The easiest way to test is to open the camera app and take an 8K 30 fps video. The fake phone will not be able to do it or will have a video that look like shit.
Ican only do 24 fps on 8k is my phone fake I'm scared and sometimes when I want to download a certain app instal on more devices and there are 2 options this device and redmi 8
@amirmahdibahrani9701 I wish someone would answer your question, did you ever get to the bottom of if it was fake or not? I heard checking if it's 234g or not is another way to know
I never understood this stupid advice to compare the imei the phone is displaying and the imei on the box. Don't you think the manufacturers that produce these fake phones can print the box or a label on the box so that the imei is the same as the phone is displaying? 🤨Like how silly of a check is this.
True, but on that imei number every number have own meaning. Im not sure 7th or 8th number shows where telephone is produced. You can google it and than all make sense.
Agree. The fake phones even have legit imei. There's a video when a guy review a fake Samsung s23 ultra. The guy used samsung website to check for the imei, it came back clean. The only way to tell it's fake is to use it. It's lag as hell. And check the CPU
Your knowledge is behind my friend. IMEI numbers NO longer work to effectively verify a genuine Samsung. They scam artists use a switcher software to emulate real Samsung IMEI numbers they also use stollen samsung IMEI numbers. The switcher software also emulates the Samsung hardware test. So my friend you need to update your knowledge.
@@ShahidKhan-uw2ix There's embedded hardware 'ID's' inside those phones - that you can NOT manipulate. So yes, you most certainly CAN tell genuine from fake...lol (dev speaking) ;)
You should have mentioned that this (or any other) code will not work if Auto Blocker is turned on. And it is turned on by default. So you can confuse many people into believing their devices are fake. If you want to check for real, first thing you should do is turn off Auto Blocker in phone settings.
You really did help a lot by posting this . As new updates on galaxy by default have autoblocker on. And people do believe phone to be fake. As no code works with it being ON
For certain individuals, it appears that the Samsung S23 might not display the version when attempting #0# for General test mode. Instead, only hardware test options like color and vibration checks are visible. It's possible that Samsung altered the code for displaying the version, or there may be regional variations; I'm not entirely sure. But, it was the case for me, I performed all the geek bench tests and compared scores, and all the Benchmarks came out as usual. So, If you're unable to see the version using the first code, you can try *#1234# to check the Model and version numbers.
@@green7759 yeap. I search for the codes and it shows that is the same phone i have. So everything ok. Thanks for your lighting response. The weird this is this *#0*# is not showing anything
Hi buddy. One person in the comment section said that when you dial *#0*# and if it does not show the "version" option that means our phone is fake but when i dial *#1234# i can see the version. So is my phone real or fake?@@green7759
I got scammed for one today. Should've known it was too good to be true. Frickin thing was running a damn mediatek cpu lol. The craziest thing though is that the imei number actually checked out. These scammers are getting good.
@@mbiason394 I installed cpu-z on it. It will identify the phones hardware. Be aware though you will need to have a Google account signed in to be able to download it from play market. I would not use your main account to do so. These scam phones could have malware. I made a new Google account and I connected to a different network than my home network to do everything. Also these phones could be running a very old version of Android so you may have to do download a similar app other than cpu-z to check it. Hope this helps.
I didn't even know there were fake S series phones out there, it just seemed like something too complicated to be worth trying to fake. I can understand stuff like fake Ray-Bans, which are a simple item to begin with. I'm glad I got my S23 directly from Samsung, it's no doubt the real deal.
Exactly I was looking for this question... Yesterday only it happened to my phone and J am worry about whether they used original screen or local one.😢
Another way that you can tell if your phone is real or a fake is that a real Galaxy S23 has its IMEI number laser etched into the back side of the phone.
i am using galaxy s23. and i have bought it before 3 months, now my display is broken at bottom edge. i am going to give my mobile in samsung showroom. now i wanted to know whether they wont change anything on my mobile or not, like they might be changing duplicate battery. bcos in south india its common, no showroom is genuine in servicing. so can you pls give me hint how to check battery originality status after getting from service, thanks all in advance
THE FIRST ONE = YES I CAM SEE THE IMEI NUMBER: SECON OPTIONS (YOUR DESCRIPTION IS WRONG?) I FIND THE "VERSION" BUT SHOWS ME DIFFERENT THINGS. IS NOT LIKE YOUR AND NOTHING OF MODEL NUMBER. SO I WILL KEEP "YES ITS REAL ONE" Not sure if i make mistakes buying this on Facebook Marketplace: the seller looks like deleted or block me after purchase this phone: so have a bad feeling about it... 😱😱😱😱

Sr if I buy my cellphone here in Philippines can I dial the code number to be able to know if thats real or fake my sim is registered in Philippines I hope you notice thanks
The real reason im yting if my phone is fake is because the screen size is not 6.8 inches after the black border its only 6 and a quarter inch display wtf!
the second method did NOT show the version section available, i believe its FAKE, but the first method works and the only numbers are different between the box and the s23 ultra are EID LOOOOONG SET of numbers on the box and short set of the MEID numbers on the phone,,, this version i have i heard a lot of great reviews but they don't understand that its a replica and NOT everything is included like, wireless charging, fingerprint, system software update and esim are NOT available anywhere on this phone and im looking to TRY to see if i CAN get the IMEI numbers UNLOCKED from whatever 5 accounts its tied to in order for me to activate this phone to metro pcs account!!
You have tried wireless charging the phone? Could you also try reverse wireless charging (charing another phone using your phone, has to be turned on first). I bought myself an S23+ and im still trying to determine whether It is fake or not.
Hey thanks for the video. I bought Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra on Facebook new and I didn't know anything about that there was such a thing as a fake Galaxy phone and now I have one and I feel so stupid and angry the person is gone can't find her on Facebook or anywhere. So I'm wondering are these phones completely worthless or do have any value so I could at least get some money back?
@@aruesatoand if the phone itself it's not laggy. If it is on 120hz, then it will be smoother than butter. If it's 60hz, it will be slower, but I bet it's not just as laggy as the fake ones are. Like, even if it's set up on 60hz (battery economy settings), the apps are going to load in less than a second, or in a second itself. Check if the phone can play a RU-vid vídeo with 2k or 4k quality without breaking a sweat.
