She was an amazing Terminator. She’s one of the biggest reasons I miss the show. I wish the show had less filler so it wouldn’t have been canceled. The show had great bones, but it wasn’t nearly as well done as it could’ve been.
I'm starting to watch these series. I love Shirley Manson so much so I was thinking about not watching this for in case it was a disaster... And to my surprise, I'm enjoying it sooooooo much, way better than these past movies. Stupid FOX and shitty, opinionated executives always end up keeping tv being a trash.
The bit with the music that Bear gave to the Terminators in this show has always been my favorite part (Seeing that I LOVE that Terminator theme from Bear)
The drag of the middle of the 2nd season killed SCC. Loved the series, it even won the save the series contest that Faux was running and they ended it anyways.
It's pretty much a song about John (Samson) and Cameron (Delilah), dealing with the fact that Cameron could be deceptive and John is capable of incredible feats if pushed. John is captivated by Cameron and easily forgets about what she truly is, making it easy for her to manipulate him if needed. He lets his guard down near her all the time, just like Samson did by telling Delilah where his strength lies and how to take it all away. The "If I had my way, I'd burn this whole building down" could be a reference to the fact that Cameron was initially created with the sole purpose of killing John, and the "desire" to do so is still in there somewhere, lying dormant in her mind. Under different circumstances, burning down the Connor house would have been an ideal outcome for Cameron and her primary mission. The scene this song was used in also shows John's hidden strength: he uses his raw power to take down and kill a mobster with his bare hands, just like Samson who kills the lion in the song. All in all, a wonderful piece from a wonderful TV show.
I know Terminators have the power of travelling through time, but TV producers don't... ;) This was simply a cover of a pre-existing song, dating back to 1976. It's the same lyrics, so far as I know. It's probably the most hard-edged version, but, yeah, the lyrics had nothing to do with the television show.
Xenomorphine you must be fun at parties ;) it’s a parable the producers felt meshed well with their story. Bear McCreary did something similar with All Along the Watchtower for Battlestar Galactica
If you watch the the tv series how John Connor treats Cameron he is truly in love her and with the very thing that could kill him the love he has for her is palpable and strong to the point of unhealthiness he could never go through killing her even though it might have been the safest and best thing to do and if you watch carefully how John’s uncle reacts to the inactions between John and Cameron John’s uncle sees the that love and it terrifies him especially when Cameron does her dance in another episode.
The only way to own this song was to get a super rare Lala-Land Records issue. Some came with the autograph of the composer. It's weird the song isn't released anywhere, since it seems like it might be public domain.

So glad the Terminator movies after SCC got worse and worse. The show's story is so great, it needs to become canon and the basis for the Terminator Saga.
