I honestly don’t like Tupac , immortal tech us more complex and political , and can still hold his own in rhymes , and MF DOOM can rhymes circles around the Tupac for days with more metaphors and wordplay than he could ever wish to write ..
Hey guys. I've had to put watermarks on my videos as someone on twitter informed me my videos have been getting bootlegged (Thanks to those guys for letting me know). Have a great day and fuck bootleggers!
Samples are sound bites used from a separate pre recorded sound, interpolations are sound bites played from or inspired by other sounds Quoting is just quoting!
You say the dumbest shit fam... MC Hammer - pray sampled doves cry and it was cleared... Arrested Development - Tennessee's was a prince sample that he cleared.. ( alphabet soup) Would you die for me by biggie kin and life samples kiss by prince... Cleared... Black is black by jungle brothers sampled Controversy... Excuse me mix samples Prince.. There are more.
@@DjIceCnS That song didn't belong to prince the label cleared that Morris day ...they di go through prince to clear that and I cleared Morris day and vanity samples...
Sampling music to me makes your music much more timeless. I never tripped how many samples were used to make just one song. Plus todays age most people rarely sample. Its a shame
Awesome vid! Not only am I finding out what made Pac's songs sound the way they are (which is amazing), but I'm also exposing myself to some classics and oldies I never knew about! You got yourself a new sub!
Everyone writing how 2pac made these beats and loved those songs, while those beats were produced mostly by Johnny J. DJ's make the beats for the Rappers, guys. And they deserve way more credit
Ive listened to about 2 mins of this vid and i have had to pause and write this message. Unreal video mate. Really well put together. 2pac will always be the best ever. Thanks again champ.
What you don't realize is that 2pac didn't sample any of these songs. It was the great producers he had in his circle. They would bring these dope beats to him, and 2pac would murder them MF beats!! 🔥🔥 There will never be a time like this again!!. Rappers now a days are too dumb 💯
I can’t stand when they say the rapper sampled the music…they do pick old songs sometimes to ask a producer to flip but they rarely make their own beats…like you said they killem
I love how Island Ryland phrased it Manipulate Samples. I couldn't think of a word. I love Tupacs manipulated samples. That's what made Pacs stuff soo much better. Love how this video breaks it all down.
I knew of about half of these original songs but the rest was quite informative and entertaining! I think that sampling, if done properly and with respect to the source material, is complimentary to everyone involved. Old School & Mid School music was true art 🎨. We miss 2Pac and everyone else in his songs and in the original music in this awesome video! ❤️🌹
Definitely!! Facts!! You have to be a visionary to be able to see all these samples and vision a whole different production to make out of it.. it’s definitely an art
Knowing that they used multiple samples and bought them together to create some fucking timless top tier productions. The ones that saw the vision with those samples are the goat
Kyungbin Min Word is Pac had Hit Em Up in the lab first...Faith was fucking around with Pac..went back and told BIG about Hit Em Up and BIG banged out Get Money really quickly. That's according to Suge but the nigga could be lying.
Great breakdown... one question, can an artist get in trouble for sampling tunes the way 2pac did? He often manipulated the sample in some way so it is different than the original. But is it 'okay' to do????
Mfkrs PAY PAY PAY fa dat sht'... the big time record company drops the doe' to get the sample or samples released'. ... There were different laws regarding sampling prior to January 1st 1994 when the law was changed in favor of the original artists. That's why groups like Public Enemy have records with like 10 different samples in one song. But after that date things changed drastically which led to less just sampling what you want and more interpolations and using 1 or 2 samples per song. Shit got expensive to do lol
No Diggity didn't become Toss It Up. Story behind that beat is twisted, but simply put, Pac recorded Toss It Up first with Dr Dre knowledge, but Dre one who made the beat never finalized it with 2pac. and when Dre left Death Row he produced No Diggity instead. Pac still released the song because of Dre and Death Row beef and he did it as sheer disrespect because he was upset at Dre over few other known issues
He had imput but wasn't the one producing it. Quik did the majority of this album just like daz dillinger produced a lot if all eyez on me but didn't get mentioned for some reason
