Yeah $0.50 is a bit cheap but you're close, could be a few dollars. I recently saw S22 Ultra cases going for $5 at some stores so those might be getting dumped to break even
You can get them for like $10 opened box. And I only see Samsung Cases that $50 are like the tough ones and the ones that have features. And people spend like $90 on cases from Otterbox and Apple. I always get Samsung stuff very cheap even if it is newest or oldest.
I just came back from a Southeast Asia country and man I found so cheap cases, same material, same Made in China. And here in the U.S they sell you for $30 $40 $50
Be warned about the leather Case quality. I own it for only 2 days and already have several pressure marks on the back of the case that wont go away anymore. After 2 Days imagine that. Also it is very hard to get out the S Pen.
Amazing! That first clear case at $25.00 once upon a time was included in the box with the phone at no extra cost. Now, as with the charger and earphones, it's an extra. As Tom Petty remarked many years ago, " the boys upstairs ( at Samsung & Apple ) want to know how much you'd pay for what you used to get for free!
I have the clear case and that thing is very difficult to remove... I haven't been able to remove the case ever since I placed the phone in it a week ago 😂
@@mhy-ln6fc yes I did... the case is too tight, I can't really lift up the part that needs to be lifted.. I just tried it now and I still can't, my thumbs now hurt lol 😒😑
I watched a video that addressed this issue and found that the camera bezels are just slightly different, enough though that, no they're not interchangeable 😮😢.
I got the silicone grip case. I've been using it for a week now and I love it! Only drawback is putting it back into the pocket but other than that I love it
@@gildonge I am a very small guy with tinny hands and still slightly manage to hold the strap while on my right hand. But the main advantage for me is using it while taking pictures because it helps holding my hand more steady. I am also slightly paranoid of just holding my phone while filming or taking pics ever since someone stole my Galaxy S7 Edge right off my bare hands in Paris, so this makes me feel "safer"
I started off with using the wallet case, eventually I just had enough of it and bought the leather case, great choice in the end. Slips way easier in and out of work pants.
Nice! Still rocking the leather case? Im thinking of getting rid of my kinda bulky spigen rugged armor case. And buying the official leather case. Owned the phone for like a month. Now i feel that i prefer a slim design case. This spigen case adds a lots of weight.
I got both the Clear Case and the Clear Gadget Case. Both seem very flimsy as there is literaly no protection on the bottom of the phone except at the corners. Charging port, speaker and sim card tray are not covered at all (same as Clear Case). No raised support around the cameras either. In addition, with the Gadget Case, the phone does not lay flat on a flat surface but rocks. The gadget handle is only minimally useful. I ordered an ESR Kickstand Case from Amazon instead. To my surprise, however, it was almost impossible to remove the Gadget Case from my phone. I had to pry it off with a letter opener covered with a thin cloth to protect the phone. I broke several fingernails and have scratches on my hand as a result. Finally got it off and trying to figure out how to give it away as I doubt if Samsung will take it back.
Damn! Mine is coming tomorrow. I just came here after reading the reviews on tht case on the Samsung official website. 1.9 total score so far, and everyone keeps talking about how it was nearly impossible to take it off the case. So yea, I'll be returning and not even attempting to use after your review. That sucks about the case ❤️
waiting 2 more days for my reward points to come for the purchase of s23 ultra, and im odering black leather case. What a great phone s23U is. Im in love
They gave me that clear one with the detachable bit for free with my pre-order, which was nice. I looked it up and apparently it goes for €59. I wouldn't pay €20 for it.
I hate wallet cases since they flip to the back and close the camera when using the main camera. But the square box there if you flip it to the back does it fit the camera nicely?
Tried (and sent back) the Clear View book case as my S23 ultra didn't wirelessly charge anymore in my Tesla (it did charge on my charging pad which is more flat and is not size limited as Tesla's is). Now ordered the leather case. If it also doesn't charge in the car, I'll let y'all know..
the stand one sucks as it sticks way out and would rock if just sitting on table? for a phone people are gonna watch vids on Samsung way missed it here. i ordered 2 from that big delivery company... and both have kickstands that dont stick way out one is Spigen clear, kickstand that dont rock when flat &19.99 before 5% coupon! and the other a Torras - clear, kickstand that dont rock when flat, 10ft drop height for under $27 and i bet both are way cheaper than any of the Samsung cases!
P.S have been using a TORRAS Case on s21 ultra for 2 yrs and i have dropped it many times and never once was phone damaged and case looks great too! CLEAR,KICKSTAND that dont rock when flat, and cheaper than Samsung by half
I'm a Samsung user but do like the MagSafe design of Apple. Hope Samsung will come up with something similar, at least on their case lineup. I do miss the rugged series with the kickstand thou. That was my to-go case before
Check Spigen out they have one and also offer accessories you can use with the case. Flossy Carter has a great video showing the Spigen case line up for the new S23 Ultra.
Hate the gadget case, wobbles way to much on table and blocks wireless charging. I will be returning it and looking for something like the Galaxy S21 FE 5G Clear Standing Cover I had with my previous phone.
dunno what other say, s22 ultra is built like a nokia, dropped it 2 times on hard concrete without a case, just dents in the frame. s23 ultra feels a lot heavier tho
Picked up the Leather case, always have since the Note 20 Ultra, wish I did for the Note 9 and Note 10+ but loved the Aurora on the 10+ so got a clear Speck case instead for it.
This was interesting as I have just bought an S23 Ultra but I haven't get the case yet. The reviews are rather uncritical, for example on some cases the commentary says the S pen access is easy but pictures seemed to tell a different story. With my previous Samsung phones I have gone for the flip covers, like on my S20 Plus but the flip case for the S23 seems to be a far inferior product. No magnet to keep the case closed and to wake up the phone when the case is opened, and instead of a clear screen in the flip cover there is just a hole! At 10.30 in this video Shane says something like "Most of the screen is protected", Most?? That's like having someone in to make your house secure and when he presents the bill he tells you 'I put locks on most of the doors'. I am interested in the silicone grip case though as I live on a boat and travel around the canals in England. I have regularly dropped phones in the canal and really need a system that works all the year round so a cord attached to the grip may be the answer. By the way, the IP68 water and dust proof rating says your phone is good for up to 90 minutes in water - not true! I dropped my Note 10 in a canal and three weeks later I man called to say his son found it the mud when the section was drained. They put the phone in a warm place for a day then charged it up and got a phone number off the sim card so I got it back. Two years later I'm still using it. I also dropped an S20 Plus in water for 19 hours and successfully recovered it.
I have the S22 Ultra and use the Otterbox Defender case. It's bulky, but it also is grippy and provides great protection. Considering the price of the phone, I wouldn't want anything else. I feel like so many cases provide either no protection or very little protection from drops. For me, the Samsung cases don't work because of their simplicity.
Yeah.. Otterbox offers the highest protection but the thing is they are often too simple or to bulky to use... This is the reason i use UAG monarch cases... Unless your phone drop screen face down.. There's nothing a simple fall could do to your phone as it protects your back and sides really well..
@French Alcantara Yeah, I looked at those and chose to stay with Otterbox as I have for 7ish years now. I have dropped phones face down before and on the side. Even with a defender on my S5 years back, I still broke the screen. SoI know I need the highest level of protection from all drops
Have you taken the case off since you put it on? I used the same case and took it off after a month for routine cleaning and found that it had scratched and scuffed the sides, top, and bottom of my s22u. Apparently, this is an issue with this case. I stopped using it immediately. You may want to check your phone.
@Christlevania yes I did, and do so every so often. I did notice some small scratches on the right side of the aluminum frame. Only minimal scratches. I leave the plastic that was originally on the phones sides, bottom, and top on to protect against scratches. On my last phone, I scratched around the charging port quite a bit and learned that I need to keep the protective plastic on the phone so it doesn't do that.
So the ring on the clear gadget case covers up the Samsung logo?? Kinda dumb. Like Apple, I would want the logo to still be seen on a $1400 phone. Not a huge deal, but still a deal.
Leather case is awful. After just 3 months it's faded from just taking in and out of pocket. Dropped my phone once and the bottom of the case became rugged. Loved the look while it lasted 2 months..
I got SUPCASE unicorn beetle pro with a screen protector and a kickstand. I paid 25 bucks. Shocks me how that clear case is the same price and doesn't even protect the phone.
