The idea is that without an EQ, naturally it doesnt have any bass. You can EQ anything to have more bass, but it wont sound natural if it didnt have it already.

Just purchased a pair yesterday. Super happy with the purchase! I think most people tend to jump on the apple band wagon and dont give much love to samsung. The galaxy pods are very light and snug in the ear. Perfect for the gym. And most importantly doesnt cost the earth.

Picked up a pair a few weeks ago. Love them! Samsung hit it out of the park with this product. Samsung products are getting more and more seamless. Not only with software but with charging. Samsung phones can wirelessly charge my buds and my Active 2 watch. This is a Great option! Samsung is running away with the hardware when it comes to mobile devices. Their software is great too along with Android. Open the case for the buds and they instantly go into pairing mode. They auto connect to my watch and or phone. Love the app to customize them. Sound quality is incredible. Samsung products have always been great for me and they're just getting better! The Buds, their watches and now their new flagship phones are all seemless, work together instantly and make my life better with great electronics that are integrated into my daily routine.

I noticed the L and R on the inside of your case have circles, mine do not. I got mine on release day (March 8th) so I don't know if that makes a difference. Great review nonetheless!

It was probably a last-minute change. I wouldn’t be surprised, when I got my second pair of Jabra replacements, the case was slightly different so it’s possible

Mine L and R are also not circled but I do have those two unexplainable scratch marks next to it, as seen in the video. Seems like a same design bug. The issue I have with them is that I cannot use them to voice input over Gboard. Not sure if Google issue or what, but I could do that with my wired earphones while driving.

I was dissapointed about bass quality on these until I switched to largest ear tips, and also, after inserting buds in ear, have to turn them slightly. Now, bass is head shaking :D

dbrand has skins for it. Have had mine on the case for about 5 months. Amazing fit and I don't have to worry about scratching the case. Also they include mini skins for each individual earbud, still allowing for seemless touch response. Hope this helps!

I've tried many Bluetooth headphones which I wasn't happy with but I'm very happy I bought the white buds for my Note 9. The sound quality is very clear, bass is solid, they look good unlike airpods and the ambient feauture is nice to have so you can still hear outside sound when you want. Highly recommend these

My left earbud stopped working as well.. then I disconnected them, open the galaxy wear app and opened the case in order to reconnect them and all of a sudden it started working. Not sure if it's a coincidence or a fix but you might want give it a try 😊

First time I've seen this guy. By the way, in regards to music not pausing when only taking one out. I like to only have one in my ear when listening to podcasts in bed, I think think that might be why it doesn't pause immediately? One bud use?

Just a heads up, you can control the volume under "Labs" tab, the turn on "Double Tap Earbud Edge", will allow you to turn the volume up or down by which ear bud you double tap, but it has to the on the edge not the center.

After two hours of comparison between *$13* Galaxy Buds and *$130* Galaxy Buds, the only difference we found was the quality of the case. They look Identical in literally *every single thing*. We tried sound quality, battery life, mic quality, special features, voice loudness, …etc. but couldn't find any difference.

Just got them yesterday but I'm already in love. Very comfortable and a nice seal, very low profile and looks quite good imo. The case is very slim which is great and it feels really nice, easy to take the buds in and out. The buds are very easy to use and the touchpad works great most of the time, love the quick ambient sound for things like train information or if im walking across a road. Probably the best feature for me, and actually one of the reasons I wanted to switch to these from my old jaybird wired bt earbuds, is the wireless charging. Just got the samsung wireless charging powerbank and it's incredibly convient to just put the case on it and it just charges up, and I can even charge it on the go if I have the powerbank in my pocket just put the case on top. The pocket keeps the buds in place on the charging pad and I'll never have to worry about battery with these. Despite the relatively low amount of charge in the case. Also the usb-c port means I can use the same charger as my phone if I ever wanna charge wired. Totally recommend, super happy with my purchase, this is the future folks.

1: actually, the case lid is magnetic 2: airpods also go flying if you shake them upside down violently 3: they are charging contacts not coils 4: lmao like airpods don't let you customize any of that, atleast it's there (oh, and no volume controls regardless) 5: voice assistant works, idfk what happened there but it isn't a problem with the buds 6: have never had someone tell me to speak up even outside 7: how loud are you listening you should NEVER have to go that high 8: reset or update your earbuds if it fails to detect that they are in, I did have that issue and resetting them worked.

the mics on the buds don't work as inputs, they only work to take in ambient noise. so if you open the assistant, it would only pick up voice commands from your phone mic.

First buds.. bud. I took a while to learn that the wingtips actually fit in your ear to hold the buds in using your outer ear indents. Anyway I liked your review because it had negatives.. It didn't matter to me because I have these already but I enjoyed your review. Very down to earth and considered without the hype. I guess the lack of charge cycles in the case means we sacrifice charge from the phone instead.. The ear buds do sound tinny until you place the wingtips properly against the ear indents to allow them to be held deeper into the ear canal. I particularly like using Poweramp for listening and wonder if I can use the ear buds with that and if the Samsung wearable app allows this.

Im watching with buds in, but can't figure out how to turn them on.

I just got them today. I dont have the problem with the skin contact but ive never tried calling with them though. And yeah, dynamic is the best equalizer. But in my experience just using them today, I think you can hear every little sound very clear and I actually "feel" the music unlike airpods or any wired headphones

Yes. I am using the Galaxy buds with the older s8 flagship series. So it will work with the note 8!

Yes they work for older models like the S6 dunno why they waited to release it for S10 if it supported older phones. Guess they wanted to be like apple with airpods. Which is why they killed the headphone jack

Hey I'm a truck driver and just bought these yesterday, my problem with them is the noise cancellation, people tell me it's really loud in the background that they cant hear me, is there a setting for this? Am I missing something? Thanks

Wow finally an egineer who thinks. These are the only buds which truly lock in by twisting backwards forcing the buds forward to a positive engagement. Conventional designs were a repeat of the same broken design, tristing forward but nothing to keep them in the ear. If you ate or talked they eventually worked their way out. Sound is louder possibly cause they are better or just that they sit in your ear tight

At 5:55 you said you have to take out both buds to pause playback. That is incorrect. They are programmed to 1 tap on either bud to play a song and 1 tap again to resume playback.

My ears both fit differently with most earbud type headphones on top of the fact I'm losing my hearing in my right ear. The large tips make a good seal and most importantly, stay in place. I switched to the larger wings to get a firmer grip in my ear, and the bonus is even more noise cancelling. For music they're great, and I can use just one at a time and have an entire days worth of charge if you stagger. For phone calls, the microphones on these suck because they're not close enough to your mouth to be focused, and you will definitely come through muffled. Also, me girlfriend told me she could hear me walking but had a hard time hearing me. Perhaps I was talking quieter since I couldn't hear myself?

Thanks for mentioning that the ppl cannot hear you while making phone calls. That the 1st important feature for me and its horrible. Listening to music isn't a problem.

I can attest to the microphones work really well. I was on the phone with my sister with the buds in and ear protection over my ears, while mowing the lawn. The call was fine.

snapegenesis88 Yes I have the iPhone XS Max. Not all the features work using an iPhone though. The ambient aware feature does not work and the long press feature just activates Siri. Other than that the pairing works fine long with the controls. Play pause single tap, skip to next track double tap, and play privious song triple tap. Single bud listening does fine as well with either bud and you can switch seamlessly. I would compare the Samsung buds to the Jaybird Vista's.

I've purchased a pair of galaxy buds a year ago and within 2-3 months the volume in the right buds decreased and never returned to it's initial volume even after resetting the buds and updating software. It's a big deal for me because I have some hearing loss in my left ear and I immediately noticed when the right bud decreased. I returned the buds to Samsung and they offered an exchange.The same issue happened two more times! Now, I'm trying to see if they'll allow me change to a different model. Be cautious when buying these, they're awesome when they work but it sucks when you run into this problem.

Define Bluetooth? If you mean what I'm assuming then yes? They are wireless earphones that connect via Bluetooth with a microphone (allowing your wife to answer phone calls without holding her phone by her ear?)

Just bought the Galaxy Buds+ , great video, it seems they fixed some of those issues within the app. My personal problem is not being able to further enable the 'press and hold' feature that's individualized per ear within the app that you can't 'lock' the ear buds unless you go in the app. Seems like a quick fix. Haven't tried having phone calls or using voice controls yet. Good video sir.

I think some of the minor issues like not resuming music when you put them back in you ear could get annoying but there is a reason for the touch pad. The sensor not touching you ear is not Samsungs fault one bit. The things more related to your ear shape shouldn't be bad maybe you need different wing tips. Over all this is a good review although you did kind of blow little things out of proportion.

You complain about not being able to control the volume WHEN YOU DISABLE it in the app while there isnt even the ability to do that on the airpods. I sold my airpods because one wasnt charging at all, even if it was in the case, which by the way also didnt show if it was charging or if it had low battery because the led is also red in both cases.
