreciate you dropping by I’m glad you were able to pick up a thing or two from the video. Blessings to you. We definitely need more Girl producers out 🙏🏽🙏🏽🦾
Ahhh, man. Thank you so much for your support and most of all I’m glad that part resonated with you. Again, thank you so much for the love and support. Nothing but love and blessings to you. ❤️🫡
best MPC tutorials i've found on YT these are amazing thank you. It helps that your beats also bangerang. : ) I got an MPC recently and you've really helped flatten the learning curve for me thanks a lot.
Woooow man. I do believe you just saved me a lot of time fam. I'm an MPC Live user. This is my second visit here. Checking in while I do some design work. You are cold with it man. Also, thanks for breaking this down so flawlessly. I know its a year late but I'm locked in.
Thank you so much for taking your time and leaving this feedback I really do want to make a video focusing on that affects chain very soon. Thank you so much for the request
Yo dude just wanted to say you quickly became one of my favorite producers to watch on RU-vid, along with accurate , and Brenky keep it up bro your an inspiration and a great teacher.
I’m so glad that it translates to your workflow on the X I’m actually on the verge of picking up the Live 2 Since I live in a two car garage with my wife and daughter and there’s so many times I just wanna go outside and put some headphones on and make music unplugged lol
Listening to and watching your videos has been the most inspiring me! its gotten me to make music so much more, Your majorly a big inspiration dude & so informative N humble! Major respect!!!
Hey Connor, you have no idea how much this means to me. I’m glad that these videos are able to spark some inspiration for your artistic side. Blessings to you brother 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I'm a new convert to the MPC one, had a chance to grab a One + brand new with a 200$ promo, so it was a no-brainer. Coming from the 2500 with JJOS I feel at home but also kind of lost at the same time, dad learns technology type of vibe I guess lmao I'm really enjoying your videos. Personally there are a couple people who inspire me to make music, especially recently, Muggs, Evidence, Conductor, Alchemist, Camoflauge, my local icon Nicholas Craven... I mean, you probably get the idea lol
Oh man I’m extremely humbled by that and thank you for dropping by and sharing some of those artist I will be checking some of those out later this week. Blessings to you brother
@@malobeats no doubt you are a good teacher explain things clearly and easy to pick up I'm gonna use some of these techniques tonight on the pads. Your sample selection and your ear for samples is impeccable
Excellent video. I love videos that are clear and concise and go into the inner workings with the effects etc so please keep on that road. I've just started going through your videos with a pen and pad taking notes to keep for future too which I would recommend to anyone else!
Thank you so much for taking your time and sharing this with me as I’m still trying to learn how I want to deliver these videos I know I’ve been doing long format Contin lately but want to mix it up a bit and also put out some short format videos so they’re not as long but I’m glad that you’re sharing your input as it really helps me out a lot. Thank you
@@malobeats, could you give the name of the track you have sampled please ? I'm sure I've heard it on Tracklib, but I don't remember the title. Thanks a lot !
Side question: i think it´s a skin on a black mpc one if i´m not mistaken. Could you (or users here) leave a link where to buy? Thanks man, great vids and tuts👍👍👍
14:00 dude, I got lost here. You laid down an intro on track 1 which looks like on top of your existing chop loop? Can you explain how this works as I would have though that this would be wrong in some way? This video is truly inspiring. I've had my Live 2 for a few months now and looking to watch all your videos. Thanks for all these 'secret' ways of working.
Love your channel man! Learning so much. I have a random and maybe dumb question for you- I have a vintage technics SL1900 that I use to play my records. I’m wondering if I can use this to sample to my Mpc one? Or do I need to get a newer turntable with a pre amp in it? I guess what I’m really wondering is. Is there a way to run a cable from my amp that I use with my turntable to the Mpc one? Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for your time!
Super dope beat and great workflow. The idea with the "rc20" signal chain is nice, i have to try that out too. Inspirations: MF Doom, Kool Keith, Dr. Dre, Dj Quik, Daz Dillinger, J Dilla, J Filt, J.Lamotta, Torky Tork, Morlockko Plus, Suff Daddy, Pierre Sonality and many more
Definitely, I’m still tweaking up that setting but I’ll be doing a video on that very soon to go over with more detail. Thank you for taking the time brother
Hey Pablo, yes engage some of these vintage settings on some beats that you have already made. Some of these vintage mode settings can add some flavor and punch to the tracks
Great video but I see you’re using the zoom H6 can you create a video on how you record your video with it the sound on your videos always sound crisp.
Hey brotha, i’m glad you asked that question because I want to make this video but I wasn’t sure if anybody would be interested in knowing how I get the audio for these videos lol but yes the zoom H6 has been one of the best investments I’ve made so far to get some great audio for these videos. I’m definitely going to do this video. I appreciate you taking the time in asking
Liking that lo-fi effects chain! 👌 I wish the 'flavor' sections of the Mellotron/Solina plugins could be available as a separate effect in standalone. They are missing a trick there! Make it happen Akai/Air 🙏
Hey brother, thank you so much I appreciate you taking time out of your day to watch the video and I’m glad it was helpful in someway. Blessings to you brother
kind of sounds like that Otis redding sample from the watch the throne album. your content is dope man. Im thinking about grabbing this MPC and I'm glad i found this channel
Hey brother!!! These have been the most useful and inspirational turtorials I have have ever seen!!! Your workflow suggestions are hands down the best. Thank you so much!!! Ghostface Killah. Wu Tang. 👌👊✊
Hey Brian, you have no idea how much this means to me I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to share your feedback. Blessings to you brother
Is that a new stand I detect under your MPC? ;) Nice video! I enjoyed seeing your process. To answer your question, the posthumous Camu Tao album El-P put together - King of Hearts
I was/am on a low phase regarding beatmaking. Got back to J. Cole's latest album after watching a video of him live. "100 mil" brought back that feeling for a bit!
And the beat is coming out fire! I'm still watching and I'll have to watch the rest later, but I'm very curious to see how you add drums to it. I usually try to get more clean samples because of the drums.
I feel you brother I know there’s times where am feeling out of sync with my creative side but I’ll listen to an artist or two in a Sparks inspiration and that is all I need to get back in it and start making music. I appreciate you brother thank you for the support it really means a lot
AraabMuzik…the MVP of the MPC. I was inspired to create solely on MPC but with synths being sequenced by the MPC from my iPad. He proved to me that it’s all about the man behind the machine. People buy tons of gear and spend so much time on their computer and yet this talented MPC producer kills it! Literally just kills it! I promised myself to only sequence everything on the MPC One from now on and never touch a computer again.
Love your vids! Quick question. . How are you able to hear your samples when you are browsing thru them without pressing play on touch screen? Just got my MPC & to hear each sample I have to press play button on screen
Hey Josh, yes great question so when you are browsing for samples there is an option in your lower right hand side where it allows you to audition your audio samples in real time or to keep that setting turned off so make sure you look at it on your bottom right hand side.
Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your feedback it really means a lot and I’m glad you’ve been able to get a thing or two from some of these videos.
@@malobeats I learned at least 4 on technical side alone : sampling to an existing program, vintage mode, loading multiple effects as a preset, emulating RC20. Not to mention all we can learn from your creative workflow.
Hey, Man I wish we could have the RC 20 plug-in and standalone mode but at the moment that is not possible yet in this video I am just re-creating a signal chain effect that gives me a similar sound to the RC 20
Thank you so much for taking the time and watching the video, I’m actually using the zoom H recorder which has been amazing for my videos as of lately. The link to the exact recorder that I’m using is in my bio
Hey brother, thank you so much for dropping his reference as I just checked it out and it sounds awesome. Thank you again for the reference. Much love and blessings to you
Hey Jason thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your input it really means a lot. And I agree I’m actually still working on that track as we speak since I really liked how it came out.
