Samsung Galaxy S2 T810 T815 T813 battery replacement 

To help others, I let you know my experience. I followed this video and still broke the connection, and I was very careful to lift the cover gently. Still failed. The connector is soooo fragile. Now I see the way I should have done it. Using a flat tool (you can by kits for this) to insert into the join and work loose the glue that holds the cover on, you must go where the switches are and insert the tool flat into the joint, push it under the cover as far as you can. It must slide in parrallel to, and touching the back cover, it will anyway as the back cover is so attached you have no choice. What this does is slide under the connector body that's attached to the cover and separates it from the cover, leaving the connection in tact, freeing it for it the back cover. If you slide your tool parallel to, and touching the back cover you will not damage the connector. But it does need separating from the back cover, BEFORE you even attempt to lift it. The connector is situated by the volume button. Hope this helps.

There are 2 screws under the screen which secure the back case near the 2 magnetic tabs. You need to remove the screen to get those screws out, otherwise the job is not fine properly. Of course, as you say in the video, you need extra force to remove the case near the magnets - because you have not removed the screws.

WARNING: On my Tab S2 9.7 (T813) there is a small cable right next to the right side magnetic post. You can see it in the video at about 2:50 min between the post and outside edge. It is very difficult to pry up the cover around that post and your blade may sever that cable. I know, because it happened to me. The video gives the impression that area which is in the red box indicating no buttons is safer to work in and does not mention that vunerable cable conncector. next to that post. I have done many battery replacements on other old tablets and phones and realize the risk of damage. I only perform these on old devices as a last ditch effort to avoid purchasing a new device. So, off to shopping I go !

I bought a battery and planning to do this job soon on my wife's S2. I think this is the best instructions on youtube as you point out that the power/volume cable can easily be damaged which isn't mentioned elsewhere. Is it easy to detach that cable from the rear cover without damaging it before the cover is properly removed? Also, since your cable is shown damaged, did you have to replace the cable and if so, how easy was that? Thanks!

Hi Frank, Just watched this video clip & used ity to open up my wifes Samsung Tablet T810 unfortunately the tablet ended up in the spa for a couple of minutes. I used a small metal blade to pry around the 2 Magnetic circles. I am not sure but I think I have cut a component off. If you look at your video at 3.36/4.20 between the red arrows is a plug style component. I think I have accidently cut the tape between the plug and the anchor to the tablet. Do you know what this is, what it does & where I can get a replacement if need be?
