Great review. I'm in the market for something exactly like this and want continuity with my other galaxy products. Nobody else is covering the regular Book 3 line so thank you!!
i just bought this laptop today. WHAT A MISTAKE! the fan noise is very loud and turns on at least 4 times every hour just from watching youtube and theres a high pitch sound too when the fan noise starts. i called the shop where i bought it, cause i thought is was a factory mistake. But when i youtubed the topic this extreme noise is standard on all samsung galaxy book 3. I have had tinitus half the day because of samsung galaxy book 3 high pitch noise. Ive been so mad today i just been wanting to throw it at my wall....some youtubeers claim one cant ajust the settings so the nise goes away, but that does not happen at all on this laptop. Ill definately return this samsung galaxcy book 3 to the store. ALSO the battery life sucks. ive watched only youtube and 3,5 hours in it has already used half the batteri life. the only reason i have youtube on is because the sales mans at customor service said i had to keep the laptop running and see if the noise and the high pitch note continues...which im sure it will by now.
With the i5-1335u variant and 16 gb ram i can edit in 1080p at 60fps, play COD and run 4 vms at the same time, so... the i3 should be even exagerated for office work
Thank you for reviewing the book3. I was getting frustrated while looking for a review since they were all on either the ultra or the 360. Do you think it's worth upgrading to the i7 processor?
No problem, I’m glad you found my video useful! And yes, if you want to run more resource intensive tasks and run multiple processes at the same time .. i7 along with a bit more RAM will certainly help. But just check the price as it would add quite a lot of money for those upgrades!
Seems like there are different configurations in different countries. In the Netherlands all versions of Galaxy Book 3 have keyboard backlight and fingerprint sensor
Ya, that’s weird.. when I first saw a different review video .. I doubled checked all options available on this Galaxybook which I reviewed. The UK version certainly does not have backlit keyboard or fingerprint sensor!
I've got the 8GB i5 model coming tomorrow, the fact you can upgrade teh RAM is amazing as I have RAM here spare that I can drop in... also have a 1TB M.2 laying around somewhere that I might upgrade too.
You need to check the model in your country as not everywhere is the same .. some just give the ability to upgrade SSD. On some the keyboard has backlight but not on others. Really strange thing Samsung does on their Galaxybooks .. there are too many variations as is and added to that different countries get different specs!
Excellent review! I am a student about to get into drawing digitally and coding as well, do you think it could handle apps such as photoshop or clip studio?
@@purimi3383 Thank you 😊 .. coming to your query, I’d suggest go with i7 processor and at least 16GB RAM.. and maybe even a dedicated graphics card if you want to get the best performance on using Adobe! Or get the MacBook Air … this laptop is decent for office work and yes, it can handle coding but if you try to run resource intensive design software .. it will struggle!
Good video! You are underrated as heck dude! But I have a little question.... how much storage does this thing have? I'm planning on buying it to replace my old 5 year old laptop!
😊😊 .. thank you soo very much.. for your amazing feedback, really makes all the effort that I put into making these videos feel totally worth it! Coming to your query, this one has 256GB SSD storage .. it is a decent mid-range laptop .. I also recently reviewed a Lenovo laptop on my channel which has slightly better specs than this one.. plz do check that as well, it might be helpful 😊
That's a great review video and probably the one i was looking for !!! Could you please tell me if buying this laptop expecting a lifespan of 5 years would be worth it?
@@RaavMedia I need it for my college and light gaming, for 5 years so what would be your final opinion? I do have an option for Asus vivobook 15 i5 13500 H but I can't decide between either of these could you please help me out
@@krarex Not sure what the config of the Asus model is as it’s different here in the UK.. for about 650£, the Asus one comes with an OLED screen and 16GB RAM that is superior to this model.. so ya, do compare the specs and then decide .. both are good brands so you will not go wrong with either!
Great review. I was wondering about using an external monitor to increase the size of the screen for working at home. What HD monitor would be good with this? I was looking at the Samsung Odyssey G70NC 43" UHD Gaming Monitor, it has a 2.1 HDMI port but is it compatible with the Galaxy Book 3?

Oh!! Seems like you got a bad unit. We bought several here for work not just one and some of them had issues which Samsung sorted right away! But mostly, they worked very well .. fan noise is low and coming to battery life .. well every windows laptop with Intel processors get similar battery life! You can contact Samsung and see if they can check/fix it .. also worth checking if all the drivers are up to date along with windows updates as well .. and check task manager and see which processes are using up lot of resources .. sometimes Anti-Virus software can be the culprit … I had similar issues with McAfee once and that was using up soo many resources that the laptop was constantly running loud and hot! Only uninstalling and re-installing sorted the issue!
Bro, if possible, please do a review on the latest 15 inch Macbook air . Not sure if you get the review units for it. In case you get, please do a review on it. Thanks !
I will try .. but yes, from my brief time checking out the M2 MacBook Air and using it at work, it is one amazing laptop. If I weren’t soo tied up into Windows apps, I would get the MacBook Air in a heartbeat!! Even the M1 MacBook Air which I reviewed on my channel was the best laptop that I’ve reviewed!
I bought one in January 2024. In May, after only 5 months careful use, the casing at the bottom of the screen split open when I was closing it. The laptop has only been used at home and has never been dropped or otherwise damaged. Samsung refused to repair it under warranty, claiming it was accidental damage. Despite it clearly being a build quality issue, I had to pay £260 for repairs. I won't buy another Samsung product.
@@avinass6223 well, 4 has updated processor, but if you get 3 for a good deal and willing to compromise on the generation of the Intel processor then you can go for it!
For daily office use .. it is more than sufficient!! Now … about resource intensive high refresh rate gaming .. what can I say!! Everyone is asking if a mid-tier lower end processor with low memory will work!!! But we all know the answer right .. if you want the best gaming performance.. you need a gaming laptop with separate GPU and at least i7 (preferably i9) processor and 16GB RAM! This one .. is barely ok for gaming … it drops frame rates, throttles down and the fan kicks off if you push it!!
They have changed the specs atlest in germany you cant buy the 8gb ram version with 256 gb storage. Its now atlest 16 with 512 gb. So i think they realised themselves that that was to little.
Hi, i have a Dell doc station, can i connect it to the laptop through type c port & access my 2 monitor, LAN, & other 3 USB ports of doc station along with charging? Asking because you mentioned type C ports are 2.0 . Please reply, my laptop will deliver tomorrow.
Sorry, I didn’t try connecting 2 monitors with this laptop .. I just used a single monitor connected via a hub and it worked fine plus I could use the additional ports on the hub as well.
Im considering to get this laptop.. as its about 63k inr comparing it to an acer aspire lite with similar configurations which cost around 48k. Im just confused cause the Samsung just looks and feels more good. Built quality is better but is it worth the 20k inr.. do suggest thank
Well, check in person and see if you feel the quality difference is worth the additional 20K! Also Acer laptops weren’t that reliable before .. so do check reviews on that model as well!
hi. Im looking at second hand orginal 360 vs model 2 vs model 3. I can find no comparsions on them. the book 3 would cost double the original. what is the actual benefit of model 3 if the original has i7 (11th) and 16gb ram too?
With latest iteration of processors, you do get better performance, both in single core and multi core levels along with better efficiency! The laptop also will be more modern along with better ports and usb c charging! I’d go as back as last generation and not beyond that as it’s better to invest in something that will last a bit longer even if you have to pay a little more. Also, these laptops do come down in price if you buy them just before the launch of new models! We got the 2 for about 500£ here in the UK and when they were launched, they were priced at 750£ .. so you need to time it right to get that awesome discount !
If you work intensively .. you are looking at 3.5 to 4 hours of battery life .. Cooling system is pretty decent for the price range .. the laptop doesn’t run too hot or noisy even when you push it a bit!
@@robinbanda1723 I don’t think Windows laptops can match MacBooks and MacOS in terms of battery life. Even on my Pro Galaxybook which boasts 11 hours ..as soon as I run a few office apps along with Slack video calls, the best I can get it like 4-5 hours!
i7 with 16GB RAM is really a good configuration but ya, the quality of the keyboard and the screen does take a little cost saving measures here .. if you are going to spend about 70k .. they maybe check Lenovo or HP or even last years Pro GalaxyBook models as they have better displays and keyboards. I reviewed the galaxy book pro 2 as well on my channel and that really is an amazing laptop ..check and see if you can get that for a discounted price!
@@seramreddichaitu9428 Galaxybook Pro 2 is amazing .. that’s what I reviewed on my channel .. that laptop is incredibly light and still gives amazing performance.. but mine is i7 version with 16GB RAM! Do check that review and you can see how amazing that laptop is 😊
@@RaavMedia No expandable RAM on any variants, I don't know where you found this out but this is what I was told by samsung support. (I asked for UK variant)
I want to buy this laptop fir study purpose and want to start a youtube channel of economics And may do casual gaming Is it suitable or not And i am also confused should i buy galaxy book 3 or galaxy book 2 with i5 1240p processor and intel arc a350m graphic card Can you please suggest sir which one to buy or any other laptop
Can i used this laptop for RU-vid videos high resolution 4k ?I mean transfer high resolution from my camera to my laptop, then edit and put the video on RU-vid
For 4K video editing, I’d recommend going for at least i7 with 16GB RAM! And maybe a dedicated graphics card as well! The only laptop which I tested that handled 4K video editing brilliantly costing under 900£ was the M1 MacBook Air!
Seems like every country has got slightly different models .. so better check for your local configuration .. here in the UK, this model has an additional slot to expand storage.
See, when you are working with such resource intensive apps, the best thing is do is get a machine that will handle all that and then some more .. and unfortunately, you need to pay a bit more for that but you’ll be glad that you did so .. as you won’t be stuck with a machine that is cheaper but will not be able to handle all your requirements! So I’d recommend going in for at least for i7 with 16GB RAM and maybe a dedicated graphics card !
Seriously.. there is nothing like the 2 Pro … the 3 Pro is not the same as Samsung made it thicker and heavier, same as normal laptops!! So I really love the 2 Pro .. but if you are comparing with 3 (non pro) .. then newer processor always gives better performance and efficiency! So you need to choose between having an amazingly thin & light laptop or a new gen chip!
@@StarrLord786 Ya, the thinness and lightness of the laptop really amazes me every time I pick it up … it’s a shame that Samsung didn’t go this way with Book 3 lineup .. both the book 3 pro and ultra weigh like a tank!!
Me too.. but it’s like this with most laptops .. don’t think companies want to spend extra money adding the necessary hardware on either sides .. so they all set it to one side!!
Well I haven’t tested Real Me so my suggestion is to check both at a store and then decide! The Book 3 is pretty decent mid- range laptop and we use quite a few at work as well and they all have been holding up fine!
I pinned in the comment as well .. I got that wrong as there were too many models with different specifications! The UK version only has a slot to expand the SSD and not RAM
Nope… usually Samsung brands their touchscreen versions as 360 … it is a bit confusing as there are soo many versions .. plus , it seems like different countries get different specs for the same model!!
Strangely .. looks like different countries get different models of this laptop. I have seen the Indian version having back-lit keyboard but the UK version does not have that!
The Pro 2 laptop is really amazing as it is super thin and super light .. so I’d choose that .. but if you want to have a more future proof processors then you need to go for the 13 th gen version!
That would be a MacBook .. even if you get the M1 Air .. that would work perfectly fine. The video editing software available, even free one like iMovie and the silicone on the Mac is far superior than any windows laptop/software! If you want to stay with Windows, then your can use Adobe for video editing but for that to run smoothly, you need at least i7 processor with 16GB RAM. Or, get an iPad .. I edit all my videos on an iPad .. even made a video about how I do it on my channel.. check and see if that helps 😊
@@Premkumardurai27 Just wrote this on an other comment for the same question: Seriously.. there is nothing like the 2 Pro … the 3 Pro is not the same as Samsung made it thicker and heavier, same as normal laptops!! Don't buy it the fan is heated very fast , this laptop is slow , I have it just for one week , I wished it will be better but no now I need to retun it
No at all .. you get to choose in settings if you want optimal performance or high performance.. and the fan noise will depend on that along with the processes you run. But by default, this laptop runs much quieter. My 1300£ Dell laptop used to run like a tractor in comparison 😄
