Samsung Galaxy Fit e 4 Days Later...

The Galaxy Fit E is made for those who just want to track their activities. It does what it says and that’s it. I know that the Mi Band 4 is better in terms of more functions, but I love aesthetics. I don’t like the UI of the Mi Band, nor do I like the app. That’s why I choose the Fit E. It looks amazingly nice. Small, sleek, comfortable. It looks great! And the apps? Both the Wearables & Health app are so good and nice to use. So if you’re looking for a minimalistic activity tracker with basic functions, go for the E. It’s more than enough for the average person. So definitely don’t base your view on this review. Hell, don’t base it on ANY review. Everyone is different and thus you have to discover it yourself.

Not having auto brightness sensor makes things bad for outside activities. I had the original Gear Fit and I'm sad to know that Samsung still did not add that simple feature to the gear line.

Great insight on a sadly disappointing smart watch. Kind of a let down from Samsung. Personally I think the Fit E is most similar to the Fitbit Alta, and that tracker has been out for like three years now. Battery life, screen brightness and size, and the tap-to-wake feature; these are all featured on the Alta, and that had great activity tracking.

When I searched for videos related to fitness bands I found your channel and you make very good and informative videos. I've already subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work! Now I'm undecided between the Fitbit Inspire HR, the Samsung Fit, and the Samsung Fit e. I just want a light fitness band for sleep, heart rate, steps, calories, and water intake tracking.

Thanks Shane, I'm on day 5 with with my Galaxy Fit (not e) and I still have 21% battery life. I should hit the advertised 7 days so I'm pretty happy. Note I do turn off features I don't use (Frequent HRM). The only things I'm missing... 1. Media control. C'mon a simple Next/Previous button would be awesome.. 2. Option to disable inactivity notification. I don't need to know I haven't been active for an hour (ever); especially not when I'm out for dinner... 3. Ability to delete certain notification (emails mainly). If we are able to respond we should be able to delete no? Otherwise I like everything else! It will for sure replace my Gear S3.

Man, I swear I wouldn't know what to do without these kinds of videos. I was litteraly 2 mins away from buying a fite, now I'll just save up a little more and get the fit. Have a much better experience haha

Really good video! I paid 39€ for mine, which would be the equivalent to 43$ I believe. I get what you're saying because I can agree with some stuff, but at this price range you have to compare the Fit-e to the Xiaomi Mi Band line, specialy the Mi Band 3, the e's direct competitor, and you'll see that they're pretty similar. However, it's not a perfect product, it has some flaws, for example regarding the HR sensor, you can either have it always on or never on (outside workouts), there isn't an option to program it to measure from time to time, which is a shame, really. Plus, the battery def needs improving. Despite this, for what it costs, I think it's a pretty solid device, because I have a Mi band, paid the same price and had pretty much the same functions except the battery was much better but the Mi Fit app (which is crap since the latest update #sad) just doesn't synch with Samsung Health, which is a shame bc imo S-Health is the best app out there and this is the main reason I swapped my Mi Band for the Fit-e. Overall, pretty much agree with you, Samsung needs to improve on this band in the future, hell maybe with some software updates they'll be able to fix some stuff, who knows. For a first gen product tho, I would say it's a good start for Samsung, but it's Samsung, we have to expect and demand more from them bc they're capable of it.

Another market: I've just bought the Watch Active 2 and am thinking on buying a Fit E soley for sleep data. UPDATE: got the Fit E for a month already. Sleep data is ok, the sync is strange because if you open Health it syncs but does not show the sleep data, if you exit and open it again it shows it. I also noticed the Fit E syncs data only for the previous night so you need to open the app daily. Besides these, the watch is off since I got the Fit E, due to staying at home and not really using its perks. Overall, the Fit E gets the job done and is very lightweight, but a Mi Band (even mi band 2) is better for the features.

I'm sorry I haven't seen your video before. I am FROM Brazil and I bought the galaxy fit, and with a week of I am not disappointed with the battery. I hope that some update will at least decrease battery drain. Its useful life is approximately one and a half days. Upset. :( Congratulations for this video! Subscribed.

I 100% agree with everything you said about the Galaxy Fit E! Such a shame tho as is that affordable option and I love the Samsung Health app too! Now I'm battling with Samsung as I've took it to the support centre TWICE (mine count the steps wrong, I don't know if you had that problem?). So they changed the band but same issue...

I agree with you, i just got this thing like 3 weeks ago, because i don't really know the other brandss, and i just belibe in samsung product since i got galaxy a5 2017 it ist very great phone for it's price. Then now i am dissapointed by this fit e, they claimed it gonna last for a week, but it is only for 3 days. But for now i think it is not that bad because what i am looking when i wannted to buy this thing is the heart rate monitor 😁

I think the expectations are to high, this is a 40 euro fitness tracker. If you want bang for your buck, buy xiaomi mi band 4

Hey, i think you should try Xiaomi Mi Band 4, for 30$ you are getting pretty much A LOT with 20+ days battery life.

Dude, thanks so much for this video. I was taken in by the bigger more well known brand and was considering getting this instead of the Xiaomi Mi band 5. But you've been very thorough about it's flaws so I've decided to buy the Xiaomi band 5 instead! 👍🏻

You get what you pay for... I think for someone starting out, this is a good cheap watch. The galaxy fit is twice the price and makes away with the issues you pointed out.

Idk man my galaxy fit e came with 39% and i used it for 3 days till 0% and last i charged friday and its tuesday now i have 72% idk it works fine

The fit e is aweful I had to get my first watch replaced after 3 days as it would. It sync and now after 3 days the replacement will not sync! Extremely poor product.

Do you noticed that fit e scratches faster than normal fit?

3 day battery is fine, not far off the Fitbit Inspire Hr at 4 days... It's only £29 now in October 2020 so perfectly good for the money... You didn't mention anything about HR or footstep accuracy? just about battery life...

I bought mine just a month ago. Then I noticed that my samsung galaxy fit e seems to drain battery more and more since I use my fit e alternately with my other watch. I notice at first thee battery life goes for about 3 days (having 10% batt on the third day) but as I use it and charge it along the way in a month, it just last for 1 ¹/² or even less in a day. I don't know what happened. Should I blame the draining of batt on some days that I forgot to charge it?

Hi, how was the steps tracking? I currently used mi band 2 on my samsung phone, but the steps tracking quite dismal, most of the time, my phone picked more steps than the band. The fit e won me over because it's a samsung band, and it doesn't need any additional app like mi fit. How are your thoughts?

I have one and I have wore it 5 days without getting it off my hand. You need to turn off the hand movement launch, and turn on dim screen, I feel no difference between with the settings I wrote before and having them all on. You just turn them all on and expect a 50 euro band to be like a 100 euro one, tech noob.

not even charge yet until today, after 4 days use of mi band 4 full sensor on, all day 4th level of brightness. starting from 48% and now is like STILL 35%, i started to worried how to finish the battery . . . poor fit e . . .

That's expected from it, it's only £35, it's a fine smart watch, and o think it looks quite nice! But if your looking for a good one, go for the galaxy watch or galaxy active

I am quite sad because I just purchased this one while waiting for my Mi Band 5 my partner purchased from overseas. Mi Band is cheaper but have a lot of features 😢

it is sad, i also want a Samsung band because i have a Samsung phone and i use already the my fitness ap, and i want the band to sync with the phone, and only the Samsung ones can do that... this E one has a decent price, i don t mind the screen nor the lack of details in the notifications, but a 2 -3 days battery life is bad... also i run... and i want a start and stop run menu... it is just so weak... and the next one S fit, is allot of money....

Well I brought it and it said 4 days battery life but it was on 2 days and on the package it says long battery life but that isn’t that long

My mi band lasts about 14-15 days with sleep tracking and 30 min interval 💓 track. I think it has 110mah battery. Shame on samsung i cant get a performing tracker for my samsung phone . Now i have mi fit installed which m totally not comfortable with .
