Great quality video and details that I haven't seen on other disassembly ones. Thanks. I have a question, there are two pinholes on the top, one for the SIM/SD card slot. The other seems to be a microphone. What happens if you use the sim ejector on the mike hole. I would imagine Samsung Engineering would have accounted for that chance. Did they? Asking for a friend....
My a 72's touch screen became unresponsive a day ago, and now I can t even access settings. I've tried everything short of factory reset and disassembly, so I'm hoping maybe you might have some ideas on a solution? Great video by the way, love the detailed instructions. Might try this if nothing else works.
Same, but I think it might be the new update or the flex cable ( 1:27 ), but I'm not sure yet, I'm gonna buy a flex cable and fix my phone, and MAYBE come back and tell you guys. Maybe.
Hi, nothing will happen, its just there to help transfer some heat but its not a necessity for the speaker to function. Will work without it just fine.
@PBKreviews On my A72, when i press the center of the back cover, I hear a plastic click. Then it should be the plastic that contains the graphite pad that probably has some play. Do you agree?
Yes correct. There is a slight space in between the back plate/battery door in some portions so that would be the reason you are able to press down and hear that.
@@PBKreviews Thanks! No need to worry then. Although these clicks shouldn't be expected in a Samsung phone imho. Nevertheless even some iPhone Max models have that, apparently...
I am noticing a bump/hump/ swell to the right side of the camera unit is it normal or something serious ? There is a slight battery draining issue and a slight heating issue near the camera unit when browsing.
Hi, I have a question: My A72 stopped vibrating out of nowhere and sometimes the virbation returns whilest i'm tyling even though its a lot weaker. I also hear a rattling noise, but this is the camera assembly you said. Is this fixable without dissasembling the phone? Thank you!
Sad to see the mid frame cannot be replaced.. if you want your phone to look new in the long run, and you like to carry your phone around without a case, that's better off buying a new screen. But still, at least its got IP rating in exchange
Thanks for the great video! Could you tell me please what parts do I need to replace if my fingerprint sensor doesn't work? Will it work if I replace the sensor and the bottom board or I need the sensor only? Thank you!
Nice video bro 👍🏻. I just recently dropped my phone and the screen goes all black. No damage on the body since I used case. One thing I noticed is the screen actually works even it's all black (it vibrates when I touch where the fingerprint scanner located). So then I tried to remove the back cover and suddenly the screen turned on and I can use it like nothing happened. But the probrem is when I put the back cover back on, the screen goes all black again. What could be the problem?
Hi, hmm that's odd. Might be a short or something. Try taking apart the phone and making sure all cables are attached and have not become disconnected. Also make sure everything is seated properly and see if that helps. If not, might be a defective screen.
Hi! I dropped my samsung a72 in a water last week. At first i was not worried since its a waterproof phone but after letting it dry, i noticed that there is still a moisture visible inside the back cover of the phone. I literally panicked since the phone is just 9 months. Can there be any damages inside my phone? Btw, the phone is working fine and there seems to be no damage on its functions. Thank you!
i dropped mine in the washing machine but thankfully i got it out before it ran a full cycle.. did your phone not turn on too after you got it out of the water? what did you do to dry it out?
I have been using my a72 for 3 months now. Suddenly whenever I shake my phone, it makes a rattling noise inside. Idk everything is working fine, but I'm nervous about it because I never drop the phone or anything else.
Hello, I think my Samsung A72 has an issue with regards the backplate, it fell off and I'm guessing that Samsung has a poor glue residue. No history of repair though, what will I do? Thanks.
you can replace the adhesive with a new one. Here is a link for it: www.ebay.com/itm/234722749721?hash=item36a690ed19:g:v~MAAOSw5p1jPbYF&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4J74u5kvH8apIL1oMsB3gi%2Fe0J0H1ZH2zwsOszCqzcx12UXa%2Bq4sXROJgWNDUbySn3qU4spJfdqmBfk7%2F4X5sTM9BWdQeUbq60n9WTpWb070Nb9ucYzvNSt2XPxamT3u0dnx2FtUGVr9Pkvqoc9E9XLGAvLM4KMv14vtTtIvhMvkOFIBkZ3ArbdJ2mcDUSgvdmlDZpxaveFqk6IMlJwX3mAksu4qq%2FAu5saodXOs9C2h%2B3qU3tyz36sjC2QP67zN1O7mzh9f4ppNva4nRSz6WvGnKxLeteiqjaBUQMYR0Mnd%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6TM3OrOYg
Hello, my phone was soaked in a laundry water. Unfortunately, the back part was open (it was opened by a technician and didn't glue it properly)... Then there was a water inside (since it was open)... Is there a possibility that it will be repaire? Or should I buy a new one?
Most likely will be too badly damaged. The only way to tell is to open it up, disconnect the battery, dry it out completely, brush off any corrosion over the chips and connectors with a small brush and then test the phone to see if it will work. If not, you would then need to order working parts like the screen, battery, etc. to test and see which is not working or has gone bad.
Hi, yea you can heat it up with a hair dryer and pry it off. Make sure all the liquid inside the phone is dry and that there is no corrosion around any connectors or chips so it doesn't short later and damage your device. Then you can re apply your current back with new adhesive strip like this one: www.ebay.com/itm/155008250046?hash=item24173630be:g:RFMAAOSwAdlhBEq1 or you can get a new back cover that already has the adhesive pre installed, so all you do is peel off the film and apply it to your phone like this one: www.ebay.com/itm/115130401775?hash=item1ace4e83ef:g:hFQAAOSwdfdhreqb
The midframe itself is aluminium with a layer of plastic around the sides/frame of the phone. Its not a unibody aluminum frame if that's what you are asking.
Hello, my Samsung A72 can't recognize the SIM, from what I've understood, I should replace the main flex cable and/or the sub-board. Is it correct? Thanks a lot.
Hi, no the sim reader is located on the main board and not the sub board. So would require a specialty shop that does soldering to be able to replace the sim reader on the main board.
Hey just wanted to know (since I get paranoid easily). I dropped my a72 and although there is no visible damage because of my good bezzeled cover and screen protector. Is there any chance for it to still have any internal damaged despite it looking absolutely fine? Is the internal built sturdy enough to survive a simple drop easily? I am just a bit concerned since this phone is indeed expensive. Do guide me.
My samsung a72 back cover fell off on its own. Thats why I was curious on how to glue the back cover without affecting the water resistance capability of the phone. But it looks like you didn't even glue it back? Is gluing it back enough? Or it has something more that is needed?
I don't show applying a new one in the video, but here is a link to the replacement adhesive needed to re apply the back. www.ebay.com/itm/234722749721?hash=item36a690ed19:g:v~MAAOSw5p1jPbYF&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4J74u5kvH8apIL1oMsB3gi%2Fe0J0H1ZH2zwsOszCqzcx12UXa%2Bq4sXROJgWNDUbySn3qU4spJfdqmBfk7%2F4X5sTM9BWdQeUbq60n9WTpWb070Nb9ucYzvNSt2XPxamT3u0aDNNFYR4jt6wZ1Zzfn6Erb1hFkLqaPOacoktKdunddqWkC%2FZlfBNE1Jy4ws0i37Z7odIT7TvxLcjPCtOAOBk%2Fd7A1gofxCCa%2F9Gxh%2B0%2BIRPXWqHK0PbdQU5QzpmQq74gQbtKr1MEvXl7Ysad0My4Zg62mkXiV%2FGaoe%2B%2BIJ3Pe6t%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8rLgO3OYg
Hi, aside from taking the phone apart, you would need some sort of tool to be able to get in that hole slightly and hook around the sim tray eject hole to gently drag out the sim tray.
I don't have the skills to do that. It requires special companies with special computers and tools to be able to desolder the memory chip and get the info off of it. Its not a user removable chip. Soldered onto the main board.
Having problem in A72 . Moisture detected .. Is it the problem in type c port or the logic board or the sensor ? if its sensor than ..which chip it is ?
Hi, not sure which one sets off that message, but you can try brushing out your charger port with an old tooth brush or taking apart the phone to brush off any corrosion inside or dry out any moisture.
Hi sir, my main board is damage due to I dropped my Cellphone (A72) to the saltwater and it's already black screen and i cant charge also..is there a chance that I can retrieve my files and photos? please feedback :(
Not sure, it can be caused my moisture exposure over time or excessive heat can loosen it as well. You can replace it with this replacement: www.ebay.com/itm/155008250046?hash=item24173630be:g:RFMAAOSwAdlhBEq1&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4HeCADtEdyPMVgJ6qJDeIuYjgpdiaCo0s2XQINKvlIGjRvuNOfZsQXCCt%2FmwBtZ8QwklsC%2F2yNK2Mw47M2X%2FhS1alFJWNoNX9ji%2FzT5hdRuPF82%2FHd5MaXcFjM7e%2F8xVy7pDY1KUs6UwA2McsET0IaD%2BpeauUJsiXzY%2FRWpQ2qIXiyw2zVDjj%2Bg%2BRgpv%2BmR7qWu851jx%2BnKsdbZjNO5VtBRyxioS4rqDezIl0flZE5XCrvhYdpEMxXH9jIl%2F3qbpFIn1hZit3TYfXdYwLZSYHSB5WdoIVCo2QJrnqWgAUNII%7Ctkp%3ABFBMxpnwtZdh
Hi, my A72 suddenly started to restart itself and only stops when the battery is drained, cannot start it and tried everything. Any clues on what to do next?
Could be many things. You would have to try a different battery to see if the battery has gone bad, or might be software issues, bad board, water damage etc.
There are some components bellow the earpiece speaker on the board which can get hot and there is graphite film there as well which transfers the heat from those components from inside the phone to outside the phone.
dude i have sometging to tell you..my phone while im charging it its say trmperature too low but theres nothing waterlogo...pls help i cant charge my phone
Ya, its soldered onto the board so it would require a place that is good at soldering and that can find the part to be able to replace it. Wouldn't be easy.
@@PBKreviews thankyou for explaining.. instead to repair.. i would like to find alternative way that more cheaper.. maybe use velco and glue it on my cover phone.. then use led lightning that i can buy from china and attach it with velco.. whenever i want extra light.. it could help for a while before i change to new device huhuhu
It would be best to just disable the wifi from the phone, because disconnecting the antenna cable or antenna would just make the signal weak but does not mean it would completely turn off the wifi.
Because most replacement screen assembly usually come with the mid frame pre installed so once you have taken all the parts out, you usually transfer them over to the new frame assembly. However I do mention how to replace the screen itself if you only bought a screen which was not with the frame (basically once you took everything apart as shown in the video, all that is left is to heat up and pry your old screen off the frame). I don't pry the working screen off since there is a high chance of damaging the working screen when prying it off.
