Hi Ryan, this was another great video. I liked the comparison you made about recording audio at a higher sample rate so you can slow it down without weird artifacts or loss of sound quality to recording video at a higher frame rate to have a quality slow motion video. That really made a lot of sense to me. I have a question/video request for you. I would like to know about the tools and techniques available for changing someone's voice or sound recording in general. As far as I know, you can only change the pitch and that usually means changing the speed of a recording. In DaVinci Resolve I am able to do a pitch correction and change the speed of a recording without changing the pitch... how is that done? Also, is it possible to change a recording of my voice and make it sound like someone else's? (e.g. Ronald Reagan) I don't even know what all is possible to do or not do.
Glad it was helpful, and cool idea! I’ll add it to my list! I’m thinking of doing a “Nerd Talk” series or something similar haha, where I go through some of the detail on that stuff. As far as actually changing your voice to sound like someone else’s, that’s mostly machine learning stuff, analysing all of someone’s speeches and that kind of thing. Not really something you can do very convincingly with just standard audio plugins
