Just picked up a brand new Note 20 ultra 3 weeks ago... fantastic phone... Upgraded from my S10 just because I felt like it... and the battery wasn't lasting quite as long as I would like after 3 years... Kept it, though for a backup, because it still works perfectly... 👍 I won't be upgrading to anything else until Samsung starts putting SD card expansion back in their phones.. I'll keep this one until it turns to dust... 😉
I have both to me. It comes down to the feel of the device in hand. You touched on it about one being a little bit more sharp, which is the ultra. Note 20 And then you got the s20 ultra which is more comfortable in the hand but pretty much the difference between these two devices. One has the s pen. The other doesn't they both look and perform very similar
The S20 Ultra is better mainly because of the battery life i find the battery life lasting me longer on my s20 ultra then on my previous note 20 ultra. Battery life is important to me so i sold off my note 20 ultra and kept my s20 ultra and the s20 ultra has 16gb of ram compared to 12gb of ram on the note 20 ultra
@nickhall7995 that doesn't matter to me i like a phone with better battery life. The S20 Ultra's battery life is better. When i had the note 20 Ultra the battery was poor in comparison. But i got both a the S20 Ultra and the new S23 Ultra so win win lol
Perfect timing. I am thinking of going note 20 ultra but 2 things i dont like is how warm it gets all the time and also the fingerprint scanner. I want a side mounted scanner tbh, way more comfortable and natural.
@IGoByManyNames maybe it's Samsung devices, but it's pretty much always warm. Not troubling temp, but none of my other phones including Poco x5 pro, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 9 pro get warm ever
I picked up a Note 20 ultra about 3 weeks ago... this thing hasn't gotten warm at all... (Although I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything like that, but I do plenty of multitasking), and I have absolutely no issues with the fingerprint scanner, opens the phone and under a second, every time... 👍
@Todd Kennelly okay, was just saying my experience. I think the fingerprint scanner is too slow for me and I multitasking and don't game. Like I said, it isn't hot it's just always warm, whereas my other devices are always cool. I optimized and am not running on high settings or anything. Battery is not strong either, I might return this or just keep it for multimedia at home cause it's not practical for my lifestyle.
For me, i really wanted the note 20 ultra because its big and also its nice to watch movies on it but the problem is the green and pink lines issue from it because other people who used this phone told me that its better choose other phones rather than note 20 ultra
Value the s20 Ultra is far better, i would say its the best value Ultra in 2023, because the note 20 ultra was the last note people are asking more for it, love them both, had them both, both have pros and cons, I like the boxy design of the note, the spen for work but you get 50x instead of 100x and 4500 battery instead of 5000 but they are pretty much the same phone without the spen. Cameras are pretty much the same, same experience, same software, same features not considering the spen. where I live you can get the s20 Ultra 128GB for around 300€ The Note 20 Ultra 256GB around 500€, so yeah. Does the spen worth 200€ more ? I don't think so honestly, since both have micro sd support even the more base storage becomes irrelevant. Enjoy 😉
@@tklee1581 really sad that the battery is too small because other phones with that capacity would perform twice as much... I really wanted to get it coz I like the note
You know what I noticed is that you don't I think you've only done one S 20 plus and that's my favorite phone right now I just went from The V60 to that, And I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with the S20 plus it's got a lot more features than the V60 loved the V60bbut s20 plus is better
Typing this with my preowned N20 ULTRA 5G. I was just at one of the local trade in hubs for gadgets and phones here in the Philippines.. I was just looking at these two phones and ultimately chose the Note20 ULTRA 5G. The S Pen and the corner to corner screen real estate sold me since I do Digital Art and Painting it is the perfect size for artists and content creators. I rarely use camera for 100x zooming and most of my subjects are within a reasonable distance anyway so the camera is plenty enough to get the job done. The only drawback I would say is the battery.. I like my screen on its brightest most vibrant settings when in camera and art mode. So better be near an outlet or pick up a decent power bank to be safe. I have never had any issues yet with the phone dying on me but there have been some close calls. Lastly this phone looks way better in 2023 than the dated S20.
The displays aren't the same, the note has an adaptive refresh rate (LTPS) display and it will switch to as low as 48hz when 120hz is not necessary while the s20 ultra will still use 120hz if you are just viewing a still image and this causes battery drain and a little overheating. The note is supposed to have better battery life as it also comes with a SD 865+ chipset which is much more efficient than normal SD 865. But the S20 ultra will have better battery life than the note when using in 60hz due to having a larger battery.
my budget is 300-400 USD i wanted a good phone for games and a good camera do i get a s22? and also if not what do you reccomend the phone has to be unlocked and no iphones bc my dad dont want me with one
s22 is bad people hate it its gonna heat up lag in settings waste alot of battary and lower a performance s21 also heats up but way less than s22 so s22 is samsungs failure and dont buy it s20 s21 s23 has 100x zoom but s20 and s21 has no spen so
@@eliasalt2580 with s23 you should get spen 100x zoom very good chip that can run anything in appstore beautiful design best cameras if we dont count 6k+ sony and other cameras curved screen amoled screen longest software support in samsungs and atleast 9 hour battary life
I'm torn. The battery is better on the S20 Ultra. Its hot garbage on the Note 20 Ultra. Screen is better on the S20 Ultra.. Seems more sharp and vibrant. The design on the Note 20 Ultra I think is better though as well as the camera.
I dnt think you can go wrong with either. I just got an s20 ultra and it wad worth it. I'll rock it till the 23 ultra comes down in price. I love the moon shots with the s20 ultra and my battery is pretty good
I've had a Note 20 ultra, (new, not refurbished), for about 3 weeks now and I wouldn't call the battery life "hot garbage" I get between 5 and 1/2 and 6 hours of screen time, and a solid 20 hours overall ... and I sleep every 20 hours or so anyway 😉 so, that's when I charge it. it lasts a full day with heavy use... and that's plenty for me...
Biggest difference between the two. If you get either unlocked the high spec S20 Ultra comes with 16GB of ram vs the Note 20 Ultra 12GB. The Note 20 Ultra comes with 5G+ antenna while the S20 Ultra only a 5G antenna. Really it's a tit for tat.
Either would be fine. I have both the 21u and note 20u. Recently bought the note from Amazon. I personally like it more then the 21u. The 21U will get Android 14&15 later and the Note is done at Android 13
@adidmanone6990 I'd say am a casual user, I've never gamed on my phone I usually just watch 1 or two movies and then phone calls. Also, the phone gets warm not overheating though, but noticeably warm (and yes I use a phone case).I'd suggest you skip the s20 line entirely and go for s21 line instead. Don't get me wrong the note 20 is a wonderful device I don't just like battery life and the warm aspect
@@nwokaforamobi5971 interesting , I’ve considered the s21 ultra as well , but I really love that 6.9 display and that note design on the note 20 ultra. I’m torn in between. The s20 ultra I can do without, not saying it’s a bad phone.
@adidmanone6990 The note 20 ultra is still a nice choice. Coming from a note 10 plus to the note 20 ultra I honestly can't tell the difference between the 6.8 and the 6.9 screens apart.
SD card expansion is very important for me and that's why I went with the Note 20 ultra, and why I won't upgrade to another Samsung phone until that feature returns... I'll use this one until it turns to dust before I upgrade...
I’ve actually been torn in between the s21 ultra and the note 20 ultra I just love both of them. I’m not really worried about sd card support so I need some help in the comments. I’m tired of apple and ready to come back to android
The reason you should get the s21 ultra is the software support it will be upgraded I guess 2 more major OS updates whilst note 20 ultra will only get security updates so s21 ultra is future proof
@@luciferjohnson8495 this is very true , I just don't know if I want to dish out that much money on a phone right now. Maybe the s21 plus or something but I'll have to see the prices on it.
I have a samsung s20 ultra and a s 10 plus but for any reason my galaxy buds pro sound better on my s10 plus than on my s20 ultra does anyone know why ?🥲
