Awesome video! I have a Note 20 ultra and got it unlocked from best buy the 512 gb version. And love it. I got the one ui 5.0 update and android 13. I randomly checked by hitting the update button on my phone the 27th happy about that.
I have owned the N20 Ultra and own the S21 Ultra currently and in my opinion, there is only one thing that the N20U does better: SD card support. Other then that, the S21 Ultra has a way better camera, better and brighter screen with the ability to actually use 120hz at 1440, better battery life and is overall just designed better. I personally don't care about the S pen and prefer the rounded edge design of the S series previously as they are more comfortable to hold and don't get scratched as easily.
@@jackthomas9137yes, it is brighter. As someone who has owned both the N20U and S21U, the screen on the S21 ultra is way better. And you have the ability to use 1440 while on 120hz.
My Note 20 Ultra has a camera focusing issue which makes using the camera a pain! I went on vacation just after receiving this phone in Aug. 2023 and it was very upsetting when taking photos because of this defect. Several people have this problem as well as I found online. I will go with the S21 Ultra and see how that goes. Thanks for this comparison!
I had the S21 Ultra. Worked great until May 2022. That monthly update killed it's cellular and WIFI connection. The June update didn't help, so I sold it. Samsung lost my business. I'm tired of them killing old phones with bad updates
So I sent my renewed Note 20 Ultra back to Amazon. Mine was in black and the most beautiful phone ever, it’s gorgeous. BUT, mine had connection issues. When leaving WiFi say my house and getting in the car, the phone wouldn’t connect to T-Mobile. I would have to restart the phone then it would connect, then my notifications would blow up. The 5 days I used it loved it. Although the battery was awful too, 4 hours 35 minutes was my best onscreen day. The renewed phones, they don’t change the battery. They claim 80% but there is way to check through the diagnostics area. Mine said 4232 mAh. I found a Samsung repair shop who would change the battery to a 5000 mAh unit for $99 or Stock Samsung 4500 mAh battery for $79. Since it has connection issues I opted to return it instead. With that said, instead of reordering another Note 20 Ultra, I’m buying an S21 Ultra for a few reasons. 1. The 5000 mAh battery vs the 4500 mAh battery. 2. The 120hz refresh rate in 3200x1440 mode. 3. The 888+ processor vs 865 processor. 4. The S21 Ultra will receive updates until 2025 so it may get Android 15 where as the Note 20 Ultra is finished with Android 13. 5. Miscellaneous stuff like 1500 bits brighter screen, the cameras are slightly better, I may buy the Samsung case with S-pen, etc. For the same money (roughly $400-$430) the S21 Ultra seems to be the better buy. Now I’m not a full time Android user, if I was I’d order the S23 Ultra. I use an iPhone Monday to Friday because of the Apple Ecosystem (MacBook Pro, Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, iPhone, Mac Mini, Apple Studio, Air Tags, etc.) between work and home. I love to tinker so I have been buying the older phones for years, it’s an addiction. I’ve had the Note 10 Plus (5 months, was my favorite Android phone ever), Google Pixel 6 Pro (7 Days, wasn’t a fan) Samsung S20 Ultra (3 months, loved this one especially the battery), S20 Plus (solid device, great screen and battery), Note 20 Ultra (5 days, it had issues).
The reason why the s21 ultra doesn't have 90 fps is that pubg has to optimize many devices to allow them to enable the 90 fps feature .. so in the near future we might see it on the s21 ultra but we don't know for sure.. almost all phones with 90hz-120hz pubg works to enable this feature
So besides people talking about sd card I don’t really see a reason to choose the note 20 ultra over the s21 ultra. Note 20 ultra is not getting anymore software updates , that has to matter. Though I do like the more curved and less bezeled display of the note 20 ultra , I’m honestly torn in between the 2.
I love your reviews!!!! I have an s9 plus and it's realistically as I want to go, but I miss having an spen. I also prefer a headphone jack and sd card reader. I am concerned about these security updates. What is the alternative if I really want to keep my s9 plus or get a note 9?
@@marinoaxeld.r5864 the snapdragon 865 on the 20 series is more efficient than any other new snapdragon 8 chips released so far (excluding the snapdragon 8 gen 2) i.e. it won't get as hot so quick as the snapdragon 888 would in the 21 series
Get the note 20 ultra and keep it, it's too good to let go and it’s going to be a collection item. I have the s22 ultra that I'm holding onto until 2024.
i really want to buy the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition 16 gb 512 gb model but i gotta wait 2 more months to get the money😑 but for sure I'm buying the OnePlus Nord N20 5g as my daily driver on Wednesday
Don't forget all the problems that S20 and Note 20 series had. Gluegate, Exynos 990 and green screen issues. I own one right now and I just picked up S22 Ultra because I have all the issues listed above. Also battery life is just horrible on Exynos version, you get like 3 hours of SOT with moderate usage. I mean it's a great phone and all, but with a lot of problems.
@@jedisamurai As far as I saw Snapdragon is still fine to use today. Just avoid Exynos 990 and you will be good. My S22 Ultra is miles better and smoother than Exynos Note 20 Ultra, and I realized how laggy it was when I picked S22 up.
@@ivanuremovic1199I had the SD n20u and had major cellular issues with it. Reset it numerous times, made sure I had an updated sim etc and it would constantly drop service in areas of my city while friends and family with the same service had no issues. Loved the phone itself but couldn't live with it day to day after it started having this issue (no water or drop damage)
6:58 if you look carefully the note 20 ultra looks more high def than the s21. the characters black skin is more pristine & has gloss than the s21's gameplay
I just bought me a Samsung galaxy s21 ultra as a second phone… and watch this video to make sure I didn’t make a mistake in my purchase when i saw the note has the more boxier design that I like… but looking at this video i have no regrets.. :) thanks.. and you’re cute by the way :) lol
I'm just getting the phone on Monday, so I'm new to it, but from what I understand is not with the stock pen that comes with the case. There is/was supposed to be a "Pro" version that I believe would allow you to do that, but I've never seen one so far. I'm assuming since it''s based off Wacom technology, I'm hoping my Lenovo Precision Pen will work with it. I believe you would need an active pen with BT support, and the stock one doesn't have that. That pen also works with the LG V60.
The last note I own is the 10 plus, but to be honest I love my S22 ultra and is the exynos version "I live in Europe ", I don't understand if I'm lucky whit all my Samsung phones or people are dumb and don't use the correct way!!! My s22 ultra is the best smartphone that exists until the S23 comes out, and I'm talking whit experience, because in my house there's a iphone 14 pro max ( my daughter won in a contest) and that crap can't do half of my S22 ultra does, and the S22 ultra is gorgeous compared to any junk made by apple!!!
@xfaster8958 Thank you. I can't lie! Is my personal opinion, but i don't judge others who like more iphones, xiaomi, oppo, LG, Motorola...etc. I love all my Samsung phones, but if one day Samsung disappointed me I switch to other brand 👍
