TC, very nice images from the X100. The IQ is film-like & the lens is far more capable than what others complained about it being soft. I just picked up one recently & am enjoying the 📸 experience. ✌🏼& 📸
Thank you. I have owned the original and the images from it are truly unique as it’s the only X100 that uses the Bayer sensor. It’s no AF speed demon & the OK button is pretty small… but it can produce great images.
I’m also planning on getting the original X100 in 2021! I’m just a little scared about all the hate the autofocus receives online, what are your opinions ? Is it even usable ? I think it’s a compromise between having a slow autofocus but having very good image quality
The X100 is a classic. I’ve owned one and would not own one again…but for a more random reason. The OK button. It’s tiny. My fingers are big. It wasn’t fun. Also, it just doesn’t expose as all as more current models.. now the X100T, that’s still an amazing camera. It’s my favorite behind the V.
@@Gabriel-ey5hz the AF is slow. The write times are slow. It has that cool factor to it but I just can’t get over the ergonomics and ‘speed’. If it helps, I am a very slow shooter. I am definitely not one who is using CAF or shooting quickly back to back. I just can’t get back to it when I know carrying it would keep my V (or T) at home. If you have ‘gravy’ $ and the space to carry both it could be worth it. When I think about the X100 line I think about grab and go.
@@TCinSoCal well that’s sucks 😢 I was about to get mine like next week because someone locally was offering it to me very cheap and right now I can’t afford to buy anything more expensive… guess I will try my luck with the original
@@Gabriel-ey5hz I would never say don’t buy it. It’s a great camera & if it gets you out shooting that’s all that matters. I just wanted to be honest about what I see as it’s limitations. If you found one in good shape for a good deal then give it a shot!
