Apple people don't like hearing that their are better phones than the 14 pm . AS a owner of the 14 pm since I've been using the s23 ultra the 14 pm sits collecting dust . Both phones are excellent I prefer the feel of the s23 ultra
My 13 pro which is my first iPhone, is having white screen right now after just 14 months of use and i have used many Samsung phones in the past with 0 issues. I'm considering to switch to S23+
I mean it’s the new hotness 😂 of course it’ll be better. I have the S22+ and it’s been collecting dust since I got the 14PM. Once I get the S23+ or S23U the iPhone will collect dust, then once the iPhone 15 Pro Max comes out the S23U will collect dust; it’s just a cycle
Switched over for a week now on my S23 Ultra and it has been flawless, a real home run for Samsung. The processing speed and outright battery life are highlights, since I don't use the camera as often. I've started to use S pen for my day to day work and it has been a huge benefit instead of using paper and notes as I've done before. Yes the S23 Ultra is pricey but damn is it a quality product.
@@mihaicostel5883 sadly not. I use a regular screen protector since my Spigen Tough Armor case does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to phone protection.
anyone could verify if camera lens has victus on it? i dont know if i need to put camera ring protector or any tempered glass cause if i did there would be a limit to what cases would fit the camera protector. just like on samsung silicon case it doesnt fit if theres a ring or thin glass
Why is it that the S22U photos is more pleasing to me than the S23U in this review? It has more and better details in darker areas than the S23U and it has richer colors too that i like. The only difference i see here is that the S23U has more detail in lighter areas of the photos, its like they tuned it to be more brighter and thats it? S23U better in light details it crashes darker details, S22U better in darker details and a little bit over exposed in light details comparing with S23U. Correct me if im wrong with this review.
Still keep your s20 ultra and use it as a media player/tablet. Its still the biggest screen samsung ever made on a phone. I own both the s23 ultra and the s20 ultra definitely work upgrade when it comes to battery life
Incoming nitpicking comment: This phone is just tøø bííííġ it's ħèávýýýý no ħeaðpħońe jååååck Yes I am kidding. Although yeah, a lot of people are quite sick of 6" phones.
The note was my favorite phone ever. When I upgraded away from the Note 9 I always felt I was missing something. I can't wait for my S23 ultra to come in.
I feel bad for people that don't use the s pen or understand how amazing it is to be able to perform the actions it does on a phone. Simply amazing and life altering. I'll never leave the s pen after having 1.
You've forgotten one of the main features for the users outside the USA. S23 ultra offers a snapdragon chipset for customers all over the world, not that ridiculous Exynos anymore
I ordered this phone from Samsung UK website for £831. Hope it delivers what it promise, because I went this time for the specs and long battery life. My Galaxy S20 FE 5G was good, but it was noticeably degrading in terms of battery and couldn't handle well multi-tasking with certain apps I use.
Brilliant review as always . I’m looking to upgrade to the S23 from an iPhone 11. Just trying to work out if the extra price for the ultra worth it over the s23 plus though…?
I will be honest, I was not going to upgrade to the s23 ultra from the s22 ultra but to be honest its been worth it so far. I really like it although design didn't change but battery life is significantly better and performance i can see is more snappier. Cameras of course are always the best from Samsung. Cheers!
Hello! S22 ultra owner here, I need to ask you, do you have a snapdragon or an exynos model? And one more question, do you have/ noticed problem with low details in photos from the main cam app?
That snow mountain shot looks better on the s22, with darker shadows and deeper blacks. The s23 looks a little washed out. He said it's brighter on the s23, he should have said washed out.
Is it me or the majority of people that either don't have the s23 ultra or pre ordered the phone have this hate towards the phone ? The phone is pretty darn awesome. My 14pm is collecting dust
I think most of the hate is from pixel and I phone fans jealous I guess a lot of people lie and say they got the phone and hated it sent it back got an I phone 14 pro max 😂
Most people like it, and for £1400 it should be a great phone. However, most of us are not falling for the hype and see it as a refinement of the S22U (SD8G1) rather than Samsung Knights OTT hyperbolic comments that it is from the future and a revolution; that it is not.
@amfrepo my take is just this . They took last year's phone and made changes to a phone that should have been . S22 is still capable if you have one. Keep it . Does the s23 have upgrades to it for someone with a s22 ultra that warrants an upgrade? I think so if your a heavy phone user .
Note: Verizon informed me today that my Note 10+5G is incompatible with thier Nationwide 5G coverage and only compatible with thier ultra wide mid band of 5G. They will be providing me with this model as a replacement. So if you have the same issue with your note 10+5G never connecting to 5G, that's why.
Kind of wish you showed moving examples for the photos. Biggest problem with Samsung in the last few generations is taking pictures of kids/dog. It's way worse than iphone/pixel and reviewers need to call it out or it will never be fixed.
So they got rid of the 100x zoom?? That helps with seeing things from far away haha also was useful at my job seeing stuff from the 3rd tier racks without bringing it down 😂
The picture quality is definitely a step up from the fold 3 but not sure if it's hardware limitation or software that requires optimizing, but shutter lag is definitely worst than the fold3 and autofocus is slower with the laser photo focus than the dual pixel af on the fold 3 and can be buggy when camera app first launch up, it can be out of focus and refuse to change focus automatically and use have to press on screen to engage af, causing further delays
And the headphone jack, and all the accessories you no longer get with the phone, the word Ultra or flagship these days are very hollow compared to days in the past , i still have my note 9 too , it makes all these new phones look like poverty models in a lot of ways. I understand completely.
Half the reason to own it is invalidated when the camera isn't really worth a damn and basically only capable of taking photos under certain conditions. I mean, what is the purpose of a forced 3 second shutter delay, making most photo opportunities in possible? I suppose samsung thinks we should only take pictures of things that are perfectly stationary?
I wouldn't mind if it was something you could disable. But so far, it seems that it's not the case. I've gone through all the Camera settings that I can find. And I don't see any way to disable the ridiculous shudder delay. Ready to return my phone purely For that reason, who cares how nice the operating system is when they do stupid things like that? It makes me worry. What else I get to Be surprised with? If they figured something like that was a good idea?
Thank You gsmarena to not overhype this phone like others and putting forth the points in a regular manner.. Also a big thanks for pointing out that S23 Ultra Display lacks 10 Bit Color Profile and is still stuck with the archaic 16.7 Million 8 Bit boring colors to play with!!.. Even phones that cost 1/5th of S23 Ultra offer awesome features like 10 Bit Color palette & Dolby Vision Support!!.. A big 👎👎👎 for Samsung display esp considering the attrocious pricing!
Where's DEX? Multi-windows, multi-tasking? The S23 Ultra offers soooo much more usability and productivity options compared to iphones. DEX is ginormous underrated.
Upgraded from Iphone XS to Galaxy Note 20 ultra in 2021, the note phones simply feel superior. S23 ultra looks amazing too but I will wait for s25 ultra as it's out of my league currently, besides Note 20u is bomb. The note design is just superior to any phone in this planet.
@@LOGANTv-yb6hp for me it's the most important thing in a phone, the s22 ultra gor me 7 hours of SoT max, the s23 ultra is giving me above 10 hours 😍 which for a Samsung is very good. I am usually a Samsung hater, but this years is the first time that I'm not disappointed after buying a Samsung flaghip 😂
Ihave the S23 Ultra since the 4 of February and so far the experience has been top notch no app crash no slow downs when browsing the webb great camera performance and amzing batterylife and best of all the sd 8gen 2 makes a hug improvement and does it jobb .
@@AkerfeldtTveitan-yi4xm I dont have the S 23 Ultra anymore i trade it in in favour of the S24 Ultra . But the S23 Ultra was a great phone what i miss is spezially the 10 optical zome range when you comaire it with 5 x optical zome from my now S24 Ultra i would say that the S23 Ultra does here a much better job also the batteeylife i was somehow abit better on the S23 Ultra and all the other stuff was just the same in the camera department they are equal . That what was not so good was the sligthly curved screen on the S23 Ultra but that i guess is a matter of personal test . The batterylife on the S24 Ultra was very good in the first 2 month but after so many updates the batterylife is nt anymore so good and that camera app which samsung has promise is not their yet . I hope samsung fixe the camera isues and the batterylife . And if the phone will survive 7 years of updates i have my doubts . If the S23 Ultra would have hade a flat screen i would not have trade it in . Dont get me wrong the S24 Ultra is a great phone . But people who still have the S23 Ultra i would say dont upgrade the S23 Ultra is a great device and itt is alot cheaper then S24 Ultra and the S25 Ultra ya the price of this phone will be sky high .
I have s22 ultra and this is just a very minor upgrade. I think samsung must have put some more effort to atleast change the design. This is just complacency. Nobody must forget the fate of nokia
I upgraded from my S8+ (still working fine almost 5 years).. and the S23 ultra is superb.. only the size is little big.. from next flagship Samsung should release the ultra model with small size like the s23..
I got my unlocked S23 Ultra yesterday and when i went to AT&T today to activate it they are saying the phone is not compatible with their network. Anyone else run into this issue?
The latest update is burning my phone up. I thought about not updating it at first but then I'm like why not maybe the updates don't burn your phone up like they use to. Before the update I could use my phone and it was OK didn't heat up or nothing no problem now after the update you can't hold the phone for not even a minute before it heats up like a skillet
Can anyone help I just got the samsung s23 ultra and insagram stories and post from other people looks terrible videos look pixelated is this normal???? Anyone else going threw this
I have been wanting to upgrade my Ultra 20 Note to 23 only for the camera. However, the photo comparison you displayed convinced me not to, since I found the portriat in the coffee shop not as detailed as the 22 and the lighting as good. Of course, I am on a world tour for the past 10 months and I have been very pleased with my pictures but am not too happy about the sharpness. Also, I am not happy that I won't be able to replace the Sim card since in some countries you must. Well, I can wait another year.
I've got an S22 Ultra and there's really nothing wrong with it. Looking up reviews for the S23 Ultra was a mistake because now I've caused myself FOMO.
Sure * I can't afford iPhone Samsung it's np they can have my money and for iPhone 14 I would say 199 will be a great price spot where it's belong and that price in Turkey in state for 149.50 USD that's all folks
I seen many 23 Ultra vids and in the botton right has a flaw... Like a very small melt in the bottom right corner... Have you heard of this , And is yours defective? You have to rock it slowly back and forth slowly and you will see a tiny melted spot if you buy a new one off the shelf.. People like you that get them directly from Samsung seem fine ... BUT the regs buying off the shelf have a small defect... What do you thinh and have you heard of this?
Samsung is finally on to something Great with the Ultra series... I just wish the Next version gets the Variable aperture like the s9 for the Main camera with 1 inch type sensor and double Variable zoom cameras 1st the 3x to 5-9-10x zoom Second the 10x to 15-18-20x !! Plus Upgrade the Zoom cameras to bigger sensors and Atleast 12 to 16 - 18mp camera (for low light) .... It would Kill the Market !!!👍👍🤝🤝🤝👏👏💪💪💪
Battery life is most noticeable improvement. Apart from that main sensor really takes good photos, selfie cam is great too. Rest are probably similar quality. Speakers are pretty decent as well
wow you're trying so hard to defend samsung. proves its not the best phone. oh and coming from s23 ultra user myself. so don't call me a crapple fan as a comeback because I just made it irrelevant
