Context is EVERYTHING. Cause my OGs started HIPHOP i’s a lil snot nose like Mr Trotter say. They sampled our parents grooves,what they was grooving to house parties etc..following in those footsteps as a consumer to producer…is like have a mental sampling catalogue. Our parents could nevah(😈)conceive HIPHOP,that was for us to do ‼️😉🙃 I’m 54 btw.

Yeah boy sounds good bro......I like to flip some of the blaxploitation movie soundtracks they have some of the coolest sounds.....you should try some 70s adult film soundtracks. Keep up the good work Kirk......peace

My first gear was my dad’s [jacked ]portable 8track player..then his Walkman,[music exploration every radio station I could reach] then I started making tapestop mixes to dual cassette jawns…off the radio [LadyB StreetBeats etc]I’m into my vinyl sampling into MPC now since the Live 1…these new gen MPCs are cheat codes FLAWS and all.. Edit 8/25/24 MPC3 [public beta] free firmware update🙃

I tried sampling the chase scene from the same movie when Truck and his sidekick were chasing Gator in the cars about ten years ago but, I just couldn't get it right. Also, I was just learning how to really sample at that time. I was used to just playing everything by ear. I would love to see what you could do with that dope score in those scenes.
