@@PBKreviews Hi, i asked a question about what about if u put pin injektor in ABOVE micropfone hole? The one above the phone, i did it by accident, when i realized , sim slot isnt even there, but on the bottom. on my S22+. Can u please conform, that as u said in video, mic hole on top of the phone has same protection as on below?? thanks u for the anser.
Oh my, I had accidentally inserted the SIM pin into the wrong hole and came here to check if I could have damaged anything. To my surprise you address exactly this in 6:42 ! Thank you!
Great work man i really appreciate the effort you put in so earlier before anyone else and have guts to disassemble the screen n bear the damage hats off to you Nice job of putting music in the end . Thanks for awesome video
@@PBKreviews no thank you I repair phones for quite some years now for myself to make a little side money and watching your videos before I tear apart a phone I never did before or someone wants a price on repairing 1 I look at your videos first so I know what I'm up against.
Good video. I'd like to see a test with the standard S22 and the fps indicator on RU-vid, Netflix, HBO GO and when nothing on display is moving to check if they optimize display refresh rate and what is the real minimum refresh rate. You can find that option it in the developer settings.
Thanks, I tested that for someone and lowest it would go on S22 and the Ultra was 24. Not sure if its something they will enable via software update for it to go lower on the ultra.
If you go into any store that has them on display you can test them out yourself. That's exactly what I did at best buy, I went into Dev settings and enabled show refresh rate and the lowest i saw that it went was 24hz. I didn't see it drop below that but I also didn't test it out in every app. 24hz is still pretty low and should save plenty of battery since it switches very fast after interacting with the screen.
Just watched this video because I wanted to know if I messed up something for entering the sim pin in the wrong hole, you just got my thumbs up for specifying that I didn't mess up my phone 😅
niiiiiiiice thank you so much!!! i also was wondering about haptic motor's location on S22 disassembly video and i'm really glad that you mentioned it here thank you so much
Hi man, thank you for this awesome video. May I know what you think about Samsung S22+ heat solution? I'm planning to buy this one but really worry about heat from Snap 8 gen 1. Thank you.
Thank you for this. Not sure how hard it's going to be for a newbie but I'm thinking of replacing charging port/simtray. My sim card won't work and I can't afford another phone since I'm still paying this one off. Any good links for a replacement?
You're welcome. Shouldn't be too difficult. Just follow the video and skip any steps you don't need to do (like removing the motherboard). Here is a link for the replacement parts, scroll down you will see the sub board/charger port boards. Just make sure to order the correct one for your model phone. Since different model number/region versions will have different antenna contacts. www.mobilesentrix.com/replacement-parts/samsung/galaxy-s-series/galaxy-s22-plus
I want to ask you a question, since Samsung ditched the 3D ToF sensor for the rear camera, the question is how important is the 3D ToF sensor for photographic results? And is it a good idea for Samsung to ditch that sensor?, Even though the iPhone has a lidar sensor, but I'm happy because there is still a microphone beside the rear camera.
Today the 3D ToF sensor has no sense at all, because basically it's just a very low quality camera (2 mpix or even less). We already have another much much better cameras on the back of the phone: the ultrawide and telephoto, that will help the main sensor even better than very cheap sensor dedicated only for this. Lidar is another story, it's just faster than using other cameras to calculate the distance, that's why it's still on the back of the iPhone. TLDR: there are better options and ToF sensor are typical for cheap phones just to bump up the numer of camera modules to appear to be more premium.
I am looking for the flex cable that goes to the 5g antenna same side as the volume keys and nobody seems to have it can you point me in a direction of getting 1 ? the part number is DP2515BH + also what is written on the cable is SM-906U MMV V REVD.7 Please and thank you
So I have the s22+ and with a lens protector on it makes the speakers crackle when the temp changes. So I took off the protector and it's fine now. Some say that the bottom lens let's air escape. My question is how.
Does anybody know where to find a replacement screen for the new Samsung models? Preferably the S22+. Is it too early? Does Samsung offer to sell parts?
great video bro. i am in search of a galaxy s22 plus screen as well but the only ones i keep finding have the letter "E" in the top right corner. the one in your video and mine are the same with the letter "N"in the top right next to the tiny barcode. can you tell me where i can buy one ?
Hi guys. What's up? From what I understood in this video, there's a third mic, close to the flash LED. What's the purpose of that? Googled it, but haven't found an answer. Thanks and, btw, great job!
Nice video! But, Why in-display fingerprint sensor is different from s22 ultra ? In s22 ultra, the sensor is much bigger. I think samsung uses first gen sensor in s22 plus, am I right ?
Hi. This is the best dissasembly video from s22 series. I accidently poke with sim ejektor the hole that is in the top of the phone s22 plus. Can u tell me if there is no option for me to poke waterproofing and mic damage with. I was so exited with new phone i poke the hole on top where there even isnt location of the sim card slot. Thank u for the answer??
I dropped my Galaxy s 22 on the street. It fell off my truck bumper. I found it damaged. It had a case protector like a booklet. But it was still damaged. Is there any way to retrieve the pictures? Can it be taken apart and transplanted into another s22. So I can get the pictures? Please, I need your help
Weird how Samsung only marketed the vapor chamber cooling system for the S22U when the S22+ uses it too. Do you know what cooling system the 3 S21 models last year used?
Hai, im just curious... if i accidentally poked up the microphone hole using sim ejector pin, what and where's the sim ejector pin actually hit up? Since the microphone and the gasket is actually located above the hole? Thanks in advance for your answers!
Is that why there's a weird oval divot on the side rail of the phone, for the 5g antenna? I kept pushing it thinking it would pop out some kind of tray 😂 - usually they're just lines on the side rails.
Hi, I have an S22 Plus, is it normal that at medium brightness (20/40%), with gray backgrounds, I can see the halo of the proximity sensor even when not in use? I have two circles right next to that proximity sensor. Let's say that you only notice if you are in low light conditions and only with dark colors such as grays.
Just use a hair dryer and evenly apply heat so its hot to the touch. You don't need to do it for too long, since you can always apply more heat while your working you're way prying the back off. You can also use a suction cup tool to help you lift up on one corner or side to get a pry tool in.
Yep, need to be more careful on working screens but some of these have such strong adhesive so most other tools are hard to use to pry it off. But if the screen was broken, then would have been much easier to just rip it off with other tools :)
well people replacing a screen are not replacing a working screen, I gave the score based on the ease of doing a replacement screen repair. Since you can just pry the screen off from the front without having to take the rest of the phone apart, it saves time and is easier to do. Also a broken screen you don't care about damaging it more so you don't really need to be careful with it and can just pry the thing off even if it breaks or damages more etc. Hope this explains it.
after you take apart the phone and have access to it, it has some glue around the camera holding it in place. You would need to use a sharp razor blade or knife to cut the glue and pull out the camera.
Who is watching this video after pushing the sim injection pin in the microphone to see if it was damaged? 🤣 Btw, huge thanks for explaining this as I was worried, now I can sleep in peace 😁
when I put it back together again leave it as it was mobile the camera stopped working it says camera failed I just had to reboot it to safe mode and then start it normally, but it is strange that it was not fixed with hard reset and with safe mode if it was fixed, it is surprising.
