Samsung Front Load Washer Drain Pump Motor Fix 2 o 

I fixed appliances for 12 years, but have not been exposed to the new front loaders since I got out to that business. My 8 year old Samsung gave the ND code and similar symptoms. THANK YOU for taking the time to make this it did a couple of things for me. a) Saved me some anxiety of learning how to take it apart to diagnose and IF I did it in the correct order... b) Got me familiar with the overall machine c) Helped me recognize I did not need to buy the WHOLE Pump (housing and all) d) Helped me get mine fixed FASTER than the authorized (local) service group e) Saved me some money... Thank you from the Netherlands. I bought a second hand machine on an auction and it did not drain. A lot of hard stuff came out of the drain, but still blocked and slowly draining. I solved it by putting a warerhose on the outlet and pumped water in (so the wrong direction) after that it drained well again.. Working flawlessly now. Nice video, compliments!

NOOOOOOOO!!!! The video ends before the spring ring is put back around the rubber door part!!!! Little help with that would be super appreciated. Other than that, a huge thank you! Videos helped walk me through everything. Just have to get the ring back on now.

Thanks for the video...it helped me fix mine for 22.00 buying the part on Amazon. I would like to offer a few tips. While you have the front off take the time to also take out other hoses and clean them out. I could not believe all the gunk and junk that came out of them. They are easy to take out and clean.

Great video! On a side note you don't need to buy the complete thing if the plastic housing is good. The motor unscrews from the housing and has its own part number. The complete thing is 70-100 dollars and the motor is 30 bucks. Just had to fix mine and figured that out after searching online.

I bought an aftermarket pump and saved $50 bucks. Only problem was the pump was about 1/16 too wide and the plastic cover did not slip on as it should. I had to force it on. Worked out ok. Certainly worth $50 bucks for a small issue....

Great video thank you for taking the time .i have ssme model and have nd code wont pumt the water.

you should also add that most times a nd code is a plugged screen, not a bad pump. remove the cap on the front of the pump and check it to make sure its not plugged. ive had my Samsung frontloader for almost 8 years, the pump finally went out today but ive cleaned that filter piece probably 2 dozen times for an nd code.

model wf419aa does not require you to lift up the machine. there are no screws underneath to take out.

Clicked on third video and got “This video is private” screen. No access. First 2 videos were good. I had more room to tilt the machine and accessed the pump through bottom of washer. Came out ok. Thanks for the videos. 👍

I have this same model, bought in 2008 from Sears. It's been flawless until this last week. Keeps stalling at 11 minutes when it transitions to the rinse cycle and displays nd code (no drain). Sometimes I can get it to drain if I switch to spin only, sometimes not. With water still in unit sometimes it will start for a few seconds and then stall again. I did take it apart yesterday but found the front panel is a pain because of the door gasket. I was afraid I might damage it so I took back panel off and flipped it on its side. You can access from back and bottom. I removed hoses and cleaned them. There was some nasty black sludge that smells awful but not enough to clog it. I pulled motor and took it to work. (I am an electrician) It ohmed tested OK (14 ohms) and it ran on my test bench smooth and quiet (120vac) but I noticed it kept leaking dark colored smelly water. You can actually pry the rotor section out of the stator winding section. Once I had that apart I realized it was packed with sludge. The rotor shaft was worn and not sealing anymore which allowed the motor stator windings to get filled with water and sludge. It supposed to stay sealed, only the impeller blades should touch the water not the inside of the motor. I ended up ordering the exact replacement motor shown in this video off ebay for much less than Sears or other appliance parts outlets carry it for. Sears wanted $88.00 for it. I got it for around $30.00 and free shipping from a US supplier. Hopefully it works for me.

I've replaced the washer purge motor twice. btw the purge motor is faulty because if you leave the purge tube at full length and down into the wall drain it will cause it to back flow towards the lowest point which is the base of the washer thus leaving the pump face submerged in water. This leads to the pump leaking into to magnets inside the pump. It corrodes and the magnets crack and the polarity is compromised. The manual says to have the tube cut or at the right length just below the opening of the wall drain opening. They don't say it will f up your poorly made motor seal. Why would they?

The pump can be disconnected from underneath without taking all the panel work off...cheers.

At 11:33, there's a plastic piece that you screw in. Is there way to remove just that plastic piece without taking of the whole front?

Before replacing the old draining pump i remember hearing the pump working although was not draining properly because after i took it apart found the propeler was damaged and after replacing it for the new one doesn't even work , really dont know what to do anymore

My Samsung washer m/# WF203ANS/XAC is flashing error code nd. According Samsung tech support my washer doesn't have the drain pump filter. I replace the drain pump any way. Still same error code. Fuse problem? Where is the fuse? Any other possibility? Please help.

When I disassembled the pump from my washer, I pulled the impeller free from the motor and noticed a crack the entire length of the impeller shaft. Do you know if this is normal? I am assuming this is what has caused the failure....

I would check and clean all the rubber hoses while you are there. Don't forget the 90 degree plastic fitting directly behind and to the right of the pump.. Mine was plugged with hair, grease and I have no idea how two floss picks got in there but they did..:( Pump may not have been bad after all. I bought two pumps. 1-OEm and one higher rated on amazon. I weighed both and put the amazon one in because it weighed 1.9 ounces instead of 1.7. Great logic huh?

How did you figure out your problem was a pump not the bearing or anything else?

Replaced pump with a new one it runs and stops and it won't drain any other advise maybe a sensor that could cause the pump to stop

No multi meter testing? You can't tell if an open internal coil is the issue from a visual test??? You should remove this and appreciate the pro's.
