My Samsung dryer just started doing this same thing first time it happened I went to my breaker box and turned it off in there it actually worked and reset the dryer. The problem came back breaker box didn’t work this time so I turned to You Tube. Came across your video and hit the side box like 4 times and hit power and the display lit. This was a quick and easy fix thanks for sharing and buying me time, I was going to purchase a new one if I couldn’t find help through You Tube.
Beating an electronic component is absurd! I cannot thank you enough. Never would I have even tried that. Had the board out and was so very careful not to jar it or touch anything with my fingers. Little did I know it just needed a little tough love. Thank you. Thank you.
Thanks bro I had servicemen scheduled to come out today they didn’t come and you just gave me a quick easy fix call me bought me time thanks 1 million ha ha
I didn't even take it apart. Just gave it a couple good wacks to the outside on the left upper corner (facing the dryer) and it was back to normal. This is the first time it ever did this so we'll see how long it lasts. Thanks for the video.
Just a quick tip for anyone looking at this. The relays go bad after a period of time because of excessive heat built up in the cabinet. Under normal operation, it does not present a problem by design, but when you have a restricted or clogged vent, the heat has to go somewhere and it ends up causing issues with the main control board. I can see lint all over the wiring harness.
"If you can bide some time and beat the shit out of it.." My life motto!! Lol! Going thru the exact same thing. This helped me figure it out. Thanks!!!!
So, I tried this. It took longer to get the junk that we keep on top of the dryer off than it did to use your highly technical method to fix the problem! If I eventually have to replace the MCB, I now know how to get at it. In the meantime, I'll keep smacking it when it stops working. Thanks so much !!!
This did fix my dryer the first 2 times. Now it just doesn’t stop spinning. What is the part you mentioned on the video that it does need to be replaced?
Hi. Thanks a lot for this trick. It worked for me too. If someone get the same issue please disconnect all wire on Main control board(MCB) then turn on machine once with no MCB then turn off. Step 2. Connect all wires back MCB then you done.
Thanks for this video - saved the day - My wife is literally on the way to buy a new dryer since we have had other things go wrong with this thing. I guess we get to keep this piece of junk for a little longer!
Hey thanks! This problem is triggered by opening the door during a run cycle without hitting pause first. We have been able to keep ours from tripping by always making sure the machine is totally off before opening the door. Maybe yours is the same issue. Thanks for the video!
Worked great. Took out the board beat the actual relay that's the problem while connected till it stopped spinning. I'll comment again how long it lasts
You are my hero... I had already removed the control board planning on replacing it when I can across you RU-vid. I placed a towel on my desk and gave it a few good smacks. I think I may have actually herd the relay release. Thank you for posting the solution / patch. While searching I see that this is a very common problem with many model Samsung Dryers. Are you aware of any recalls?
Thanks so much it worked for me as well. I would like to replace the control board. But, Samsung no longer makes that part. My dryer model is dv 431 AEPXAC 01. The part number is DC92-00322M. Does anyone know an alternative part number that will work?
LOL! Samsung does not recognize, or rather admit that they have a fan relay issue on multiple dryer models. I am pretty upset that a cheap sticking relay makes it from model to model with out them fixing the issue.
Haha perfect! It worked! Thanks a bunch : ) I have a DV42H5400EW with the same problem (wouldn't stop spinning). I guess now I just have to plan on replacing the main PCB (part DC92-01606B) or just figure out how to order a relay and replace that piece. Thanks!
mine just started doing this 2 nights ago, just 2 months out of the 1 YEAR warranty. wanted to charge me 80 to look at it and 80 for parts, then another 80+ for labor ect. screw that. gonna try this and see if it works for me, spent wayyy too much money to put another 300 into it.
@@ipadofdoom i complained directly to samsung and was able to get a one time extended warranty. they came and fixed it today. had to replace the "Main PCB" took less then 30 mins.
F-ing Samsung, never again will I buy one. What junk. Mine’s giving me the same problem and I notice there are numerous RU-vid videos on the same problem. When my drying cycle is over I’m going to go beat the crap out of it.
The real problem is the relay on the board is failing so doing this will only come back.. This guy didn't solve anything he just deenergized the board and all the moving around freed up the relay just to have it happen again soon. If you cant find a board fix the relay.
