I had this problem in October and followed your directions and it worked great. As others have said, it happened again. Watched your video again and did the same thing and…it’s working again. Don’t know how many times it will do this but I’ll just keep doing it. BTW, I’m a 67 year old female and could do it all myself! Thanks so much and keep making your videos. You’re great.

What you recommend is simply the best and smartest solution to fix the Samsung dryer non stop spinning problems. It works great. I tried those unplugged and plugged cables on the controller board and also replaced the door switch, etc. None of those tricks work. You are awesome!!! Thank you so much.

Success!! I’ve watched so many videos and this one is the only one that has given me results! This video was SO HELPFUL!! I purchased my Samsung dryer brand new less than 3 years ago and then this tumbling problem with the door being closed began two days ago. I tried unplugging all the wires in the PC board and tapped on the relays multiple times to no avail. I was almost ready to purchase a new PCB until I watched this video today. It was most helpful to see the actual piece inside the relay box that’s causing the tumbler to run continuously. After opening the box and freeing the conductor piece, my dryer is working again! Thank you, Hameed!! :)

Hameed! You are The Man! I got as far as removing the board and tapping away at the relay with the screwdriver lightly to then hear a click! So I crossed my fingers, closed her up and BAM! She worked perfectly once again! I do recommend replacing everything before connecting it being that a lot of Amps are running through that board. It was only five screws and it took five minutes. Good luck everyone!

You're a star - fixed my Samsung dryer DVE45R6300 and I am sure I save a fortune; service repair would have immediately replaced the circuit board at great cost. Appreciate your simple explanation on how to access the circuit board and the cause of the problem. Also very helpful comments - few firm taps with a screwdriver on the relay in question, reassembly and test - 15 minutes and job done. Curious to see how long before it happens again. Thanks again.

I was sceptical but your method worked. I didn't find that the metal bar in the switch moved much up or down and it did not click. However, I did make sure that the bar was not touching the connector on the right (tried to force it down). When I reconnected the board and plugged in the dryer, presto, the dryer was functioning properly again.

The relay is actually pretty easy to replace if you have a few tools handy, which I'll describe. Yes the board is potted in the rubbery compound and removal of entire board will be near impossible without damage, however! You can use a Dremel with small cutting disc to cut the white plastic housing just below the relay (roughly a 2” x 3” piece), carefully pry said white plastic piece off, then you can take a flat head screwdriver and carefully pick the rubbery potting off the board that is covering the relays solder joints. Do not cut too deep, just until you cut through the white plastic, and do not damage the board when picking off the potting. You could use a hacksaw for this as well though more work, and perhaps the razor blade as well if you don't have the Dremel like tool. This is easier than it may sound and only takes about 5 minutes to do, about as difficult as cutting the side of the relay off. You can then unsolder the relay as normal. Note that I use the small screw driver to score the rubbery potting around the relay body as best I can to aid in removal. The relay then comes out with a bit of wiggling back and forth. Then install a new relay which are easy to buy. I’ve taken the relay out of two boards like this with no damage other than cutting the housing to access the relay solder pads. You can then seal it back up with some silicone sealant if you desire (perhaps something like GE Silicone II), which will also hold the white plastic piece you cut out back in. I have cut open relays in the past like shown in the video, cleaned the contacts and made them work again, so this certainly can work, but once the contacts are compromised I’d rather replace when possible. Just thought I'd add this in case anyone sees it and wants to actually replace the relay.

I can certify that your solution is exactly what the technicians in my country are doing... they charge 260$ for that job basically and tell you that the board cost 360-380$ and takes 2-3 weeks to arrive
@621ELECTRONICS
@621ELECTRONICS 10 месяцев назад
@@zeratul600 I’ll say it is a perfectly viable repair and should last year’s once a new relay is installed, assuming it is just the relay at fault, and done carefully. The last one I did was in a relative’s dryer, and it has been at least 2 years working fine still. The key is being careful and not damaging the board during the procedure. Always a risk when doing such a repair. Sadly the boards are rather costly, and the labor costs add up as well, so just swapping the relay by itself is much more profitable if you can do it without issue, and or cheaper for the end user to DIY at home. I mentioned this solution as it is more of a real permanent repair aimed at DIY that can last years, can be done with relatively simple tools, and the relay is cheap for anybody wanting to save money and do it at home themselves. Of course there can be some cases where the issue is deeper than the relay, so that may not fully fix the problem, it's just that the relay issue in these is very common and the usual culprit.

This did the trick. My control board had a large white plastic cover and the relay could not be accessed. On the outside of plastic housing I used a sharpie to mark an area that could be cut out to create an opening to access the relay. Then i used a dremel mototool with a disc cutter to remove the window.. once opened, i used the dremel to cut across the top of side of relay. Then the side was very easy to remove by snapping off. I unstuck the relay with small screwdriver and now works perfectly. no need to remove the control board for access. Hope this helps someone, Thank to the person who did original video. mk

Very appreciative of the video. For years, I was doing the "tap with a screwdriver" method. Decided to try this because it seemed like a more permanent solution. Unfortunately, the unit won't turn on at all anymore. I followed the instructions from this video verbatim, I grounded myself before attempting this, disconnected the power, was very gentle and ensured the relays were free and clear. Perhaps a word of caution before you begin trying this and brick your dryer like I did.

My plastic compartment wasn't the 1/4-1/2 " height all around as in this video. It was tall enough to impede peeling the side off the relay and sticking in a blade or small screwdriver. To solve this I cut away the white plastic housing vertically in 2 places with my Dremel tool on either side of the relay switch. I scored horizontally near the base of the relay switch/silicone board so the white plastic housing could fold down like a door. This then allowed me to peel the side of the relay off and insert a small screwdriver. When finished I folded up this little door/tab created. The door/tab area will include the wedge that holds the computer housing in place on the dryer. Not a big deal if it breaks off because the other end of the housing has the screw to hold it in place.

I got one question, cant you just put a non flammable piece to stuck the relay in the middle? or the relay needs to be able to go up and down?

Relay needs to go up and down . I do not recommend getting anything stuck in there safety reason .

@@hameedwafaAFG whoa bro, thank you so much for answering!!! I imagined that. Right now the owners of the dryer payed someone to fix the board, the cut it from below the plastic cover that holds the circuit board, my guess is that they did use a dremel, and from there desolded the faulty relay and change it, but they did screw something, because the dryer now dont do the automatic turning when closing the door, but now it doesn't starts turning, and i overheard the technician talking toe engineer who fix it saying something like the relay isn't activating, so he took back the board to the workshop... Again Thank you for this video, this made me be able to be informed of the fault and not get scammed with the repair or something

I have the same model, do you know why it doesn't stop by itself? it just keep going, sometimes for hours if i forgot about it?

Most likely your control board could be moisture sensor . It can also be ventilation hose , if moisture is not going out dryer would run forever until moisture gets out of the system .

Instead of cutting the old relay open, could you purchase a new relay and simply leave the old relay in and plug the new relay in? Or is the relay hard soldered underneath somehow?
@hameedwafaAFG

Unfortunately you can not solder new relay easily because the way they add extra silicone gel

thank you ...that's what I was thinking. Simple tapping solved the issue probably temporarily. If it fails again I will slice open with razor or Drexel and clean contacts and apply electrical ontact grease
