Most videos on RU-vid don’t show these very important steps, I could not get to put my new filter back in after taking out the old one but after watching your video…it was very easy to do. Glad I found this video. My filter went out today, and I bought a new one from Lowe's also. The thing is, it's been about 4 hours since I've replaced it and it still isn't making any ice (I have an ice-only model). Then I noticed how you turned your filter while installing. I was doing quarter turn counter-clockwise to take out the old filter, and quarter turn clockwise to replace. I just did your method and heard the filter sound off as I did the 180 degree turn. Fingers crossed.

My filter seems stuck in the fridge. Any ideas why? It definitely needs changed but I dont know how to get it out. Thanks

What if my fridge only has an ice maker and no water dispenser? How do I run the water through?

I don't have the strength to pull out my fridge to turn off the water tap, so I just turned off the water to the house for a few minutes while I completed this task.
