a52s battery is quite impressive. In the battery settings, there is an automatic disconnection of charging when it reaches 85% to reduce the battery bottle. Should limit overnight charging and remove the case, leather case when charging.
one thing wrong about this test and its brightness! Some phone at the max level is brighter than others. must test at the same nits. Thanks for making this video.
Bro, S20 Fe 5g and A52s 5g screen brightness is low compared to the others due to their display quality whereas S21 Fe, S21 & S21+ has dynamic amoled display.
My A52s 5g is the first time I haven't gone for a flagship model and I have no regrets, it is really fantastic. I got it on a good deal around New Year as well. I don't think I'll be rushing back to flagship models any time soon!
@@y2kcurran thanks. I was asking coz currently i am on iPhone 11 and planning on switching to android and selected s21 fe. As i am not sure if the performance of a mid range would be adequate. I do not play games. Just need good multitasking and cameras and displays
@@saptarshimozumdar1657 Have a look at the A52s reviews/comparison videos. Mid-range these days don't sacrifice very much, they are very capable devices often just without the premium materials (which don't matter if you use a case) or some of the gimmicky fancy tech. The camera on the A52s is superb, Samsung just seem to have held back the image stabilization from the highest resolution recording (either 4 or 8k recording), it's still very good though. Image stabilization is fine on other resolutions. I think the A52s is a bit of an outlier in the market, you get a lot of spec for the money. Anyway, shopping around for new tech is always fun, hope you get something that suits your needs!
Can a52s really last 7 hours? I'm planning to buy an a52s but I'm worried about the battery and on some forums I've read that the a52s doesn't have a great battery.
@@oreermanovic5036 i have 8+ hrs SOT on full LTE signal and about 10hrs on WIFI during 2 days of using : latest android 12 and oneui 4.0 -5g turned off -screen on 60hz -location off -bluetooth off -brightness on 33% -dark mode ON -all apps on IDLE except messeging ones (viber, whatsapp, messenger)
Previously I had S21, but I replaced it with A52s, and I can confirm A52s lasts longer. The main thing to consider is the IDLE BATTERY DRAIN, which the Exynos 2100 is still unable to control, it's better than the previous generations but not as good as the Snapdragon's. Also A52s can do 80% of what S21/FE does, so I think better to save some bucks for the S22 series 😊 😊
@Saptarshi Mozumdar 1. A52s is perfect for daily use. I don't do gaming, so can't say about gaming performance. For daily use, office and social apps works fine. 2. I didn't observe any lags. Maybe I don't do gaming. In normal day-to-day use, it's totally fine. 3. The S21 wasn't lasting me a day on a full charge. May be due to a smaller battery (4000mAh) or power-intensive CPU (Exynos 2100). The A52s lasts me easily a whole day with about 20% charge left on similar usage. The only significant thing I miss from S21 is the camera. Other than the camera it's almost the same.
@UmarTariq you have to take into account that the S21 has a smaller battery and the difference is not too big compared to the S21 + and A52s. I have both S21 and A52s .... the phones can't be compared. The S21 is a premium phone in terms of everything. If it also has 4500mAh, it would be far better in terms of battery life ... although it's still good. it's better than the S21fe which says the exynos 2100 does the job when it comes to energy control
SD 778 is really the best midrange chip ever! Its processing power is flagship level, perfect for non gamers.. even with no VRR, it still lasted longer than S21 plus! A52S will be my next phone
@Новица Марјановић take note I said processing.. not including gpu.. SD 778 has the same processing power as SD 860, not considering the GPU because 860 has a better GPU..
To be frank s21fe has quite good battery 6+ hrs is a good battery 120hz refresh rate with no adaptive refresh rate is one minus for the phone I guess if the phone had adaptive battery it would have Maxed upto 7hrs or more I hope Samsung fix with an update as for me the s21fe is the winner cos I own one 😅
You can do some changes in the bixby routines settings to save save battery by setting refresh rates for different apps. So the phone will be adaptive. I've done it to S20 plus and it saves a lot.
Thank you for the great video! Can you please make a battery drain test with those phones on standby? Usually Samsung phones after 1 or 2 major updates tent to drain fast ( no matter the clear cash partition or factory reset). The S20 FE is reported by a lot forums that can't last 1 day after android 12. I'm searching for a new phone and I am between S20 FE and S21 FE. Can you enlight me about their battery life in real life conditions? Meaning a lot of idle time. Thank you in advance. Jim

Can you create a video of a52s 5g at 60hz vs 120 Hz. Since it lacks an adaptive refresh rate mode, it would be very helpful to see how much the battery life differs. Kindly perform detailed video playback tests on RU-vid and mx player. I would suggest doing the video playback at 80% battery and at the end of the test. It'll allow to see the battery usage difference when the phone is cool and when it is hot. You should play light apps like Instagram, Chrome and TikTok etc at the beginning of the test, then the video playback and then the heavy usage. After it again video playback to see the difference. You can also use the other light weight apps again to see if there's any difference in their time as well, only if you wish. This represents the best use case scenario. Thank you!
@@steffenlze0178 if you look at 0:31 you'll find that S21 is set to adaptive refresh rate. It automatically switched to 60fps in the later part of the video.
I've been using my A52s for 11 months now i never encountered any problems or setbacks. It's been great but missing a telephoto cam. Now i bought S21+ @51% off w/ Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for free. I think it's a great upgrade from A52s because they are so close in terms of battery life and both have 4 years of updates.

This is crazy how the SD vs Exynos changes the outcome even if the phone has LTPO screen with variable refresh rate. Thos it doesnt go from 1-120 or 10-120, but like 40/60 - 120hz I think....?
SD 865 and 870 barely throttles. Really good SoCs. SD 888 throttles and heat up a lot. Only good phones with SD 888 are the Mi 11 Ultra and Gaming Phones.

If you have the screen on 60 hz, brightness on about 45 percent and energy saving mode, how long does it tgen last if u use it like for 7 hours screen kn time?
Sustained performance of the 778G ~= Peak performance. That's because it's a quite efficient chip, so the performance doesn't throttle at all. While the flagship phone use too much energy, overheat and have to throttle down the performance. As an example, for gaming the 778G has better real-world performance than the Exynos 2100.

The second problem, screen defaults to 120hz turn on powersaving mode and reduce screen to 60hz.. 95% of people cannot tell the difference and battery life is 50% better at lower hz
@@shivamngm S21 Fe will receive updates over time that will improve its battery life. It will probably surpass S21, considering it has a bigger battery and the same processor. It's about the software and updates.

I donot believe the test cuz a52s cannot hold 7hours with normal use . He using max light screen and location is also on and playing games ! It will died after 3.5 or max 4 hours
So S21 5G with smallest battery and worst processor on the planet almost came close to the best snapdragon processor the 865 in the S20 FE 5G which has a much larger 4500Mah battery?
All of these usually take 65 to 80 mins for a full charge using 25w official charger. I haven't got official 25w chargers for all these so I skipped the charging test. Maybe some other time.
Sorry, but I consider these type of tests useless. Most of them put a maximum stress on CPU and GPU which is not a typical use scenario. Not even close to it... Overnight stand-by, social media, some RU-vid, some browsing are much more close to real life use than running benchmark test or running PUBG.
I think something is fault in your s21 fe 5g as it gave less battery backup than the regular s21 5g which less mah battery I have seen in the other reviews as well that the phone has given 30 min more than the regular s21
Samsung and their garbage exynos...no wonder Qualcomm is now giving TSMC the manufacturing of the Snapdragon 8 gen 1...... Samsung has never figured out how properly manage heat with their high tier chipsets.....just garbage 🚮

Я преобретаю новый апарат смартфонов линейки самсунгов в первое неделя в игре показывают не плохой результат а месяц в игре Вар Роботс где прокачен ангар на глазах в игре 30 или 40 мин разряжается на 40 или того по более ,можно сказать пожирает на твоих глазах заряд акум ,так что это фильм бред ,согласен смотреть Ютуб и листать странички акум хорош ,но не для игр ,где игра онлайн ,нужно каждый день уделять время игре ,как то так ....
