this shit is bananas, stg each element doesnt make any sense and the synths feel off beat, but when it all gets put together its just pure bounce, tension, and release.

Awesome stuff! I'd love a tutorial on how you actually build those kind of sparse rhythms. It's cool that you isolate each element and say something about it, but I feel like I'm not getting to the bottom of your composition process since most elements work the way they do in the bigger context, so hearing them individually doesn't necessarily mean it makes more sense.

This may sound like a really dumb question, but what is a resampled one shot? And what does that look like in Ableton? Do I add any sample to a sampler/simpler? The issue I run into that is that the sample runs faster when I play a higher note and it runs slower when I play a lower note. That might be right, but I want to double check that.
