In this video I will show you how to change the Display screen Samsung Galaxy A50 Facebook- groups Page- / mobileservice.fr Facebook - / mobile.service.fr
Great video, but please don't heat a battery directly (use a heating mat from the screen side). Also, don't use a metal tool removing a battery (can puncture battery encapsulation and cause a fire). Use a plastic tool (credit card or iPlastix) and a little 99% isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges. Will come out like butter. That said, I had never done one of these and your video was spot on otherwise! Made the repair easy peasy.
This is solid advice! Ime it's better to try naphtha (eg zippo/ronsonol lighter fuel) first when ungluing batteries, although IPA is also a valid choice so long as it's very dry. Acetone should be avoided as many plastics dissolve in it. I use the tip of a RC quadcopter propeller as a spudger and I've never found anything that works better. Just wet the bonded area and run the tip the spudger back and forth along the area where the two are separating. The idea is to let the solvent do the work and use the tool to gently open the area up enough to get it to where it needs to go. Acetone should be avoided as many plastics dissolve in it. Obviously one needs to also understand the very real fire hazard that exists when doing this sort of thing. It's a good idea to keep a damp towel handy to cover a potential fire without having to soak your phone
Put some 99% Isopropyl alcohol around the battery and wait a couple minutes. It will eat away the adhesive and it will come out without using hardly any force. Please don't use metal tools.
tha is for the video. I just finished fixing my A5p based on your video. For the batter, I heated up the screen and bent it away from the battery. The battery pulled away from the chassis, and I inserted a very flat (about 1 mil) sheet of aluminum, being very mindful not to rip the battery. Then I broke the screen in half and pulled twisted the aluminum sheet out like flipping a pancake. The battery came out perfectly not-bent.
Thanks!! Awesome video, did a replacement for the first time and succeeded! But for any reading this, be more careful with the battery than shown in the video!! I punctured it accidentally, so had to replace it for safety...
I have replaced screen on my phone basing on your video thank you. I have easier because my batter was almost dead so I left the old one and just put new battery to new screen, thanks
sirs please reply asap, is samsung galaxy a50 and a50s got the same lcd? planning to buy a replacement lcd for my a50s but can only find lcdd's for a50, would that be ok?
What is that clear white gel looking, adhesive glue like fluid you are applying to the back of the phone cover, presented in the remaining minute of the video? I must know.
Place the blue antenna cable in the 'gutter' for both antenna cables first. The white one is a bit thicker and keeps the blue cable in place better than the other way around.
stupid question but i would just like to ask, after replacing the screen / getting it fixed is the front camera quality supposed to be blurry? / of bad quality? because i got my a50 back and upon look at the front cam the quality of my camera is blurry and was not like before
Thank you so much for the video, you just won but one subscriber. I have a doubt, I was wondering if the LCD and Touch is together. ?? The touch comes with the LCD.
Lol, I see what you did there. Buying the screen already on frame is only a few bucks more or use a heat gun to separate old screen and use some b7000 glue to adhere the new one to the frame.
question: i took out the battery using a small flat head screw driver accidentally poking a hole just in the aluminum surrounding the battery, not the battery itself.this strange odor started to appear.buy new battery or ignore the odor?
Battery damaged. Best to buy new battery or used. Some new generic batteries are not the same size and thus not the same capacity as original, so beware.
i didn't have tools so i used just a knife thats was very good and normal blower. with battery i used vodka just little bit arroun and wait it was very easy mate (sory for english)
Hate how the board is attached to the bottom of the screen. Also metal tools taking the battery out? WOW lol. Otherwise decent video. Found the part cheap enough so will be fixing my old one
im from South Africa , where can i order the glass - i would like to try and replace the glass myself....it looks easy , instead of giving it to the guys that charge these exorbitant amouts, pls help me order it????thanks
Good God does the phone even work right again after all this? what a huge disassemble pain for a screen. I see they make it ovet complicated so you just buy another phone.
A late reply, but no they are not. If you have an A505U and a screen and frame for an A505F you are going to need to make modifications to the case. They are the same price so get the correct part for your model.
um, stupid question but, once the screen is replaced all the phone’s data is still there or does it just get lost//completely format? mine has a cracked screen and its completely black, does not turn on, but when i connect the charger it kind of vibrates. i would like to repair it without loosing the data and files that were on it?... is that possible?...
You need to go slower, and be sure to not bend that battery, they are li-ion battery and very aesy to break. You can use a good rigid playing card to try to cut the glue and drip some 99% alcool behind the battery to help desolve the glue... Once the battery is bent like in this video your bether to buy a new one and replace it , dont try to unbend it cus if there is an internal short it can blow out
@@SumedhVaishampayan you need to just order a new battery. it's 12 more bucks. Using prying methods can be dangerous. You can puncture the battery which can lead to a fire. Just scrap the old
@@SumedhVaishampayan I know this is late but your best bet is to use isopropyl alcohol to pry the battery out, it's the preferred way of doing so - and recommended by iFixit.
Can you please explain further what you mean by this? Recently had the screen replaced and earpiece speaker is not working. We took it apart again and played with the placement of the speaker but nothing is working
@@BoannBoyne 5:54 and 6:07 They show him taking off the speaker it was not done right see about 6:07 there still is a metal piece there. It should of came out with the speaker the whole speaker as one part it needs that meteal piece.
Ok. Could have saved the time I watched this doing something I can actually do. Best if you start the video with unless people refer to you as Mr. Wizard don't try fixing yourself. If your of the 'Doesn't the screen just pop off and you snap the new one on crowd' then STOP. Do not pass go. Take your phone to a repair shop and save yourself hours of frustration. Better yet, go buy a newer better phone with a good case.
When my a50 changing the lcd, camera and color will not return the same features.even the smoothness to touch will gone..it is possible that they fix another lcd brand.lcd of A50 have the edge while the lcd they fix is none
