Looking at your reviews, I got the 43 “ for my sons room. Really liked the tv. But the remote user in not that straight forward. And it’s kind of laggy. Overall I would buy it again. Thank you.
It’s a great tv. I messed with the settings to get more color and contrast while adding just a little extra sharpness. The result is a great picture when gaming. I do however use eco mode because it controls the brightness depending on how well lit the room is.
Great content, a nice quick but thorough of setting up the TV. When I did it, it was easy enough to get it all connected to the internet. But for the life of me, I could not figure out how to just get to normal, over the air TV. How do you get to over the air TV? Thank you!
You have to engage samsung TV plus then go into the menu and scan for channels under broadcast. The channel appear at the beginning of the list in the guide
I've been waiting for a review on this guy. The Samsung guy at my store said that the CU7000 and CU8000 are pretty close to identical with the 8000 having voice functionality. Hopefully you have time to do a comparison on the two. The TU7000 does not impress me (neither does the AU8000, but it's far better than the TU7000). In this price range I'm typically drawn to the LG UQ75 or TCL 4 series just because their out of box color is better to me. I haven't had a chance to see one of these in the store yet. You may not have seen it since it is a Best Buy exclusive in the US, but the Sony X75K is also a really nice TV and is more inline with the price of the Samsung AU8000, LG UQ9000, et al. I've also been impressed by the Nano75 TV from LG. I'm pretty sure it is being discontinued, so it's on a really good sale at Best Buy right now.
@@TechSteve fantastic! That helps me a ton. I sell TVs for a major brand in a sizable electronics store as a part time job. Videos like this help me a ton when I'm selling.
In my living room I have a Samsung NU8000 55". I'm considering this CU7000. Would you say that the CU7000 70" picture quality 4k, HDR, 1080p would be better compared to my aging NU8000?

I got this TV a couple of months ago, honestly it works just as intended and every thing is fine BUT My Samsung hub doesn't include game hub. Idk why but it doesn't I tried everything but couldn't "enable/make it appear" Does anyone have any solutions?
I believe, cu7000 model is the standard model, and cu7000b is the one with gaming hub. I was just at Walmart awhile ago. You probably got the standard cu7000 model
Gaming hub is not available in all countries, however in some countries the app can be downloaded. Quoted from samsung: Samsung Gaming Hub is only available in select countries: Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, the U.S. and the U.K. In other European countries, cloud gaming apps can be downloaded from the TV App Store and accessed through the Samsung Smart Hub
Perhaps weird question but: Can I set this TV or any Samsung TV up without Internet? I ask because I"ll be moving and without internet upon purchase for a few days. =) thanks!
This TV seams decent only until we compare it with those 2 QLED models from TCL and Hisense with 3-4X more brightnes, 120Hz panels, local dimming and even Mini Led for just a little more $$$.
You mean those budget Hisense and TCL doesn't offer a better picture quality despite the fact that they have more nits and have a Qled screen 😮 ??? It looks strange, maybe the CU7000/8000 EDGE led technology delivers better results than the direct led method even if the samsung has a "basic" non Qled matrix...
Oh sorry, yes it's true I compared them to the NON US Qled models of TCL which unfortunately are budget TV's with an average picture quality (C635 and C735)
Can I use an additional mic or galaxy phone for voice commands or any workaround for the same? I ordered the 7000 and later found that it has a remote with no mic dunno why they still gave a Google assistant button on the smart remote
My Samsung CU7000 55 inch Smart was delivered to South Florida today direct from Samsung. I unboxed it and did clean legs install, set it up on the table stand, plugged it in and hit the remote for "on". The screen read "Samsung" then everything went to a black screen and it won't function or light up. I found no button controller so far under the lower Samsung logo at the bottom middle section. After two or more hours trying to work with Samsung support Chat, Text and finally a live person at least a half-hour who by cellphone link on a Samsung phone and email I could not receive a verification code. I should send it back but I am going to try a local Samsung repair tech at my home I was directed to two to call tomorrow. I found the button on the bottom tried various plug outlets direct to the wall but no power regardless. I think they may have sent me a TV someone else already returned is how it seems, I always buy mine at Samsung Direct at their website.
Well it has yet to light up, awaiting Samsung warranty service technician scheduled for Tuesday August 29 so far with a warranty service order noting Florida-based Cone Appliance Repair does not respond to email. The return policy does not allow for a direct replacement even if it was nonfunctional out of the box. You have a window of 15 days from delivery date to have it back to Samsung and a refund will be granted, after 15 days you are on your own from Samsung Direct. The customer must simply buy a new one again from Samsung which is what I did a couple of years ago with my 55 Smart HD that was toast after a wall socket surge meltdown power outage left a burn scar on the metal chassis from the power supply lead wires to the LED backlights, I will handle the restoration of that unit because it is too nice of a TV to discard. The downside is after the 55 inch CU7000 TV is serviced and working while purchased brand-new it is now instantly a "refurbished" unit.
Today, Tuesday August 29 was when Samsung Support scheduled a warranty tech visit who was contacted today to confirm the appontment but it was reset to Wednesday September 6 when they arrive then they take it apart to see what parts they need to order then return whenever to repair it. Customer service at Samsung Direct isn't a pleasant experience. Any pleasure in buying a new TV has been rendered both null and void.
same thing happened to me had my television delivered from Sam’s Club set it up was easy but no power came on. Even once I found the power button underneath the Samsung logo. It only showed a red Amber light and still no power to the television. I’m taking it back to Sam’s Club and I’m ordering another one. This is still on sale last day for a 58 inch under $400. I am a Samsung fan only Samsung is in my house, so my fingers are crossed that this was just an anomaly.
