If the input square wave form is smaller than the signal voltage then the output is digitally good accurate and vice-versa of inputs than the output is not much hold continuesly discrete signal
Using a load without an opamp, the capacitor would not hold the sampled voltage as it would discharge. The opamp will supply your load, while the capacitor holds the sampled voltage (due to the high input impedance of the opamp)
