Yes to me the NPK racing has become another class of the drag racing format. I'd like to see the 405, other areas and the NPK people do the drag drive events in the cars they use now. Now that would be interesting.
The racers commitment to the shows kind of prevented that in the past. But with the unfortunate death of one of the racers last year while filming, and Discovery's indefinite hold on any street racing shows until after the lawsuits are settled, they might finally have the time to go on one. Maybe they'll convince Discovery to follow one or two of the DnD events as they guys do that instead of street race. Who knows?
Yes, they should do drag n drive events and film the racing and driving. maybe have an side event where those on the show line up against each other for real racing, not time event like a normal D&D. each race stop is points by rounds and the best after all the stops wins. it would be more rounds of racing then then what most D&D do unless they are chasing a specific number. something HotRod Dragweek or Sickweek event would give enough stops (racing) and plenty of driving

Because normal punters are bored with were they've gone. I'd rather see a drag and drive event than that NPK crap now. These people are true street racers.
@williammurfin6354 I agree I was referring to their npk cars I remember years ago murder nova used to go pick his kid up from school in the OG to me the old school show was better Lutz won drag week in mad max but the cars at npk probably only have enough gas in them for 1-2 hits at a time pretty much door cars in nhra and truly they're all pro mods they ain't street cars
I remember when a friend whos family had money got a white aero roof 1987 monte carlo. He wanted to hop it up but had zero ability, i talked him out of it the whole time, growing up with homebult 12 sec Oldsmobiles at the time. Later this guy became a mechanic and iw the lead at LaFontaine Toyota here in Dearborn Michigan. He now has 3 three box snap on boxes in a row with 3 bays of his own in his own part of the shop. So proud of that Chinese feller. He was born here in the US and is a patriot thru and thru. The money came from a mother who owned a Chinese food restaurant, among other things. Thats where his money came from. Jack, if you are out there reading this, I'm proud of you!!!
Especially that one aero coupe was a rare car! I’m not exactly sure but I think GM only made like 1501 of em. My dad had one in Florida but someone wanted it more then he did and took it out of his driveway! Now he has a all white SS w/red interior w/2” front drop spindles. Flow masters and the rest is stock! Really cool car
I had the same exact car, Dave. But in blue, my car had a 42730 over big Crane. Cam, teenage t and t and the good heads. Full Cage transbreak big Turbo 400 fluid dampener SFI flex plate for 9 inch. 5 core radiator. Full interia The weight was 3000 pounds with me in it. It ran 9 70 156 in the quarter mile. Through 4 inch exhaust flow masters, it add headlights, tail lights blinkers. It was tagged and I would drive it around everywhere. It also had an 1150 dominator onic. What's² 89 jets fun car? I have it for 10 years and I'm sold it. It also had roller rockers 456 gear. Bring back memories looking at your car very cool

JoJo and I, are taking a break for our new prototype CF body delivery to Ontario from Bartlesville, and they start testing in Florida by Monday the 6th... lol, they are wound so tight that they couldn't stop here in N.E. Oklahoma on their way... so just the delivery is 5 figures. ( His CC already dropped that on some video on YT... and where they are headed... go figure... secret, lol. He's extended family... lol ) But forgot to mention 2 cars we tested already covered in pink paint... cut .32 off the index using my tired 526...lol. Fun video. Really enjoyed seeing the 2 door Falcon wagon,, that's one RARE body,, I'm 76 and from that first gen Falcon era,, never have I seen one like it. Kinda like a Chev sedan delivery from the mid 50's.

Stage 8 fasteners have been a huge supporter of this kind of racing since way back! My friend Mike Moran was the first to get a decent sponsorship from them and always supported their product too. Im talking almost 30 years ago Stage 8 has been in this kind of program. Im hoping they send me some products for my comment! Lol, im tryin' they are a great company to deal with
1400hp G body shuffle on display lol. mine does that at least on old ass rotted tires with whatever my 350 has (does not spin at all right now with the General G-max AS-05's I have on it) lol Im sure it's mildly built. I got it from a guy who was LS swapping his 68 Malibu. Still running my 200 4r though Might be slipping a little and I need a bigger stall, I think at least what was on it when it was mated to the TH350 which was a 2500 Stall. I'm till working on it but it'll be on the road soonish :) (also and Okie but in Tulsa)
