Try using a 5amp/100w cable. I've got an old 45w charger, and the latest Samsung 45w both charge my s23 ultra from 5% to 100 in under 50 minutes. If I use the cable that came with the phone, it's around 65 minutes! This is because the one in the box isn't 5 amp, which is ridiculous considering the price of the phone.
I've now discovered that the old 45 charger will supper fast charge with a standard cable! The latest 45w charger will only do super fast 2 with a cable marked as 5 amp or 100w. I have connected an unmarked cable to my s23 ultra and switched the other end from old to new. One does 45w (old) new one 25w. I repeated this with a marked 5 amp cable, and both did super fast 2
There is clearly a misunderstanding here. I saw 2 problem. 1. You should have turned the phone on to confirm that the phone writes Fast Charging 2.0 (45W), and not just Fast Charging (25W) 2. The cable that comes with the S23 series cannot do 45W, USB is still a messed-up standard The 45W should be faster by about 5 - 10 minutes, so I agree that it's not worth the extra wattage and cost

Of course it's charging at 45w (2.0) can't you see the colour of the charging symbol. It's Cyan if it was slow charging and ntl 2.0 it would be in green and not in Cyan colour
@@shafwanbayal3480There are 3 different colors though... There is Fast Charging which is 15-20 Watts which is green. There is Super fast charging which is 25W which is Turquoise. And then there is 45W which is Fast Charging 2.0 and a darker blue.
Exactly because the 45 watt would over heat the cable building up the resistance. These new charger have over current protection. So it would throttle the speed to save the cable. So I agree.
I've just had my 45w charger turn up for my Galaxy S23 ultra, I was using my 25w from the note 10+. When I swap the cable between the 25w and 45w, the charge time is identical, around a minute per %. Both are official chargers..... You can't compare different models with different mah batteries, using two S23's would have made more sense.

I still used the regular fast charger from the s10 and I am fine waiting another 15 minutes to fully charged. Now that the s23 ultra battery last longer, I decide to charge it to 85 percent to preserve battery health. Last me through out the day.
I have S23 ultra and I have 25w and 45w charger. Base on my observation, 45w have the same performance of w25 charger,, I feel I was scammed by buying a 45w charger 😢. Just a tip, never buy a 45w, just stick 25w, so you wont waste your money 😢
Did you use 5A cable? Shipped with the S23 Ultra cable is 3A, so it will not charge the phone with full speed. I got mine S23 Ultra charge under one hour with it.
I use the 45W charger for my S23 Ultra and it takes about 50-55 minutes for the full charge. But it depends, if you're not in a hurry, you should turn fast charging off and protect your battery for the long run. With fast charging off, it takes about 2 hours and 5 or 10 minutes
There's 2 different Samsung branded 45w bricks. EP-TA845XBEGUS & EP-T4510XBEGUS. The 1st is from 2019 & no better than a 25w brick which is the one you're using. The T4510 is the current version released in 2022 and will charge 0-100 in under 35 minutes. You might want to make revisions and emend your video
Very helpful information. Just got my S23 Ultra and they do not come with the charging brick and I was wondering if you go over the 25 watt requirement if that would help the charging or harm the device in the long run. I will definitely stick with the 25 watt charger.
I am having s23 it doesn't take more than a hour maybe he didn't buy the cable for 45 watt and the charger is provided buy Samsung so it may not. Be harmful
First of all the phones need to be on in order to make sure it gets the super fast charging 2.0 (45w) also if you're using the cable that came in the box it is not rated for 5 amps like you need
45 watt is not worth the hype, I got the 25W without cable as cable was already provided in the box, but with 45W you have to pay extra for cable as well as charger as out of the box cable is of no use for 45 Watt. I don't understand why would one pay 3 times more the price for something non practical.
I have the S23 Ultra, I bought a 65W charger, and a 100W usb-c cable with an LED readout that shows how many watts of power are going through it. When I use the charger and cable on my laptop, I see throughput of 45-50W (max for the usb-c port), but on the S23 Ultra, I never see more than 28-29W. I really think the 45W claim is bogus.
Don't use the cable from the box it can not charge on the proper speed samsung not even the 5A cable didn't gave in the box. Although I can see from the thickness that this is not a 5A cable... maybe you didn't see it and thought that samsung gave a 5A cable but is not. Use a proper 5A cable and the 45w charger and repeat the test my friend.
i noticed that you used the same size of type C cables for both the chargers. To support 45W charging, the cable used must be 5A type, slightly bigger than the usual 3A type.
You've carried out the test incorrectly or have a defective unit. The 45Watt charger definitely show a lead in charging speed overall, and especially during the 0-80%. The last part of the charging is done via trickle charge technology, so charging slows down, this is done to preserve battery. If you have done the test incorrectly: 1. You have used a 45Watt or more charging brick, but have not used a 45Watt capable cable. For example my charger came with a 100Watt capable cable, so i did not have to worry about not charging at full speed. So is the faster charging speed useful, from my own use case and probably most peoples, yes it is useful. This is because alot of us wait for the battery to reach 80 ish % before using, or will quickly get some charge in before going somewhere when phone is on 10 to 30%. In this range of starting times for the charging, the 45 Watt charger will fill your battery up faster, so for real life use, yes it is faster.
I still use the original charger that came with my Samsung note 20 ultra to charge my Smasung S22 ultra and I can say that the charging experience is bomb 💣...sometimes I even get scared if my battery is not good because of the charging speed
I have Black Shark and it's charge in 20 mins. And then it prevents further charging... Yet S23 is better in all test. 1 hour of charging is not that big problem
you should ahave switched the chargers to see if it is actually the chargers or the architecture of the phones that have the difference in charging speed
bro you cant compare different generations of phones to test charging speed, they are completely different with different systems. Gotta use 2 of the same phone if you want an accurate comparison test.

My phone charges to 100% in 30 or so minutes with the 45w charger. When I use the 25w, my phone needs at least 2 hours to charge to over 70%. Also, the phones in your video aren't even the same.
No scientific method. Didn't use the same phone. Use the phone a year older. Battery degradation is definitely real especially after one year of charging. A older phone should charge up quicker if it has less battery cells to charge 😂. I can't even I'll just hush. This helped somebody 😢.
Your Cable could be the Problem. I´ve read that you need an 5A Cable! if you just buy the 45W Charger and use the Cable of the 25W Charger or any other under 5A Compatibilaty the Charger dont Unlock the 45W.
Yea man but s23 ultra bigger battery on my test its minimal over 5000mah claimed not 4855mah. The model battery its different then s22ultra, sorry for my english :D i use multimeter for measure :)
I'm pretty sure they are both 5000mah. The 4855mah Is the guaranteed minimum from samsung. When they tested their batteries the average was 5,000mah meaning some may go as low as 4855 but some may be higher like 5200 so it makes the average of 5,000

I confirm that. i have the trio charger original from Samsung. i have the same charging speed on my S23 Ultra even if I plug in to the 65W output or the 25W output. That was a waist of money.

Lol that's like saying a 2 liters is smaller than a 500ml bottle. Common sense tells you that you do not have the right set up for the 45 watt charger. I got the 45 watt charger that comes with a very thick cable verse my 25 watt very thin in the hand. They charge differently 45 watt definitely a must get if you want super fast charging.

I always charge to 100% and I don't let my batter drop past 20%. Thing is, do not let it keep charging past 100%. It will deplete your battery life itself. Damage it
Bro this your test is weird, I just watch some one used a 45 watts ankor fast charge and it good to 100 percent in 45 minutes so I don't get what you use for ur tests 😒😒😒
You don’t have to say the full name every time, it gets confusing. The S22 has an older battery so it’s worn out and holds less of a charge. This test is a big FAIL
