Late to the comment party but thank you so much dude you are a life and money saver!! They wanted $120 to do this repair locally but the parts were only $10 on Amazon. Took an hour or so to do bc my hands aren't very steady but once you get the glass off, the rest is easy peasy! Thank you so much!!

If you don't want to risk damaging the camera mechanism with shards and dust from the broken glass, it's best to remove it from the inside, do the repair then mount the camera mechanism back in. That's how I do it at my repair shop, it takes longer but it's safer.

Thank you Bro. Bought the OEM glass kit and it came with everything, tools and all. heat up the broken glass, took some time to remove the old glue. Then cleaned it and put the new glue strip on and the bezel and was done in about 30 minutes. The cleaning up on the glue took some time. And you are right, just you the scapple to remove all the residual glue. It takes some time but worked very well to take your time and scrape it off slowly. Thanks again.

Thank you for the video. I would add that in my case (out of pure laziness) I didn't bother getting my heat gun and skipped the alcohol since it just made a mess when you tried it. It ended up being much, much easier without any heat or chemicals because once you get underneath the original glue you can pry it up almost in one piece. Just grabbed it and pulled after lifting it with a spudger and it left basically no residue. YMMV

I agree with you. Depending on the physical Stat of the broken glass what you did may work out easier than what I showed. Unfortunately for all types of broken glass it would not give the same result and might create more issues or time to remove clean and replace the broken glass.

Ty for the video. With needle tweezers I was able to turn them upside down and drive it under the glass and glue sheet and pry it up within about 10 minutes. I used a few pieces of regular clear packing tape over the broken glass while driving the tweezers under the glass to capture shards and pieces. I used a few q-tips with alcohol to clean the lenses, seems to have come out good!

First was it blurred before the repair despite the Crack glass ? Second when you removed the broken glass did you test the camera without any glass and what was the result good crispy image pictures etc...? Third maybe there was a mishandling during the installation of the new glass. "Please consider subscribing to help me reach my goals faster"

@@ersbit I actually just did it today! I wish I'd seen this video right when it broke! I put tape over it to keep it safe and the tape residue got on the lens 😭 if you have any ideas on how to clean that I'd watch the heck outta that video!!

Wow that's going to be difficult. Maybe carefully use a twizer to try to remove it or just make sure the camera lens is clear and leave the rest of the take residual on the camera body

Does the replacement of the camera screen affects the water resistance?

Frankly it all depends on the brand and type of double sided tape you get with your replacement kit. If really thick like oem you can be assured of at least 80% water resistance performance. If it is very thin such as the one that came with 3M on the none sticky side those are less robust and therefore might be a weak point of your device seals. Also If not sure you can assume your device is 1/3 less water resistant and if you usually do water stuff for 10 minute now refrain yourself to 3 minutes and make sure you wipe off all water as soon as your done doing your water activities.

I have a quick question its been a year since i removed my back cam glass.. So my images are sorta blurry there's no quality at all.. Since it has dust inside inner lens cam.. So if i order a oem glass will it be restored like will i get my quality taking photos or is it useless now until i replace or clean the entire intire camera lens dust

Hello I did a few search and found some showing the bronze/gold cam glass. Know with the adhesive I don't know if it's gonna look exactly like you have it oem. ( I searched on eBay) You can easily contact the seller to get additional pictures of the parts or confirmation that it's what you want before placing your order 👍🏾

Hi, Thanks for the video. I did the replacement myself. However, as someone said, the main camera is not focussing well after replacement. I checked before replacing and it was good. Should I remove the glass again and clear the dust and replace with another again? maybe?

If you checked before installing the glass it means the glass must be dirty of something is making the camera not seeing clearly.

Most likely if the repair is done right à few weeks after the glass broke. All the foggy and blurry symptoms will go away. In case it doesn't you will have to replace the camera module. When the glass is broken (dirty, dust and moisture) can damage the sensors on the back of the camera module👋🏽

Where can i buy a factory back glass from? I just got my phone back from a repair shop and they used a plastic camera glass and PINK back glass instead of a black one. Thanks

You can check the links in the description for the parts. If you don't get what you want in amazon. Try eBay but make sure you communicate with the seller to at least ensure that you get oem parts or similar to factory quality build. There are a lot of replication so it's hard to get something of oem quality. You'll have to have it repair by a Samsung certified store to be 100% sure it's Samsung factory quality

Yes, it will affect it. You will need to avoid Submerging your device in water for longer than 5 minutes to be safe. It might survive up to 10 or 15 minutes but beyond 5 minutes (if the repair was done right) is feasible but start to get risky.

Theres a issue when i removed the glass.. The camers quailty went to shit.. So i need to buy glass replacemnt to get quailty back?

If you remove all the broken glass and test the cameras it should be good no issues or focus or whatever. If you had issues during the test you will probably need a new camera module. You may try cleaning the camera module lense first but the chance of getting it fixed by cleaning are usually low.

Humm keep in mind that the water resistance might be slightly altered when you do thus repair. Don't just count on the putting the phone on water like you used to do it. If you play 5 mn before (brand new) after the repair 1.5 minutes might be safe to begin then may be increase. I think it should be good for water splash etc....

It's gonna get damage in a week or more. The camera sensors will start to show blurry image because of dust sitting on the sensor inside the camera. You will have to replace the cameras eventually because you couldn't use them ( bad picture and videos every time)

10 secs staying at a single point is not advised. Recommandation is to keep moving right left top bottom constantly. If you gotta stay on a spot Max 2 secs. Heat-gun power level also will dictate the amount of time during the heating process.

Bronze was the problematic color, it's black on internet market....For the bronze I advise you reach to the sellers for pictures that confirms the final color will be bronze (if you really really want oem color back) or maybe get the whole back in the right color of you cannot find camera glass parts of the color needed. That usually what I told other people who had the same inquiry

I'm petty, ill never but another galaxy just because of the way they designed this dumb camera. They have it protruding on purpose so it does break. And if you don't think so then you're a fool. Tell me how i have the Otterbox defender and the camera still broke. The phone is a horrible design. Otter box couldn't even properly design a case to protect the cam, which, to me, says alot.

hahaha your right the design is prone to cracks (anything S20 series and Note 20). The S21 tried to correct it you might not like the look but it’s a bit more resistant.
